What is your opinion n a guy who has moved abroad single, has a life and comes to Nigeria to marry a girl which he also "sponsors" abroad.

I dey plan come marry one of those Nollywood baddies come Yankee cool cool cool
Na 50/50. It may end in tears or it may lead to a great love story that will be worthy of a Nollywood movie that has part 1 and 2.

I always think it is wise marrying someone who is already living in the same country as you are. If it ends well, all fine and good. And if it ends otherwise, both parties will go their way with less regret on the guy's side.

At least when counting his loss, he won't be lamenting about how he facilitated her coming abroad, how he brushed her up , made her taste the good life only for her to mess up his life. The guy wouldn't be regretting how he was played.

Can you clarify the part in bold? If the woman is your wife. If your wife wants to further her education, who should sponsor her if she doesnt have the means?

Cos from this Ugo story, he sponsored his wife not just a lady
Maybe my choice of words weren't clear, let me clarify what I mean by the bold.

From what I picked from the story(didn't really follow it fully), he facilitated her going to the UK. He has been there for sometime and married her from naija, then sponsored her education.

I don't see it as the same thing as a man and woman who were married, grew together, relocated abroad, things got better and the man supported his wife's dream of furthering her education.

Yes it appears like a husband supporting his wife by sponsoring her education but I read his own situation as a guy who was throwing money around to court a lady, propose to her, marry her, sponsor her masters and then get dealt with by that lady. It looked as if while he was throwing money around he attracted a gold digger as wife.

I believe if he didn't do the sponsoring stuff, it would have been easy to count his loss and move on Sha.

I think generally, awards for actors and actresses have more credibility and lesser room for controversy, than musical artistes.

Even in the US, you find musicians cancelling Grammys, than actors cancelling Oscars.

To give award for song dey get headache
Exactly! Comparing a music award to a movie award is apples to oranges.

Most movie awards are more credible than music awards. Nobody is going to walk off stage at AMVCA like Olamide did at the headies. The metrics are clear and people can tell a great movie easily. It's less controversial compared to music

The guy said the babe and her family still tried to get him deported after all this by lying that he abused her(DV), her claims got investigated and was found to be false, and she got deported instead. It's like the babe was on a mission to turn the guy into a heartless man.

Someone brought you from poverty, poshed you up, spent over 30m on wedding, bought you a car, sponsored your relocation abroad, and still sponsored your education too, and you repay him by trying to ruin his life. Cheating on him wasn't enough, she still wanted to get him deported.

That guy is a better man than I am oh... Because me I'll just lock up for like three years and fvck them up badly naija style after all the noise have died down and they think I've forgotten.
Exactly why I think she's lucky to have done that to a kind man. A street guy would've weighed all options, he would've figured he can't win her over there and will treat her mess up in naija when she may have thought she has gotten away with her wickedness.

Aside from the guy sponsoring her in school, I didn't really see anything the guy did wrong. Every other thing the guy did was normal stuff for a guy who loves his partner.

A guy sponsoring a lady to school will always be a very bad decision.

Like play like play, we will win this league with zero red card awarded to any arsenal player in the EPL this season.

I also don't think we've conceded any penalty in the EPL this season.

We've really come a long way with discipline in this team. Whoever is responsible for that deserves a big kudos. As much as rival fans wail about dark arts, we are actually big on discipline this season.

We might as well get a fair play award created for us for winning the league with a very impressive disciplinary record.

One thing I give credit to our players yesterday for when the West Ham ball hit the net following the infringement on Raya; none of our players sat on the floor in despair.

None of them was banging his fist on the floor nor sank to their knees to wallow in self pity. Everyone was out there protesting the foul and trying to get an audience with the ref.

This team has really grown mentally compared to our team in the past years.

I don't think that decision required a plan B.

It was a like for like substituition, there was nothing to overthink about.

He complicated the situation. If you look at it self, the attacking momentum he was worried about, Mosquera had an attacking input to that goal.

Bar that decision, he got everyother substituition right seeing that West Ham game plan was to win the game with a counter attack.
Prior to yesterday's match, Mosquera at RB is more of a pro-defensive decision. He brings defensive stability to the RB role but that is where it ends, he can't cross or make runs like White and Timber do. It is very glaring he is a CB giving limited options in the attcking phase of game.

