Family › Re: My Roommate Snores So Loud What Do I Do? by blank(f): 2:37pm On Jan 05, 2014
@Kulyie, that is a cool story. However, it only works when the snoring is caused by being overweight. There are people with other reasons for snoring which would require surgery. Try and tell them to have the surgery so you can sleep and hear what they will say.

carefreewannabe: Do you really think it's that easy for a father to forget about his kids? What kind of family did you grow up in? A family that values money more than their own children? Just wondering.
Is it that easy for wife to forget her kids? Someone has to give in cos the kids cannot be with the two parents at the same time.
Career › Re: Help!!!! Globacom Is Being Messed Up... by blank(f): 6:14pm On Jan 03, 2014
Why would you have loans that are up to 70% of your salary? It is even against the Employee Act where max loan is meant to be 33.33% of your net pay. Why are you living above your means? So no form of savings etc? N4m is a healthy amount to earn. Maybe it is what they can afford to offer based on your perceived benefit to them.

If you were as hard working as you want us to believe, other companies would have started competing for your signature. Bottom line is that you need to improve yourself, cut back on your costs and leave if you cannot stand it.

Family › Re: Who Should Take And Pick Children From School by blank(f): 4:47pm On Jan 02, 2014
Anybody that it is convenient for. If the wife works far away from home while husband works next door to the school, he should keep waiting for the wife to pick and drop them and vice-versa.

Why do we like making rigid rules when there is no need for such? If it is not convenient for either, they should use the school bus system. Life is too short jare.s

A 2 year old can reason, so talk to him. Ask him if he watched a scary film, etc. Talk to him on his level. Ask him what makes him scared, etc. Then do something about it depending on his kinda character.
Take him out during the day and show him his shadow, then tell him to stomp on it and make fun of it. The goal is for him to get comfortable with his shadow.

Poor boy. I feel his pain.

@Ify, i almost bought a bag from them and was considering doing it next year when i have recovered from Christmas. Meen, what i am seeing is a sorry excuse for a bag worth 10k. Did you say that the clothes you bought from Jumia were good quality? I am so scared to use Jumia after their last disappointment. But i really need to shop and don't have the opportunity to do it physically.

Family › Re: Verbal Abuse VS Physical Abuse, Which Is Worse? by blank(f):
The thing about emotional abuse is that it is too vague. Can you define it? If it's words, what one can deem hurtful will just be brushed aside by another. Someone says "he makes me feel inferior and less than a person". It is based so much on perception, feeling, etc.

It is so hard to quantify emotional abuse so (logical) people tend to disregard it and focus on what can be quantified which is physical abuse.

But the law states that you have to have a c of o before you can obtain a building permit. They probably did a fake one and built illegally. Did they think that the owners would just let them steal their land?

Okay, so they were sold illegal lands, must they build? Instead of trying to sort out the title, they resorted to illegal means. Sorry for them.

Layolaw: please mothers l need urgent reply to my question now, l said my 10 mths old girl is teething and stooling seriously for 2 days now, apart from given ors and flagy what else can l do? and she is not eating only breastmilk
2 days is a long time for a baby to be stooling. And she is already on Flagyl? You might have to take her to the doctor.
Sometimes, Septrin cures what Flagyl cannot.

Health › Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by blank(f): 12:38pm On Dec 16, 2013
@Marygold, her sleepless night is caused by her sleeping during the day. Stop her from sleeping during the day. When she wants to sleep, start playing with her. Then put her to sleep earlier than you would normally do. Keep shifting her bedtime till you get the one that works for you.

I will advise you put her on a schedule so that she gets used to sleeping and eating at a particular time.

clily: Hello mummy's, I wanna say a big thank u 2 guys 4 dis wonderful thread, God wil surely bless us and we shall reap d fruit of our labours..pls I wil love u guys 2 come 2 M̶̲̥̅γ̲̣̣ aid ones again, dis Iƨ̣̣̣̇̇̇ realy giving me sleepless nights..I hv a new helper recently and she's a small girl dat came from one village, pls M̶̲̥̅γ̲̣̣ problem nw Iƨ̣̣̣̇̇̇ dat I want M̶̲̥̅γ̲̣̣ children 2 be speaking queens English buh dis girl speaks their native language 2 them wheneva she carry's them..note-they are 5 months, and I want 2 knw if its too early 4 them 2 comprehend and undastand things, pls advice me on what 2 do so I won't hurt d little girls feelings
Please, encourage her. In fact, dont let her speak English to them cos her English will be very bad and will spoil their English. Children can learn as many languages as you teach them. The only thing may be that they may not start speaking on time but they will eventually learn English. In fact, speak better than the Queen.

Car Talk › Re: Weird Experiences On The Road by blank(f):
There was a time, i was maybe 9 or 10. I was walking down the road after running an errand. I was with my sister. As we were walking, i heard someone from behind say "Fine Girl" and then i received a very dirty slap. I was so confused until i realised that it was the conductor in a bus that had just picked up passengers and was driving past. Apparently, the guy tried to touch my face from the bus but because they were moving fast, the velocity turned it to a slap.

I can't ever forget that day as it was my first slap and last slap ever in my life.
