FreeStuffsNG:
How such basic argument with facts and numbers makes you upset and become reckless and uncouth beggars belief. The FAAN Boss is giving you the reason why FAAN will not accept to run these white elephant projects by the time those states dash them to operate.
Why did they agree to run state Airports 🤨 ? They were supposed to be in the process of concessioning their airports to the private sector. Lol nothing about this situation makes sense.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says the state-owned airports are an additional burden on its finances and projections.
Some of these airports were handed over to the Federal Government through FAAN after construction.

they breached the agreement . Looking like its gentleman agreement that has no legal binding. The technology in 1950s and 1960s when the dams were built is not same today. The builders could have told them it can be built without it affecting our dam. For now we should still be selling to others

https://humanglemedia.com/despite-agreement-with-nigeria-nigerien-govt-progressing-with-dam-construction-on-river-niger/
They breached a non binding agreement? The government hasn't reacted at all publicly. None of the countries recognize any agreement since there's no treaty to speak of. Do you know the year who signed the agreement or when it was ratified? There's nothing forcing Nigeria to sell electricity to these nations especially if they aren't paying.

Honestly it will be better when they do start building their dams like Niger Republic is doing. It turns out their dam will make them independent of electricity imports. As you said they the technology isn't the same anyway and they supposedly talking it over with countries downstream.

ednut1:
Go to mainstream office in abuja ( operator of kainji and jebba) they have a copy of the agreement lol
Why did you say it's a gentleman agreement if there's a copy of agreement? Lol this would make for an interesting FOIA if you're correct.

Is Nigeria also forced to provide neighbouring countries with electricity to prevent them damming river Niger up stream?

ChatGPT:
There is no evidence to suggest that Nigeria is forced to provide neighboring countries with electricity to prevent them from damming the River Niger upstream. However, the construction of dams on the River Niger by upstream countries such as Mali and Guinea can potentially affect the flow of the river downstream, including Nigeria.
Franking:
Thanks.

This raises more questions. What have successive governments from Obasanjo to Buhari done to about the inadequate transmission capability of the country?

One is forced to buy into some conspiracy theories. Nigeria is truly an embarrassment.
The craziest part is government officials perpetuate these to the public. Even when a simple Google search would tell you Niger Republic is building a dam. People will mindlessly tell this lie like NPCs.

impact of one dam is not the same as having 5 dams there. I once audited the company operating kainji and jebba dams. Na dem engineers tell us
You stated the electricity is sold so these won't build a dam. Obviously that isn't a deterrent not to. The other three can do so if they please since there's nothing legally preventing them from doing so.

PoliticsRe: Does uniform PAYE Tax Rates benefit States or people? by Blue3k(op):
Still waiting on someone to explain why a uniform tax policy is better than state deciding their own. It's weird how much people like uniformity in the federal republic if Nigeria. Even if the states need to improve tax collection there's little chance they'll all demand the same rates taxation. Honestly I believe the reason everyone is more obsessed about resource taxation is because they don't want to think these sort of taxes.

helinues:
I am not in support of Ekeremadu's criminal behavior .

You are not getting my point. Their reactions about Ekeremadu's sentencing is political. It's all about 2019 election which Ekeremadu did not support Obi.

Some of them have been claiming Gov Soludo should forget about his reelection, and whenever I asked them what if he performed wonderfully well, they still say they don't care, what then is the sin of Gov Soludo? Because he did not support Obi.

Link those 2 scenarios together and see the reason why some of them are happy about Ekeremadu's sentencing

Those who supported Kanu, Simeon Ekpa, ESN and UGM yet claiming they don't support any criminal activities
You're just projecting it's about Obi because you're concerned about him. Half the comments I read lambast him for not setting up medical infrastructure at home. Also remember they didnt cry for him when he was assaulted in london either. This was before Peter Obi ever came into the picture. Yeah, they do support those groups for different reasons. One man's freedom fight is another man's terrorist.

Soludo being potential denied reelection is just democracy in action. If they don't feel represented by him why does he need to stay in office? They clearly support labor policies, so there's going to be a natural consequence to going against it. If he preformed well he better be savvy and have receipts to show he's the better option. This one reason I don't worship at the alter of democracy.

These same actions aren't even legal in Nigeria. Remember he presided over this law when it was being debated. He should of spoke up said he wants organ buying & sales legal.

Most parents especially wealthy ones don't risk there freedom acting this way. Did you know he could of legally went to Iran to conduct his business?

It's not legal to buy organ in Nigeria. A good healthcare system doesnt change that fact.

I can see that scenario playing out. Human empathy is not why most people obey laws. It's more about deterrents for bad behavior like Jail or a death sentence. I would assume the doctors wouldn't want their medical licenses stripped or thrown in jail like the foolish one that followed Ike Ekweremadu. I'm pretty neutral on the issue.
