Roland17:I don't know where the bold is coming from, but u need to go back to my initial post u quoted. Junior questioned why Arteta was starting Partey as RB in this particular match like he does in "all matches ". He also suggested Zinchencko be tried in LB and I explained to him that Arteta likely starts Partey at RB because he played the position at his previous club and played it well. I also mentioned to him how none of us has really seen Zinchencko in an Arteta team's midfield and that Arteta may have ruled MF role out for Zinny because of how Zinny switches off defensively often. Now tell me how any of my post suggests that I'm calling u or any other person Arteta -hater? Show me where I suggest that any push back from u is from the point of hate 🤷♂️. |
Partey out for Timber. So they both play 45 minutes each 🤷♂️ |
Roland17:Lolz. This talk about justification Sha. Why do u feel anybody who sees reason with some of Arteta's decisions are justifying his actions? I mean if Arteta just suddenly decides to play a Jorginho who has never played at RB in that position we will all raise eyebrows, but a Partey who has done shift in RB at his previous club is definitely what one can still see reason with. This same season the ale Partey played RB vs Loserpool and he played the position quite well. But here u are making it seem like all the matches he's played at RB under Arteta were the worst matches of his career. Talking about goals we conceded when he played RB, Are all the goals from Partey's sloppiness in RB position? Are all the goals due to Partey being the poorest player on the pitch? |
Spy360:I don't even know why this is so hard to figure out. Any fan who sees that line up and knows of our upcoming city game should not be bashing Arteta for that lineup at all. |
2-1 |
Roland17:Well, at this point it appears u want to dwell in Semantics even when u know what point I was trying to make in my initial post. So before I proceed let me withdraw the word regularly and replace it with "multiple times". So I will repeat my point again : Arteta is playing Partey at RB at Arsenal because Partey played RB at Athletico multiple times and played it well. Now do the same stats of number of matches Partey played for Arsenal as DM/CM and jusxtapose it with the number of matches played as RB; I'm sure u will see that Arteta has not committed any crime for now. |
iamoyindamola:I'm not justifying anything ; I'm stating a fact that he played RB at Athletico Madrid. |
Roland17:I don't know the motive behind your question, but I hope u know I was only pointing out the fact that Arteta didn't just wake one morning and started playing Partey RB. He plays him there because the guy has played the position at his previous club and he played it well. That being said, the number of times he played RB at Athletico will definitely be on Transfer Market website. |
johnjunior39:What makes u think Arteta has not seen Zinchencko plating in midfield before? Do u honestly think the Zinchencko who always goes to sleep defensively in his LB position will not be a walkover in Arteta's midfield that requires intensive work? We've trashed that Partey in RB matter over and over again. Partey has been playing RB regularly at Athletico Madrid long before we signed him at Arsenal ; Arteta is not jut playing him there for trial and error purposes. He's playing him there because he is good at it. Nobody knows if Zinchencko will be a good fit for our midfield except Arteta who trains them. PS: I'm not saying Arteta should keep playing Partey in RB, but I'm only telling u that using Partey's RB role to call for Zinchencko's MF trial may not be ideal like u think. |

KingTom:😂😂 When I was saying it the other day that sports netting is a tale of woes and gnashing of teeth, that guy dey talk say I dey closed minded. The guy no know wetin I Don see in this betting of a thing. If u no Sabi cuss, na betting go teach u how to dey cuss for millionaires and billionaire sports men ![]() At times u go just dey ur room alone dey soliloquize like " Ah! Shey bastard man city no fit score 2 goals?..... Ah Guardiola! Sheikh will sack u in Jesus name "! 😂😂😂 It is only online most people claim they are not addicted, but offline a lot of people are battling addiction seriously and cussing bookies, players and coaches daily out of frustration and addiction. |
airmark:I already apportioned the blame to both players in relation to the sequence of play. If Palmer had taken his chances when he was through on goal and the defender was still trying to catch up with him, there wouldn't have been need for Chelsea to rely on a gutless striker like Jackson. However, since Palmer didn't take his chance then Jackson should get his blame for failing to hit the ball with his weaker foot while being faced with an empty net. The moment he hesitated and wanted to get the ball on his stronger foot, he has fumbled and reduced his chance of scoring to the barest minimum. |
Spy360:I no dey borrow anybody money o; the highest I will do is give u what I can afford at that point in time. Since I adopted that personal principle I've never regretted it. |
GloriousGbola:The trigger is everywhere baba. Even normal mobile banking/fintech app go dey send u newslatter of how to link ur bet account with their app ![]() Even while trying to download movies on ur computer, u will see Ads taking u to bet site unprovoked |
