Today ,being 17th November 2018, marks one year since this....this... thing was released

TheKingIsHere:The future is female ![]() |
I hope this is just a rumour. Cuz if it eventually turns out to be true, Disney would be shooting themselves in the foot. They should learn from Ghostbusters. There is no Pirates Of The Caribbean without Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow. Rebooting /remaking Pirates of the Caribbean is one thing. Replacing Depp is another. Depp is irreplaceable. I don't get the craze behind replacing male characters with females. The female Thor that Marvel did still shocks me.

Before you criticize gays. Just know that Yeshua aka white Jesus was also gay. He moves around with 12 men and ends his prayers with AH-MEN ![]()

Aquaman new behind the scenes featurette. I just love James Wan. Hopefully he will bring the magic he used in Conjuring franchise to DC. We need that spark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFO0Dztcr4g |
TonySpike:I watched the video. The man was absolutely right. WB and Joss destroyed Justice League with their own hands. Damn.. If only Zack's daughter didn't die. But after all the hasty reshoots, they should have delayed the film and released it in January when Zack must have recovered. But heck.. No. They wanted to make money without caring about the quality of the product. Joss changed almost the entire film. And WB reduced the runtime to a paltry 120 minutes. A 200m movie plus 100m for reshoots. We were supposed to get something great but instead the movie was rushed and the tone was changed. Oh... And Supes horrible CGI was also a product of reshoots cuz a beardless Henry had already wrapped filming before they called him back for reshoots after he already grown beards for MI6. I don't want to talk about the crappy sexual joke that Joss made with Barry and Diana plus scrapping a dark, gritty Batman for a guy who makes a bunch of dry one liners. JL was supposed to be a blockbuster but WB ruined it just like they ruined a promising Suicide Squad by cutting, meddling and unnecessary reshoots to ruin the director's vision. I'm glad James Wan was given a free hand to direct Aquaman plus they gave the movie over 2 hrs 20 mins runtime and pushed the release date to December just so we could get a complete movie. I'm optimistic about the future. Saturday will make it one year since the abomination called Josstice League was released, I don't want to think about it anymore. It brings nothing but sadness. |
About time....

IamD18:Seems like you enjoy mocking Nigerian women. ![]() You always have a problem with our women, don't you ![]() |
DannyKoice:Are you serious
|
. |
MobileGees:Yes I noticed it too. But it's not a bad thing to do. You making it sound like feminism in Hollywood is bad. There is nothing wrong with using movies to push feminist ideologies ![]() Is there ![]() |
Raalsalghul:Compare that final battle with doomsday with the short 6 minutes final battle in BVS, you will see the big difference. I didn't criticise BVS much but after watching Death Of Superman I have to admit that BVS should have done better. Death Of Superman gave us the true, comic accurate Doomsday. The Doomsday in BVS was just dull and less fierce. The final battle with Doomsday in BVS was also too short and less intense. I don't know why DC cartoons keeps shining in the areas where the movies fail. |
KoiceReloaded:I just heard that Hollywood is remaking Child's Play too. Still think remakes and reboots are not bad news ![]() It's very unfortunate that Stan Lee is dead. Will we ever get a creative genius like him again. Cuz it's very obvious that Hollywood of nowadays lacks creativity and brilliant original ideas ![]() It's always remakes, reboots, Comic book and novels adaptations....nothing more. |
Beorn:More cameos are coming. Reports say Stan Lee already filmed his cameos for Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 before he died. |
MJBOLT:You no carry am for head but you are the one that brought it up even though it is not in any way related to my opinion on Tom and Tobey. ![]() Can we get back to mourning Stan Lee now ![]() |
MJBOLT:Now I know you have a problem. We are supposed to put aside fanboy wars and mourn the great Stan Lee. But NO not YOU. You will always carry DC matter for head like plantain. Wetin concern DC with Stan Lee's love for Tobey Maquire or Tom's stand-up comedy ![]() Abeg leave me make I mourn the great Stan Lee. No dey put nose for my matter every time. The person I quoted never talk anything sef, na you wey dey rush me. |
MJBOLT:Of course he would praise him. Do you expect Stan Lee to talk bad of Tom Holland ![]() But Tobey was his favorite, his favourite adaptation of Spiderman. That is the point. He echoes the sentiments of not just me but the majority of fans as well. Tom Holland is a stand up comedian playing around with sophisticated tech. His jokes are not even funny sef ![]() Tobey and Garfield are miles better than that boy. And yes, Tobey's Spiderman 2 is the greatest marvel film ever produced. Say the truth and stop sucking Tom's amu unecessarily. |
Eberex:We honoured him bruh... But most of us didn't honour him on this thread. His death has been trending since yesterday on twitter, facebook and nairaland sef. R. I P has been flying from all corners bruh.. DC was the first to pay tribute sef even before Marvel and Disney did. |
DC pays tribute to Stan Lee.
|
KoiceReloaded:Of course Tobey's Spiderman would be his favorite. Not the dry stand-up comedian we have today running around playing dress up Tobey Maguire is to Spiderman what Heath Ledger is to Joker. |
Today, the world lost one of its most iconic storytellers. Stan Lee, the writer behind many of Marvel’s top heroes, passed away at 95 years old. Now, millions of fans are taking the time to remember Lee for all his work, and DC Comics is no exception. Taking to Twitter, the official DC Comics page posted a brief statement about Lee after news of his passing went public. You can read the message below: “He changed the way we look at heroes, and modern comics will always bear his indelible mark. His infectious enthusiasm reminded us why we all fell in love with these stories in the first place. Excelsior, Stan.” He changed the way we look at heroes, and modern comics will always bear his indelible mark. His infectious enthusiasm reminded us why we all fell in love with these stories in the first place. Excelsior, Stan. — DC (@DCComics) November 12, 2018 Despite Marvel’s infamous rivalry with DC Comics, there are no sides when it comes to realizing the genius of Lee. While the creator’s final days were embattled with controversy, Lee pulled through with his usual cheer of, “Excelsior!” The legendary writer continued to reach out to his fans on social media, and fans awaited his comments on upcoming Marvel Studios flicks like Captain Marvel. Now, fans are taking their time to remember Lee for his many deeds and the characters he helped bring to life. Together with Jack Kirby, the writer brought the Fantastic Four together for the first time, and the infamous family was only the start for Lee. Over his long career, Lee helped created characters like Spider-Man, X-Men, The Avengers, and many more. Outside of print, Lee has had a big hand in Marvel’s tenure on the big- and small-screen. His involvement with Marvel’s various films and TV projects helped him become one of the most prolific producers to date. He has acted as executive producer on Marvel Studios’ movies, and he has credits on the company’s features under Fox and Sony. With so many accomplishments under his hand, Lee transcended his work as a writer and editor to become the face of comic books in the west. Even after stepping away from his active role with Marvel, Lee remained a dedicated champion of all things superhero, and fans are remembering his tenacious spirit. Now, DC Comics is stepping up to memorialize the man that helped create the landscape where comics flourish, and there is no room for any rivalry to step between such an honor. Following Stan Lee’s death earlier today, Marvel has also released a statement on the legendary creator's death. Marvel's statement included a quote from Disney CEO and Chairman Bob Iger. “Stan Lee was as extraordinary as the characters he created," Iger says. "A superhero in his own right to Marvel fans around the world, Stan had the power to inspire, to entertain and to connect. The scale of his imagination was only exceeded by the size of his heart." The rest of Marvel's statement looks back on Lee's long career with the comic book publisher. You can read the full statement here.
