kala111: My Corolla 05 makes a knocking sound when I put on the ignition with the engine oil light on. It goes off when throttle down and sound normal.
Also, the engine oil light blinks when car is idle or while braking mostly when the engine is warm and must have work for several minutes or hour.
I have just charged the oil pump thinking that was the culprit but the problem still persist.
What could have gone wrong pls expert in the house? There is something like oil switch change that |

Lexus – Bulletin Codes that requires ECM Flashing I had a Lexus ES330 with P0171 and P0174 and P0300 and codes related to a bad Air/Fuel Ratio sensor. After diagnosis I advised to change the A/F sensor and serviced the noozle couple with replacing the Air Filter and some hoses.
After all was done and the codes was gone. After few days the owner call me to tell me the check engine light was back on which I asked him to scan and send me the code or fault codes. I got a P2198 – LEXUS O² Sensor Signal Stuck Rich Bank 2 Sensor 1.
To further make you understand the fault Code P2198 possible causes are; Faulty O² sensor which I decided to eliminate since I replaced the one in the car with New OEM. Fault O² sensor Bank 2 sensor 1 harness. Or lastly Faulty ECM – Engine control Module. What I did was check for faulty O² sensor harness and ran some physical inspection on the air channel for leakage and check the fuel system for open or stuck open situations.
After that the code was wiped and and the owner went his way. Only to return the next day with the same code which I told him I will replace the O² sensor with a new one. I did but this time around it was a different code now with rhe new O² sensor,on the spot I was getting P2241 – P2241 LEXUS – A/F Sensor Bank 2 Short Circuit.
From this point I went on to make some more research and discovered this bulletin from Toyota about some stubborn faulty codes. Related to this particular issues
With this information I decided to replace with the old damaged O² sensor.

nonhuman: Oga blackbishop please help. My friend bought a Nigerian use 03 rav4, but I noticed the out of the 4 oxygen sensor bellow the manifold only 1 is connected, the rest are just there with their wires looking at me without a sucket, and when I checked underneath there is no hole for oxygen sensor on the on the catalyst, he have not really driven the car to know the rate of fuel consumption, please is this proper? If not, what can be done? That is not normal, first I will advise to run a scan then a physical inspection will allow me to determine what to be done sir. |

Zzor: Men are very good at saying a particular thing but act the exact opposite, you will see men all over social media saying they will go for brains over beauty but in reality you will see these same men ignoring the brain and going extra length to attract a beautiful lady and eventually marry them.
I have a friend (a first class product) who is bitterly complaining of not attracting men and that if she had options she will choose beauty first and a moderate brain.
Men why do you guys act this way but in reality you do the opposite? Can I get to meet that your brainy babe. On a serious note |

peeps4u: If the car has no issue, it is a fair price for 1.4m.
This is Toyota Camry(spider) if I'm right, popularly or simply called muscle Camry. The production started from year 2007 but I can't say which year is this. Other car gurus should be able to tell the year.
I don't think muscle camry generally has any peculiar stubborn mechanical problems except the normal issues any car can have. It is a durable car and you can see it litters everywhere, the car fits old, young, rich and average individuals.
Is it 4 plug? I asked this because a 4 plug car will safe you more fuel than V6 for uber work. Yes, you can use it for uber if things are tight at any moment, provided you will drive it yourself, don't give it out for rental.
Many people are using it for uber full time but it is driven mostly by the owner drivers.
Good luck and congrats on the purchase
Hi blackbishop, do you do paid inspection? Yes at request. |

peeps4u: LOL, I'm from Modakeke (Ife). I do go to ilesa once in a while.
Yes, I'm not arguing it might be as lively as Ife or Osogbo, neither putting on same scale as Lagos but isn't that bad now.
What more fun for a typical naija guy than to go beer parlour and cool body after work in the evening? No be everybody dey do clubbing, and if he likes clubbing that much, clubs dey osogbo and I'm sure there will be one or two in ilesa also. If he likes girls, girls yapa for ilesa, Ife, osogbo as higher institutions dey for these towns.
How many people dey even have time to catch fun for lagos with the daily stresses? You be Modakeke baba, where my maternal side dey Isale Agbala |

If he likes fun, he can drive to osogbo or Ife for fun on weekends, either of the places is just less than an hour drive from ilesa. There are many clubs springing up in Osogbo now. Baba ve you stayed there before? If you really plan on committing suicide, just go there for a week your suicidal mission will be faster than expected |

alongetayo: Dear Copilots I need your sincere advice.
I lost my contract bank job 2 and half years ago, though I was earning less than 80k.
6 months later I was able to gather funds, personal savings, Loans from family and friends (Non interest) and I got a Matrix 04, I have since paid back all these loans.
I have been driving on uber/bolt for 2 years and its wonderful. I net above 100k in a month when I work fully, but the fatigue and stress has been taking a toll on my health since last year( I started looing weight and now I'm down some other ailments, but getting better) I started active driving 2 years ago, may be im not the strong type tho.
Recently I got a job offer of a little above 100k(net) outside lagos(Ilesa, i am from the area also) which means I have to relocate. It comes with an accommodation.
My car is in perfect condition but I don't have the will to continue this ehailing job. Pls is it a good advice to take up the offer or I just continue my ehailing job, may be just weekend hustle?
Note: The job is just a managerial job and not too much stress in it. Bro I be ilesa boy to the core and politically active also but I can categorically tell you that as a young man ilesa is a dead zone. You will be bored to death. But if you are boring type you can cope. Ilesa is a place to retire but not to hustle like lag. The people there almost lynch me bcuz I stopped them from harassing a lady which was wrong in the first place. Na there I learn to follow them anyhow them want. Politics is sweet in ilesa sha |

kennycos2002: Greetings to engineer in the house, Kindly permit me to explain my experience and seek for an advice. I just bought a Ford Escape XLS 2005 model from the USA. The car was in it's perfect condition from the states before it arrived Lagos port for delivery. Unfortunately, the clearing agent/driver that brought the car out towed the vehicle which was manhandled. As at when the car was delivered to me, the car was giving a knocking sound after which I spent over 50k to fix the to cylinder. 2 weeks after the car was fixed I began to notice another sound from the engine whenever it's on gear 1, the car drives smoothly once it manages to leave gear 1. I have contacted my mechanic, he said it's a piston issue, which he advised I change the engine rather than spending unnecessary money on it second time.
Please, has anyone experienced this?
Is it advisable I work on the piston?
Suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated. If you dont want to enter depression just change the engine or else mechanic will build boys quarter ontop your head |
