NaotoKan:
I find that funny and ironical considering the bold by Majisuka.

No one knows what you studied, what you intend to study but you want random people to post the links to graduate studies' pages. Shey if I post links to Toyohashi University, you go like am? Or will you be able to afford fees by Waseda? What about Fukushima University, e go make sense? Or I post links to some obscure graduate programs in Hirosaki University? So you see why you need to conduct your own research to find what you desire?

When Majisuka made what I described as the legendary post, I didn't wait any longer, I did my research and applied to six universities. Followed up with calls made in the night (Nigerian time - 8 hours behind Japan). Initially, my major issue was the "come to Japan, write the entrance examination and return to wait for the result". But that issue was addressed by both Blackbriar and Majisuka, so what else was left? Applying, applying and applying.

You need to start imbibing the spirit of being a researcher if you really want to enter a graduate program.
Which was I asked one, if he truly wanted to come to Japan.
In japan.no one has time to assist you with all this information. They don't even speak English and those that do are shy to speak it.
If in this internet age.you can't do a simple google search....hmmmmmm.

I don begin fear seriously, so one with a 2.2 result doesn't stand much chance. Do they offer something like a post graduate diploma course over there for a graduate with a weaker Bsc who may be unable to secure a direct admission for a master's program?
That is not what he said.

1. They are prestigious high ranked universities in Japan like too 5, you have to be good academic ally to get in
They are University of Tokyo (Todai)
Kyoto university
Hokkaido University
Tohoku university
Can't remember the other now.

2. You can get in with 2.2 for a graduate program in even the mentioned universities in number 1, but it depends on the professor in charge of the specialist ion course you want to do. Which is why we have always said on this page. Always send mas to the professor. If he accepts to have you in his lab based on the research plan you sent to him.then you will get admission

Have been communicating with several national Universities in Japan for a post graduate program and i discovered that you are even allowed to pay your tuition twice but the only factor still holding me back is that they are all demanding for an IELTS certificate. Japan that doesn't speak English is making IELTS compulsory for we Nigerians that English is our lingua franca.
This is new but however I can understand

I have seen Bangladeshi , Sri lankans with mehnnn English that will warrant knocks from popsy and momsy

Plus the ielts helps the University for its ranking . Ranking helps the University attract more funding.

I think my university lost its mext University slot cos of this.

Try close eye write am.

Japanese national universities are affordable than UK or USA universities.
Graduate programs in Japan are research based master's not course work.
So you learn a lot and you do your experiments and reaserch yourself fully funded by the university.you don't pay or spend any one naira or yen of yours on your research.
Plus if your research is good. Your department also funds you to attend and present at conferences.
The average annual tuition fees at Japanese national universities is about 550,000 yen.
You also get to do part time work as a student, your visa allows it.

Undergraduate is strictly in japanese
And you have to prove your Japanese proficiency with jlpt n2 result
Can you write a chemistry exam fully in japanese?
Only graduate programs are both in japanese and English

Bros this question has been answered repeatedly here.
We even also confirm that mext has been collobid.
Google about Japanese national university
Write to a professor
Some have grants and may support you
Or you hustle as a student
National university in Japan is affordable and we'll equipped
But if you dey wait scholarship from Nigeria.....long thing
There are also scholarship only available to an enrolled graduate student like rotary scholarship
So make that move.

Is it that there is no Nigerian currently studying in any of the Japanese universities who could guide some of us on how to gain admission into any of the national Universities in Japan for either undergraduate or post graduate study.
Oga this has been answered numerous times on this thread., which is only 27 pages.
Japanese student visa is very easy to get, just present your admission letter.

Finally had my first plate of Jollof Rice at African Home Touch, Roppongi. There's a lot of other West African (almost all of them are Nigerian and Ghanaian dishes) to choose from but too bad I wasn't in a mood of very adventurous options like egusi or pepper stews with eba sides. I guess it's kinda authentic because the owner is a Ghanaian and she told me that the Nigerian version isn't that far off than its Ghanaian counterpart. For someone unfamiliar with it, the jollof plate itself tasted like a smoky Nasi Goreng (Indonesian black fried rice) with some hint of tomato paste . Would definitely come back if I have chance or happen to be around Roppongi to sample the stews though.

This is really poor jollof rice by Nigerian standard.
Please next time try the Eba and egusi . It’s purely Nigerian and cannot be below par.
