1. Religion(hypocrites and parasites masquerading as 'believers' of babalawo and 'juju-ology').

2. Poverty(Help!!!. . . Will phock for food by the roadside. . . Both the men and women. . . .career emotional love-peddlers).

3. Selfishness(do unto me and not unto others).

4. 419(what is mine is mine and what is yours is mine).

5. Poor role modelling from parents(lack of committment from generational emotional vagabonds).

6. Low self-esteem(MENTAL HEALTH challanges and coginitive impairment. . .Developmental delays from malnutrition. . .stunted emotional and physical growth. . . domestic violence from poor parenting, poor verbal and non verbal skills. . .outright TIMID!!!!).

7. Lack of exposure(you can take a monkey ourra the bush, but the 'bush monkey' stays in the 'bush monkey').

8. Unhealthy competition(e-badu belle and e-jelosi and lack of progress).

9. Lack of education(semi-illiterates can never make good partners.

10.Unemployment.

FamilyRe: Religion In Igbo Marriage by Blazay(m): 12:52pm On Feb 28, 2011
It does not matter.
As long as there is money involved. cheesy

a women must follow her future husbands religion,
Two of our 'meghads' in Nigeria just performed wine-carrying ceremonies on 2 Igbo ladies from the East(Owerri) to be exact(who were always coming to sleep in our compound for months. . . .with 50,000Naira to purchace rice, goats, and some tinned tomatos e.t.c.) grin

Funny thing. . .they young men previously married young girls from the North(they had abandoned after marriage to come back to the South. . .only to be impregnated by other men in the North in their absences). Quite difficult to say what kind of religion they'd be practicing in their homes. My mom is visiting. . . when she wakes up, I will ask her.

Ooooooooooooh I just asked her and she said:

"Hmmmmmmm. . . I nor follow dem go o!
I tell them say my hand nor dey for h-inside o!
I nor know which wan be Christian and which wan be Mooz-lum.
Sha-sha. . . sometimes dem say dem dey go mosque. . .some times them say dem dey go church."

What religion in the final analysis is anyone's guess. . . at the right price.

FamilyRe: Marriage In Distress: Need Advice by Blazay(m): 11:45am On Feb 28, 2011
@OP,

You are only going through what most couples experience in the early stages of "macrimony".
You may need to consider the "open marriage" option. A marriage is always open for men, with many doors and windows for fresh air.

Stop worrying yourself, get a job, focus on your life/kids.
You are making this community "husband" of yours and his family too important in your life.
This is why ALL women should be bread winners. grin

Why are you being so sensitve and melodramatic? undecided
Are you not dealing with an African man? Are you not an Afican woman?
I hope you do not stroke out and make your kids the "steps" to another or several women?

I think you need one or two boyfriends yourself. You are a Nigerian woman, this should not be a problem.
In the mean time, invest heavily in condoms.
You ain't seen nothing yet. cheesy

As for the family members, you need to ban ALL of them from
your home. . . .or if you are some "broke" housewife, just sit there till God rescues ya!
You are living in bondage!!!! cry

Take Kia. kiss

It saves us the cost of having to pay for counseling as these relatives are always on hand to give solicited and unsolicited advice and we do so love them for that. So away with all the talk about equal rights and justice, away with symbiotic relationships, we love who we are and we are grateful to our men for saving us from the shame and stigma of being described as Unattached Professional Nigerian Women.

HealthRe: Waiting For Hiv Result? Please Share Your Experience by Blazay(m): 12:09am On Feb 26, 2011
The first time I was apprehensive because I had never met anyone with HIV/AIDS.
After I started working in the hospital, and have taken care of some HIV/AIDS patients, I became better educated concerning the diagnosis/prognosis.
I have consented to blood transfusions in the past too.
It is a great relief to be HIV-negative.
But since it is no longer a death sentence, I ain't worried about it.
Being married is the greatest HIV risk. . . .you never know what the other person is doing behind your back.
But not scared of that anymore.
Life goes on. kiss

Actually, do nothing.

The sex must be goooooood.
I have always heard that the most abusive men make the best lovers. wink
You know? Half man is berra than none.
My mother always told us that you never have to tell a deaf man there is war in town.

You have 3 children and that is all you will ever need to prove you are a real woman to man and God.

Just prepare your will, pick your funeral date, NL will handle the rest as in putting your marra on the front page to honour you.

Hope this helps?

FamilyRe: To What Extent Can A Mother Go For Her Children? by Blazay(m): 5:09am On Feb 25, 2011
Being a concerned parent does not mean risking jail time for an almost 18 year-old child. If your child has "rottened" up in your care all those years, it means you have FAILED as a mother. The child is almost an adult. . . Prolly raised himself while the woman was jumping from owambe to owambe in London too. Now, she wants to prove "sweet mother, i nor go forget you. . .blah, blah, blah, blah"! Rubbish.

The child is from a broken home, what do we expect?  undecided

Is it in that Naija of a place he will not still go "badder"?
See "Tobechi, Abia State King Of Herpes"? Was he not sent back as a child, back to Nigeria to be with his dad?
Look how he turned out o. cheesy

Sheeeeeeeeesh.

Tell the selfish parents to think about their actions before deciding to breed like rats/rabbits.
The children suffer it all. Too bad the couple "fell out of love", separated or wharrrreva. The children did not ask to be born.
Father in Nigeria phocking around, mother in the UK working 20 jobs, child raising himself.

I am sure she is one of those who fought tooth and nail to keep the son. She was NEVER married to the child's father(born-again, pre-marital sexstars wink, who can't keep phocking and repenting in the names of both God and the Devil). Why wait till now to send him to a "strange" father? This child keeps getting shuttled back and forth as the situation suits the selfish parents. Thank God for the civilized world and their laws! cool

Why not send him to Nigeria at a much younger age? Abi she don chop child-support moni finsh?

No, I do not have all the facts. I don't need them. Poor parenting is the main problem here, where adults put their needs before those of their children SELFISHLY.

Just my opinion and I am entitled to them, right or wrong.

Sorry, I say serves her right again! cool