That being said, I think Arteta should've be content with having Mosquera replace White and live with the reality that our atack down the right hand side won't be as effective as he would've wished. That's where the talk of plan B comes into question, he should've devise a means of attacking through the left and middle more. Maybe take out Eze early in the second half so Odegaard can come on to do those probing of the middle which Eze wasn't doing at all. And it's no surprise it was Odegaard that eventually created the goal eventually .

Yesterday's game was a huge one for us all. The players, the managers and we the fans had our emotions toyed with in different phases of the game.

There was a time we were confident, we were optimistic, we were frustrated, we were angry, we were hopeful, we were sad, we were happy, we were ectstatic, we felt defeated, we felt lethargic, we felt unserious, we felt reinvigorated, we were hopeful and we were finally victorious.

The match had everything. I am glad we won't be playing any more competitive match other than the match against Burnley and Palace to clinch the league.

I hope the hard-fought win yesterdsay will put each and everyone in the mental state to play each of the two games as a final and the trophy will be handed to us at Crystal Palace on the last day of the season. We deserve it. Results must cancel insults !

Eze is slow and Non challant.

He is not making enough impact and clearly isn't aware of the urgency of our games.

Na why I dey rate Rice highly, even when he is having a bad game (which is few this season).

By the way, WTF was Arteta thinking to play Rice in RB yesterday? I am just glad he quickly corrected his mistake.
I really don't understand Arteta's decision yesterday with Rice being played at right back.

I feel he was confused seeing White taken off which upset his plans before half time. As much as I don't appreciate the overly criticism of Arteta by some section of our fans for the past 2 seasons, I acknowledge that the criticism for that decision he made that yesterday is well justified.

The decision showed he only had Plan A in the match and no plan B at all. Seeing white going out injured, he wanted us to to sustain our attacking momentum by bringing on Zubi so Lewis-Skelly can continue in Midfield and Calafiori still probing the West Ham defence to add to our attacing threat. But he was fooolish not to see that Rice being withdrawn from Midfield gives the Hammers more room to operate.

Like every other fan, I am glad he corrected that error at the start of second half.

That being said, I think he deserves credit for bringing on Odegaard and Havertz who had instant impact in the match which led to the goal eventuallyy. Bringing on Havertz and allowing Gyokeres to remain on the pitch with his height and physique causing chaos in the Hammers backline is a masterstroke. I was impressed with Havertz contesting every aerial ball till the last blow of the whistle, he didn't give that Lazy vibes at all.

When season end, we go table Eze matter.....

Concluding that the guy was killed because of Aza issues may be hasty.
It could be Aza issues and it may be something else like cult related killings. One thing that is certain is Nigeria as a country is one place you shouldn't offend people any how because there are so many unforgiving people in this country and they can always take out vexation on you without the law catching up with them.

There was a case of one Ugo guy that trended all through the weekend on Twitter. The guy spent 10m proposing to his naija babe, spent millions on their wedding, sponsored her relocation to the UK with millions of naira and paid her tuition in a UK varsity. The lady ended up cheating in him with another bloke in Manchester and the guy was crashing out on Twitter.

I told someone yesterday that an unforgiven person in that guy's shows count even make that much crashing out noise online. He would give her the silent treatment, allow her think he's a fool for getting "run-street"....then he would continue to monitor her.

He would wait for when she goes to naija where the law doesn't work and treat her mess up. He can have all her family members either kidnapped or murdered or worse. She may even be subjected to worse. It's a good thing the guy in questuon is free minded and chose to express his feelings online. People wey genuinely wicked dey this country well well o

If na back in the days before VAR, na so dem go rob us then useless rival fans go come talk say we bottle the league.

Watching another angle now, it appears there were two different west ham players that fouled Raya. One dragged his shirt and the other Ediot held his hand to prevent him from either catching or punching the ball out.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 5:41pm On May 10
Our major problem in this game is that when we have the ball, we spend so much time with the ball in our own half. We don't push the ball with urgency into the opponent's half; our defenders and non-creativr Midfielders spend more time with the ball......

If we want to win, that must change!