Theflint1:Yes people were getting ruined through gambling prior to the advent of big bet infleuncers , but these guys seem to be catalysts for more people's ruins. They are more like triggers for more and more people. In fact, I know people who never had anything to do with gambling all through their stay in a Nigerian university ; I mean people who would normally see us in bet shops back then and look at us with contempt. Some of them today are big time gamblers who began gambling simply because they saw winning tickets flying all over twitter. Curiosity led some of them start exploring the possibility of making extra income from gambling and they got sucked in. |
popizaino:This thing is very easy. Palmer should've scored by himself when he was put through on goal because he had that much time and space to do just that; so the first blame should go to him. Since Palmer's poor judgment led him to pass the ball to Jackson, as a striker Jackson should've attempted to hit the ball with his left foot being a striker, so the second blame goes to him. Simple! |
larride: ![]() On a serious note, betting addiction was still something that could be managed/controlled until those bet influencers happened. Those guys have done more harm than good to the streets; they've led a whole lot of youths astray. Even though they usually leave a caveat for their followers to bet responsibly, we all know Nigerians never keep to such caveat. Some of those influencers may drop at least 5 codes daily and still repost games of their co-influencers . The flashy cars they ride and their expensive lifestyle can easily disorient a young person to think that soft life is attainable once u are smart in playing their games; until they find out it is not what it seems to be, but then it will be too late |
KingTom: ![]() He dey write thesis on Alabi money . He should go and ask thousands of people who have embarked on rollover bets and find out the outcome of their numerous experiments. Na why I dey laugh that guy that day that was talking about skill, luck, blah blah blah.... It's only someone that has not seen people embark on that journey of no return that can be patronized with all those kind analysis ![]() |
GloriousGbola:The bold is the most important part of everything. Even the person that lost his life savings to gambling would've a particular time in his life when he once claimed he has control over his gambling habits. He will have a time in his life when he once claims to be very financial disciplined and that he only bets what he can lose. People forget we humans are highly emotive beings and we change with circumstances. |
GloriousGbola:Even though the money is kickback, N3m is a lot of money in this Tinubu economy o. If u add small money, u go buy Nigerian used 03/04 Corolla na. I don't even understand why anybody will use someone else's money to gamble on events u don't have control over. Personally I feel people like that should be taught serious lessons such that the spirit of gambling will leave them permanently |
KingTom:From the Onset I told him to let me handle it, let's put call and arrange 3 to 4 soldiers from barrack let them run enter him. E go pass person wey die yahoo money for aza. His family members who don't know of his gambling addiction sef will crowdfund for him if hand meet him. But my friend is a preacher of love and a gentleman to the core. He said the guy even claims som church funds in his hand was also lost along with his own money, so he didn't want to cast him lest church start demanding for their funds from the guy too. My friend was willing to play the waiting game and like u rightly said he was lucky. I was surprised the guy managed to raise that N1.5m sef as at December when I asked him for update. There's a reason why I laugh anytime I see people glamorize gambling over here . I have a gut feeling that most people who do have not seen what gambling addiction has done to people before. |
GloriousGbola:No lies! A friend of mine fell victim. He helped a vendor to his company process a PO that resulted in that vendor making a supply worth hundreds of millions in naira. So the vendor asked for his account details so he show his appreciation. Because my friend is someone who isn't sued to all this gratification system and was scared this might contravene company's policy, he was skeptical to send his personal account details. So, he sent the account details of a friend of his who happens to be a church member. He told this church member he will receive something in his account from the vendor; once he does, he should let him know. The vendor later informed my guy that he has deposited something in the account my guy provided and sent him evidence of payment. When my guy saw the EOP, na N3m the man send am as "Thank You" gift. Na so my guy called his church member to confirm receipt of funds, and the church guy promised to confirm receipt and revert. The church member didn't confirm until next day when he called my friend with an unknown number and claimed his phone has been stolen. It was that moment my friend now told me about the whole situation. Right there I told my guy that the weyrey church member don use ur money play sports betting and most likely lost it but is cooking up story for u. My friend didn't believe me and said the guy is one of their church workers, so he doesn't think he plays sports betting . Long and short, after some time the church guy now repackaged the story. He said his phone was stolen quite all right; then he decided to use my friend's N3m and some cash he had in his account to "explore a quick money doubling business opportunity" which ended up blowing up in his face. So, he sha lost the N3m and that he should give him time to repay. It was that time my friend now agreed that indeed the guy played Sports betting with the money and was too ashamed to admit it as I earlier suggested. This happened in October 2024, as at December 2024 when I asked my friend for update on the matter, he said the guy has repaid N1.5m out of the N3m . Whether the guy has paid down now, I don't know sha. |
