INEC is more clever by adding one one figure in front of apc scores thereby increasing apc votes. Am convince that the election will never fly. Vote buying has bn part of our Electoral System in Nigeria since 1999...so people pretending that they didn't buy votes are just plain stupid...Has anyone seen APC come out to say that they didn't induce voters with cash in Ekiti? No...But the most corrupt political party in the history of the world, PDP, are claiming innocent of an electoral sin that it introduced into our polity, something a 6 year old is apprised of in Nigeria...I just have never experienced it bn done with such impunity.

The thing is that, both parties did it, but Fayose should look inwards as to why he lost Ekiti...he shot himself in the foot; imposition and calling the bluff of the aggrieved in PDP, plus d non-payment workers salary for close to a year are d main reasons he lost Ekiti...No matter d rigging, it is difficult for a political party to rig successfully where it's not popular...Despite huge cash inducement and military presence, APC still lost in Anambra.

The thing is that this cash inducement thing won't fly in court (not in a Nigerian court anyways) as the two main contenders are guilty of same crime...so the loser should just forget it and move on...while a lesson should be learnt from it and measures put in place to reduce it in subsequent elections (because there is no way u can get rid of it, it's in our DNA).

Just a parting shot to Aregbesola, he had better take care of whatever he owes the Osun State workers, as d same treatment might be waiting patiently for him at d next bend...when u make your civil service suffer, it has ripple effects on the entire masses one way or the other....and it eventually comes back to bite u when u need them.

He has susceptible loyal fans and supporters and yet not loyal to anyone or any party becos of his greed, selfishness and voracious personality to get power at all cost, this man only cares about himself and political ambition and will most definitely even betray God himself and Nigerians as long as he gets what he wants.

Well, No surprises becos he's just an epitome of the typical Nigerian politician. Nigeria will always be stagnant and backwards as long as we have these self-seeking, greedy and pilfering muggers in the corridors of power.
What do expect from a man who betrayed his own biological father...Just imagine Saraki is from a royal family with a lot of kids to succeed their father as King...i wonder what he would do to his siblings and father to get there...a political snake he is.... grin

PoliticsRe: Fighting Factors: Why PDP Lost Ekiti To APC by blazer2018: 6:30pm On Jul 17, 2018
banio:
Civil servants are in every local government area. They are the best people to sound a governors praise.
When you don't pay civil servants, then your loss is certain. Even if you like pay up all arrears a day to the election, you will still loss.
And what Fayose failed to understand is that prompt payment or otherwise in a state like Ekiti has serious ripple effect on the entire masses...Plus d 3K he doled out on d eve of the election was a slap in their already hungry and angry faces....if he hadn't, maybe they would have believed d state didn't have money true true (dat d FG withheld their Paris funds) like he made them believe...At d end na arrogance kill am.

Now i am beginning to realise why Fayose and goons are fighting frantically to discredit d just concluded Ekiti polls...He is trying to remain relevant in the PDP...who respects a loser anyways? Someone who even declared his Presidential ambition o... grin

After bragging that he would deliver the entire SW to PDP... and he still could't manage to deliver his own LG...it's obvious he's fighting the fight of his life...his political relevance might just go under d water if he loses dis lost battle.

Best of luck to him and his bingo at d tribunal and the various courts...but he should know that the wives of Peter Odili and Wike won't be able to win him back Ekiti, if that is his plan.

Thanks for mentioning the countries you quoted, can the magnitude of natural disasters that happen in those countries be contained here?

Tsunami struck Japan some years back that even affected their nuclear plant, did you watch the events on CNN, can such response be done in Nigeria?

Wild fires happen in America well, lives are lost, properties destroyed, but does it change the fact that the government quick response save a lot of lives and the rebuilding program are usually top notch
Well u are so correct...we are always reactive in Nigeria instead of bn preemptive.

On a lighter note, I think God knew what we can and can't handle as a continent, hence, He created far away from d fault lines...far away from natural disaster beyond our capabilities.... grin

Nigeria one of the worse places on earth to live, ordinary rain caused this damage, what if we lived in zones where hurricanes, volcanoes, tsunamis, earthquakes hit us, how would we have faired.

I dont blame people who desperately escape this sheet hole.

A proper drainage system could have averted this crisis, a well organised town planning unit could have ensured best standards were followed to ensure houses are built to standard.

I weep for Nigeria
In as much as we we are lacking behind in so many things in Nigeria doesn't mean such occurrence are limited to us...Japan lost over 200 lives to flood last week...even USA gets hits by wild fires that spreads miles...so many times they have bn hit by massive floods that led to lost of lives and property...It's a global phenomenon bro...Global warming

They town planning from day one has bn lacking but there massive drainages around those places...but d constant dumping of refuse is the order of d day...despite the provision for refuse disposal.
