Lol what's the issue now? Is the state assembly not allowed to change laws anymore? |
Lol Im surprised nobody brought the fact you can get married in any neighboring state. The government will still recognize those marriages so the law can easily be circumvented. |
Thats the governments fault. You decided to make the national ID free without budgeting the cash to cover the millions of people. There's no issue with Nigerians paying for passports and drivers licenses but this had to be free. Lol the broke bums on thread start crying when you say they pay for their own stuff. The second issue there's jo centralized database. Someone can just change the names easily and start doing fraud. |
People should look into arbitration services as an alternative anyway. It would be better than regular courts in some circumstances.. |
This would be an interesting wedge issue for an opposition party to run on. It just depends how much do lagosians actually care. |
grandstar:Lol his only good policy suggestions was legalizing marijuana to increase tax revenue. Two kogi kogi politicians agreed but never sponsored bills regarding it. |
Iamgrey5:Impeachment is the only option. The way the laws are made the officers of the president only answer to him. NASS would have to amend constitution to be able to inpeach officers of president like they able to United States without his input.
|
Okoroawusa:Your premise is wrong so conclusion is wrong by default. Dont be basic you have options. |
urahara:Lol I wont be shocked if they vote APC in 2023. |
Lol why is 800 million naira in the office instead of bank? If its in the office it must've been in a safe. How many people know the combo to safe and have access to this room? Lol this clearly an inside job. |
NGpatriot:I doubt that especially if they're just carrying out the bosses orders. It's no different from how they disobeyed court by stalling to release him despitw his lawyers protesting. Do you think these guys would just barge into court room unprompted? |
Pay your bills like everyone else. |
That would have to be investigated. I believe they're acting on Buhari's orders. The main reason is nobody seems to be arrested or condemned for their actions. After everything said and done the buck stop with him as the commander in chief. |
Dollarheist:They wont get it. They're passive bystanders looking for a savior in the form of the US or International community. Nigerians should tell NASS to impeach before running outside looking for help. Personally I dont think America cares. The only sanction Cameroon received was getting kicked from AGOA. They're still giving them foreign aid. In Nigeria case they're giving foreign aid and selling weapons. |
Why should the International step in when Nigerians haven't even attempted to clean uo their own mess? |
Everyone is just blowing hot air if it doesn't lead to anything. Buhari not going to be impeached over this. The DSS probably wont be punished. If both facts are true he should continue since there's no consequences to these actions besides a few tweets and grumblings. |
Nothing surprising here. Premium times did a whole investigative series on this topic showing the rot in the school system. My only issue is with the shills who defend this but don't send their kids to public school. |
Is this an impeachable offense to you? If nobody is fired clearly Buhari supports these actions implicitly. |
muzeze77:Agreed, now lead the charge in your local government and state. I think we should should have ballot measures for state and local issues. The infrastructure already in place to fa illegal it. |
I watched Queen and Slim the other night. It was pretty good. |
Lol what a lawless set of people. The FG is dumb and impotent when its times to enforce rules it makes. It was stupid for everyone involved to write the law to take immediate effect. All they had to do is make it take effect next fiscal year if they really were bent on raising wage. There's two options when it comes to wagee either cut or collect more tax. |
DailyTrust wrote a good advice about fire fighting in Nigeria. The reason for our problems arent spiritual as some would want you to believe. Demanding your local representatives invest in fire departments will solve the issue. Excerpt from the article. Plateau has four fire trucks, Cross River has one, Edo has two and two water tankers, Kebbi has three old trucks and six grounded ones. Kogi has two trucks to serve 21 local government areas while the number of it's personnel dropped from 185 to 19 due to retirement and deaths. the fire services across the states lack other basic facilities such as boots, jackets, hoses, fire extinguishers, fire blankets and branches that release water with pressure. As such in most cases the firemen cannot respond quickly to distress calls because they are incapacitated. |
Unless America plans to restrict foreign aid this gesture doesn't matter. The United States didnt do anything to Cameroon besides removing them from AGOA. |
AghaAguike:The country remains one because every country would like a coast line. Alot of nations have to subsize poorer regions with taxes. The mineral resource revenue issue is present in alot of countries. I'd recommend prisoners of geography if you like to learn more. The country survives without oil through industry and making more secondary products. There's other primary sector like mining Nigeria hasnt really tapped. |
the country will also have a section that offenders who were never convicted will be displayed for an administrative fee.If you're not convicted you shouldn't be in the database. You essentially have a long list of accused people. |
Stop the threats and take action. You know nobody going to enforce the order but do it anyway. Lol maybe someone in the next administration will carry it out. |
Lol the ability to vote yourself money is good. Why go out get and get a regular job or start a business when you live off the tax payers. They wont do anything but whine on social media anyway. |
The government understands it needs to worry about productivity of farmers. This seems similar to policy India used to increase agriculture output. I just hope they dont pigeonhole themselves sourcing exclusively Nigerian producers when they can import. These sort of initiatives should be led by private sector. The government should see what incentives can be offered. While still speaking, Nanono said “Already, we are planning to establish service centers across the 774 Local Government Areas across Nigeria, where farmers can access improved seed and other farm inputs.

Its good historians are debunking propaganda. This is why history is important since people will use it to justify bad policies. I do find it weird people are so ready to copy maoist China's policies. These sre the same people who think china 1 child policy was brilliant. Front page: Lalasticlala mynd44 |
ultimatebas:You cant get in contact with them directly. Btw presidency on nairaland is the official handle of statehouse. https://statehouse.gov.ng/participate/ Raxxye:On countries like US you wont get opportunity to speak with them on the phone. It wil be some aids handling the hundreds of calls. If you happen to be in the capital you xan personally talk to them in their office or lobby if you catch them. |
LegendHero:Most are ignorant and just like ranting on social media for attention. Some people even ask do they pick respond like they didnt try it themselves. |
nlPoster:They have phone numbers, email addresses, office address and sometimes social media. https://www.nassnig.org/mps/senators https://www.nassnig.org/mps/members |
