The problem is James was not even Chelsea's best player that year and I doubt he was even in the UCL team of the tournament. So you can't but wonder why he keeps insisting that version of James is better than Hakimi.

The fact is James had a lot of potentials to become what Emaprice thought he was, but the reality is different.

The only thing he's relying on is his personal bias for James and nothing else. We don see Hakimi in a world cup playing for an African team that reached fourth place and Hakimi was one of their best player(If not the best after their Goalkeeper). We have also seen Hakimi do it for French underachieving team in Europe.

The truth you know but probably won't agree with is that Peak Hakimi vs Peak Reece James; Hakimi comes out heads and shoulders above James. Be it at the national level or at the club level. I've watched the video and I also skimmed through the "People of Ebonyi" Twitter page; it appears the person behind the tweet is just an aspiring influencer randomly posting about Ebonyi state.

It seemed like the person behind the Twitter account just posts videos aboug the adds whatever caption that will make him garner more followers in preparation for farming Elon Musk's money. The Twitter account operator no really send the political correctness of his post and whathever effect it will have on the governor and his wife.

There's actually no explanation that justifies the tinted permit and the Police force knows this too; that's why they have been coming up with all sorts of ridiculous defense for the illegal extortion they've set their mind to perpetuate with the tinted permit thingy.

Like you rightly said, issuing tinted permit to tinted vehicle owners won't curb crime in anyway different from the way crime is curbed with the registration details of one's vehicle. That a vehicle is tinted and has a tinted permit doesn't stop criminals from using such vehicle for crime. In fact, most criminals would get the tinted permit so they can have a free pass at police checkpoints going forward.

And as for the claim that the money realized from issuing permits is for maintaining infrastructure, Ben must think Nigerians are dumb. If the money is for infrastructure maintenance, why can't they make it a one-off thing and not what one needs to pay for every year like Vehicle license? Or better still, why can't they ask government for increase in their IT budget instead of illegally turning themselves into a revenue generating agency rather than law enforcement agency?

Something tells me they decided to tow this line following the Proof Ownership's successful conversion to an annual thing in Lagos last two years. They just feel they too shouldn't be left out in this revenue drive; that's why they first came with the ECMR and then this tinted permit. Their eyes dey chook.

NBA sued IGP and ghe Nigerian police to stop enforcement of the fraudulent tinted pare it since by law NPF is not a revenue generating agency. The NPF instead of staying action has commenced enforcement of the illegal tinted permit. Someone told me how his friend was made to pay 20k befor his car was released yesterday afternoon for not having tinted permit.

Now NBA has written to the NPF directly informing them of their intention to sue them for contempt of court if the ding put a stop to the illegal enforcement. They also threatened to drag the head of police legal department before the council for legal ethics because he's a trained lawyer who has refused to advise the IGP and NPF on the true position of the law.

Let's see how it will play out.

Green is the thematic colour of the forum so I think it's understandable that some elements of the colour will be retained even in the dark mode.

Maybe it's just me, I just feel the green theme in dark mode doesn't look great. Maybe I have an eye condition I've not tested for it yet, but the dark mode really seem hurting to my eyes unlike the other apps I've accessed on dark mode.

I've watched Reece James weekly from the moment he debuted for cheslea and I've seen enough to disagree with you that a fit Reece James is not better than Hakimi at all. Hakimi is better both offensively and defensively ; not just at the club level but even at the international level.

The only reason Hakimi doesn't get much hype for how superb his performance has been over the years is because of the farmers league he plays in.

If we are talking specifically on individual performance as a RB and contributions to overall team efforts in recent times ; there's hardly any RB that can measure up with Hakimi in European football and global football by extension. Both eye test and stats backs Hakimi over Reeece James

Actually most of them are still involved in politics so they spend money hoping something will come through. Oyinlola and Omisore were shut up by Adeleke with money in Osun power play

When you are involved in politics, you still have to drop money regularly in your constituency to remain relevant, even when you are not earning again. Even if you are just doing godfather for a candidate, you still need to drop money for people regularly

Those NIMC are their friends in politics/govt trying to rehabilitate them. Let me ask, Are pensions recalculated to reflect current economic realities? I mean someone awarded 2m per month pension in 1999 will the money be increased to match current rates

To continue getting contracts from govt, you need to have your allies that are still in power, Also these loyalties are fleeting once people dont have anything concrete to gain from you they start blanking you. Don't be shocked if some politicians are starting to ghost Ekweremadu, Dimeji Bankole and Saraki phone calls. Them don dey turn "Old takers" in the field of politics. What can you offer me to keep getting contracts when I can give that contract to people still relevant and will repay me

I would not write Oyinlola off with the rest of his stlet honestly. Oyinlola has never been known to he amongst those politicians who throw money at everyone and everything. There's no record of him being that buje-budanu that may be at risk of spending more than what he made.

There's a reason why a veteran like him doesn't really have Osun State's political structure in his pocket. I have a feeling the man has money and rarely spends it. That's why u see new takers like Adeleke aligning with dem Aregbesola instead of someone like Oyinlola

Its actually easy for the politicians and people in govt to go broke once they leave power. While in power they barely spend personal money

I had a family member who was a top civil servant, All the food they eat at home was on govt expense, You know state govt always have a budget for Xmas, Ileya etc where they buy bags of foodstuff to share to govt workers and sometimes public. That is always the food supply of top people, In Xmas season they will drop like 10 bags of rice in his house and meat, by Ileya same thing etc

To repair vehicle no concern them, that is on govt,, to buy diesel for generator same thing, First class flight tickets abroad same thing on govt

By the time they are leaving govt, they have no idea how much it cost to run their house without "subsidy". By the time they adjust to reality of life outside govt its too late

The politicians is also same or slightly worse because one failed election run can gulp everything you have. That is why if you have 10bn its better to invest 8bn into remaining in power than try to walk away with the 10bn. Almost all former governors are eyeing Senate permanent seat

Its why former governors in SW from PDP almost all of them are now in APC(ruling party) or have been there at some point.

All those Mimiko, Oyinlola, Late Akala(minus his son who is a HoR), Lam Adesina, etc might be flirting with brokeness now if they are alive without govt patronage

I think this only applies to those who wants to keep living extravagant lifestyle and be throwing money about when they are out of office.

Any ex-governor that wants to live a modest life outside of public office will still be quite rich. Most of them would have different shell companies they set up while in office which they would be using to get contracts from government either in their own state or other friendly states.

I also noticed u mis-classified Oyinlola amongst ex-governors that may be flirting with brokenness. Don't forget Oyinlola was a former military administrator of Lagos before the advent of computers under the corrupt military government of yesteryears. The man retired a brigadier general in the Nigerian army and most likely still gets his pension and other benefits that comes with that. The man still served on NIMC board under Buhari's government. If we add whatever he made as civilian governor and whatever contracts he still gets till now, I don't see how he can be flirting with brokenness o.