https://x.com/bananashq/status/1884173366623629400?s=46 About 3 days ago a lady on Twitter posted that her cousin ( a female) had gone missing for 3 days In Benin and she was nowhere to be found. She has now posted an update that the cousin has been found. The cousin attempted to unalive herself by jumping into a river but was rescued by young boys who went to the river to swim. The reason the cousin attempted to drown herself was because she lost N1 million to playing virtual sports betting. A female for that matter 😲 ; I would've thought the story was made up if I didn't see her initial post when she raised the alarm for a missing person. |
iamoyindamola:Na why u dey see say some of the Yahoo boys they arrest and post their mugshot dey always smile in the mugshot. Those ones know say na game dem dey play; they know it is the EFCC officials that usually enjoy everything they seized from them las las.
|
izzou:From the moment EFCC announced the auction I had my doubts; In fact I just hoped they would prove me wrong this once and obviously they failed woefully. I was thinking maybe this their new Oga that was breathing fire from day one will bring with him a breath of fresh air to the commission and its processes but las las na just case of old wine in new bottle. Nothing has changed, most of the forfeited properties have always been sold to few influential members of the society who know their way and some of their top hierarchy. Even though they tried to form transparency on this one, the end product of the bid process has shown this bid process to be worse than the previous ones they hid from the public. Na premium rug pulling |
iamoyindamola:The auctioneer/EFCC must give rules guiding the auction/bid process and the person must have contravened that process before u can call such person greedy. So far EFCC did not limit the number of cars an individual can bid for, I honestly don't think the man committed any crime whatsoever. |
iamoyindamola:When seized items are auctioned anywhere in the world, they are usually sold for value less than the true and actual marekt value of the item. There is nothing absurd in buying a venza that has been parked for months(if not years) in EFCC custody for N2.6m. The government selling the items got them at 0 net book value and will take profit out of that N2.6m selling price. It is just the same thing with buying cars ur company wants to dispose after they must have depreceiated it in their books 4 or 5 years after purchase as brand new. Late last year a colleague was telling me about how one of our co-colleagues was lucky to have won a raffle to buy one of our company vehicles for scrap value of N150k like 3 years ago. The company wanted to dispose some vehicles used by expatriates and they did a raffle in which they picked the staff ID of few lucky staff members. Once ur number gets picked, u will be asked to pay a sum as paltry as N150k to buy a car that is worth as much as N6m direct tokunbo. This is how some people have up to 3-4 cars and some of their relatives think they are rich or they are collecting "armed robber salary " ![]() |
iamoyindamola:I don't think he committed any crime bidding for 4 cars. There's no cap on the number of cars u can bid for, so u can't fault him for trying to bid for as many cars as he can afford to pay for. A bid process is all about the best bidder winning, not the most conservative of liberal person winning. Until EFCC puts a cap on the number of bids an individual can make, the guy has not done anything wrong morally or legally. People should focus more on EFCC defrauding all legitimate bid winners and rigging them out of the system after they had concluded the process. The house of assembly should probe the whole process and find out who were eventual persons who bought the vehicles. My mind tells me the EFCC officials are the ones who bought the vehicles themselves because even the official who was killed in Anambra two weeks ago had benz key hung on his trousers from one of his official pictures. How does a civil servant afford benz on Nigeria? |

Alaye voted for Trump even though Trump made a campaign promise to carry out the greatest number of deportation in history ; Now ICE has snatched his wife and deported her back to Venezuela while she's still in the process of getting her papers done.

iamoyindamola:Nigerians are talented sha. I don't even know how they come up with this kind of comedy ![]() |
hensben:This same Nkunku you claimed was perfect fit for Chelsea less than 3 years ago? You even claimed he plays similar pattern with Mane? Ah! Mr. Peter "the denier" Hensben. hensben:
