particular lady will say anything for clout online and when people start dragging her she will start crying about her mental health.

Is there any rich suburb in any other state that gets flooded regularly the way Lekki does?

I doubt it; most rich neighborhoods are usually situated in levelled grounds well above sea level, unlike Lekki and most parts of Lagos Island.

I was telling a friend recently that I would rather buy a luxury property within GRA Ikeja than Lekki and its environs if I have the means due to the flooding issues

The worrisome reality about the whole thing is that it happens almost every year like that . Not like as it is happening this year now , it won’t still happen next year or anything can/will be done to avert it next year .

I intended to go to Lekki Phase I yesterday , na God say make I shelve the plan not knowing it was going to flood like that .

Yesterday’s rain really did a number on people living along that Lekki axis . I don’t envy them at all.

It's a marketing strategy to knock out fellow competitors(NNPC & Independent marketers) and gain a tacit monopoly as time goes by. He definitely is not "Mr. Nice guy".

Whether it will be in the best interest of Nigerians in the long run, only time will tell.

I know Lagos state wants to relocate the market(which I support by the way), what I don't know is what will be the fate of the owners of those properties.

Will Lagos state give the current owners of those properties financial compensation while the government takes possession of the properties?

OR

Will the state government take over the ikeja properties and allocate properties of equal worth to the property owners at the proposed new location of the market?

Personally I don't want the government to use the place for any recreational facility. They should build residential properties in the current location(Most likely a gated estate ) and let the area breath. That should take care of the traffic headache in that area.

That market really was a blessing to Ikeja LGA, but then, that's the capital of the city, and sadly, Ikeja sef no fit contain that market.

Hopefully, those with properties are compensated. If they move to anywhere, Lagos will definitely patronize them. [/color]

That place was never designed to be a market.

Most likely the owners of the buildings will convert them back to residential which they were before they partitioned them into shops and started renting it out to computer sellers first before phone sellers in the wake of GSM revolution.
