Sitmr: For those who are open to trying their luck at betting, make sure you have enough money to last you three months. You are going to lose a lot of games. Every game you lose, go back to review the ticket and try to identify why you lost it.
Follow successful punters and learn from them. While luck plays a major role, it's not all luck. It's a skill and that skill can be learnt if you have the time.
I reviewed the game banks won last night and he easily could have lost. That's where luck comes in.
I also lost 11,000 odds today to two cuts. I made a mistake with one of the games which I have learnt from. The other, I was just unlucky.
To put into perspective, 100 naira would have given me 3.6m naira.
I wish for better luck next time. It's the hope that comes with the wishes that kill This is one of the "hopefuls" religiously following the punters ; I guess losing streak chook the guy for throat he vex drop cuss for the punter. The punter (jayfund) had to post on Twitter the cuss the guy dropped for him on sportybet Comment section. 😂😂😂 Betting is majorly a tale of woes and gnashing of teeth in the long run. The key point is "long run". For some people, the long run happens so fast for them, for some people it takes a while and some people ; they didn't even know when they've gotten to that point until they are wrecked.

Cc. Blueraydick wetin they happen I don talk say I no go warn anybody here not to ruin themselves with sports betting again . Anybody wey get coconut head , make he follow the way to perdition by constantly following those online bookies wey Dey use them collect gigs from naija bookies . Louie get 1 million followers , Ekiti get over 900k followers , sporting king get 1.2 million followers , Bossolamilekan get 1.1 million followers , Banks get 1.5million followers , etc . Wise bookies just need to contact these guys , give them gigs to include some games which they (the bookies ) have privileged information about its outcome in their tickets , and they will drop codes for u. If just 1/4 of each of their followers just stake those games and lose ; the bookies are already in a good place for that week. Whatever happens after that leading to those guys dropping winning codes , the bookie would not be shaken at all. The bookies recognize those guys as very good punters who can predict games accurately on their good day , and that is why the bookies will wave cash in their face to help them to help them . There’s a reason why those guys now win occasionally , unlike when they had very little followers and were coming up . One thing is always constant in life ; Mugu must fall and guyman must chop am ! |

I remember we were all hyping Enyimba in the early 2000’s when they were doing so well, until dem go jam Inter Milan and dem knack them 7-0 . 😂
Those oyinbo have taken football beyond kick and follow . You see players like young Yamal, young Messi , young Xavi , etc ; they are players who have their brains and body conditioned to play football as an art . For an African who grew in Africa and intends to go compete with these guys , it’s an almost impossible task |

seankafor: it's status quo like this that makes me detest most societal norms.. and it what's pushes me to be self independent.. and it's what's pushes me to this little web3 stuff I'm doing now..
I detest with all my heart rubbish and nonsensical non value added societal norms that some individuals play God with..
CV, certificate, this and that, without this ,you won't do that? You must reach this before you do that..etc etc..
Especially in Nigeria where idiots thinks because they have some paper awarded nonsense, they now thinks they re higher or more human than others.. They leave practical and result aspects of ones output and focus more on rubbish..
I so much hate protocols like madt 😡 Lolz 😂 No be fight na. Everybody cannot use crypto/web3 to chop; live and let live . There will always be people who will follow the book way i.e go to school , graduate , get a job and move up the ladder in life . And there will always be people who will go the unconventional way of stumbling into wealth/good fortune by just doing “non-book” stuff. You don’t need to hate the former to love the latter . There are risks on the two path . You can go to school , get degrees and fail to make anything out of it. Then u can also follow the other path of going into business, going into crypto without education etc and also fail while having nothing to fall back on. There are no guarantees anywhere ; just do whichever u believe will work for u and hope u won’t have to regret not following the other path . |

semid4lyfe: One of the biggest lies ever sold is that Nigerian graduates inability to land jobs is due to their poorly written CVs.
Someone once posted a CV rewritten and optimized by Ogbeni Dipo's BTDTHub on Twitter.
I saw the CV and was like, is this it?
I hate the whole Your CV is the problem narrative propagated by Dipo and his ilk because It shifted the blame onto job seekers instead of addressing systemic issues.
Even with the best written CVs, if there are no jobs or the hiring process is based on connections rather than merit, getting employed will remain a struggle. The bitter truth is that Dipo and his ilks just used the CV rewrite thingy to exploit fellow Nigerians who are already dealing with the unemployment crisis in the Nigerian labor market . It’s not just Dipo by the way and it didn’t start with Dipo sef, there was Jobberman long before Dipo started his own CV rewriting gig. They organize seminars and start having long talks about employability , blah blah and blah…. I just see them as people who saw opportunity to make their own cheese out of the unemployment problem Nigerian youth found themselves . They create this anxiety in you that the CV u have drafted by urself can never get u a job . So when u are two or three months in the labor market as a fresh graduate and u don’t see any job invite despite applying to all job adverts online , I start doubting urself . U start thinking maybe ur CV is what is holding bank and u start thinking of taking out of ur remaining NYSC savings to gift them to rewrite ur CV and maybe have them teach u one or two employability moves . Instead of they telling u the truth that u are not getting invites simply because there are thousands of people like u equally qualified for the job , they would rather exploit ur fears . Myself for example, from the first CV I used in getting my first job after NYSC to the present one I’m using , they were all drafted by me . I have like 3 different friends just like me who drafted their own CV’s by themselves as well . The highest we do amongst ourselves is to send to each other to review and that’s all. Most HR’s who need employees don’t go about denying people jobs because their CV does not conform to the one they have in their mind. Once HR sees the level of skills u have in ur CV and ur personal statement aligns with what they require do the role , they will definitely call u for an interview to at least hear from u. |

Every Nigerian footballer na Stanley Okoro and Fortune Chukwudi as far as fans dey concerned.
And everybody na Adokie Amiesiamaka for Nigerian footballers age matter.
Again, MRI is an exact and precise science,
The definitive research was done in 2007 and published in a top-ranked peer reviewed journal, The British Journal of Sports Medicine.
It took years of trialling at different levels before FIFA accepted, adopted and debuted it in 2012 as the determinant for U-17 players age in their competitions.
Unless it's the parents or close relatives of the players debunking their ages, I'll take their MRI determined ages as their real ages over dem say age speculators anytime anyday.
But its okay, make we just agree to disagree on this issue. 👍 |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 3:31pm On Jan 24, 2025 |
raumdeuter: I disagree. Na these ones even narrow pass especially basketball. The league where you make money well is the NBA. There are about 400 pro players in the NBA. So the millions of boys all over the world are trying to get into the 400 spots in NBA and competing with Jokic from Serbia, Wemby from France, Giannis from Greece, Doncic from Slovenia, Siakam from Cameroun etc
Sure there are other leagues in Europe and elsewhere but none makes as much money as NBA. Total number of pro basketballers all over the world might be less than 10000 and this will include those playing for Ebun Comets of Akure and Rivers Angels
In football, there are many leagues, almost every country has a thriving pro league even though Europe is where the money is. In Europe sef you still have multiple countries and leagues where you can get a good salary A very sound analysis. The path to making it in most sports are just so narrow compared to making it in business , trade and other professions. |

daveP: I don't care if the 2 in the team are currently good or bad or out of form. What i care about is that potentially, oga focused on 6 Brazilians out of every 10 prospects to scout and recommend. 6/10.
6!!
Don't shift the focus to the "oh Brazilians do well than Africans" pov pls. This is not just Africans issue. Other nationals are there too. There are many talents that are better than many in that Brazilian national team currently, not to talk of others.
I'm not here to denounce their talents. Im here to say 6/10 being from one country is highly sentimental and senseless.
Swap nationals and see how outrageous that will be. If he even did 6/10 for Africans, I'll personally criticize that kind of move too. Cos it doesn't make sense. But for now, since he's attached directly, that was a sentimental move for a club that needs several national that deserve a look in.
Emotion is exactly what Edu did. Simple!! So why aren't we looking at Germans since they have World cup glory too? You can't justify this act. This current Brazil team that many are saying standard is low?
It will be totally unfair to try act like we don't even have Africans doing exceptionally well and even better in their roles and are good for any top team in England or Spain right now. Not to talk of other South Americans.
Awkward timing one side. Talented enough to be looked at another side.
Edu overreached. U are asking the wrong questions and getting unnecessarily emotional because u are an African. How can u say u don't care 2 Brazilians are doing excellently well in the team , then u are saying Edu focusing on recruiting more players from the country is senseless. You are doing exactly what u are accusing Edu of doing. Edu's decisions are justifiable as per the success rate they've had with players coming from the country fitting into our team. History has also favored players of Brazilian descent. Talking about this being unfair to Africans, football is business . Nobody owes Africans anything; when Sir Alex Ferguson chose to avoid the AFCON brouhaha by not signing Africans into his team, wasn't he winning trophies back to back? I don't fault Edu at all and I will do the same thing if I was in his shoes. |

semid4lyfe: This is your Nigerian bias coming through.
I doubt you would have posted this if the players were not Nigerians.
If I recall the events of 2013 and 2015 Nigeria U-17 campaign cycle correctly, the bulk of the players that played the qualifiers and the African championship got dropped prior to the world cup because they failed the MRI test.
Wilfred Ndidi of Leicester City was one of such casualties in 2013. The fusion of the distal radius in his wrist was adjudged to be beyond the acceptable U-17 MRI threshold.
New teams were hurriedly put together and the players who made the final cut for the U-17 competition of those years all passed the MRI test conducted by FIFA so make we accept am say dem be real U-17 then.
Every other thing na speculation. Just dey play. I clearly stated up there that they are not far from the age 17 , but they are definitely not 17 and below. I see some of the names u included and I just laughed. I hope u know that there are people who know some of these guys from childhood sha? |

if you have a bad experience with the food, you first take it up with the proprietor in private. an active proprietor is interested in growing their business and will take all feedback Whether she's doing for engagement farming or not, once the lady can prove that the food quality is poor and the food gave her issues; she has a strong case. All those other ones na emotion and using ur church mind o. Do u even know that u can sue the owners of a build like hotel if u get injured within their premises? daveP: Did you just spit down on African talents to justify Brazilians? Like seriously
Abeg forget that Afcon excuse. It's not enough reason to ever justify what Edu did. Never. The Brazilians he focused on las las, how many don arrive do anything unique like the Chilean, Sanchez? Many Africans are balling. Many European and Asians dey too. South Americans talented than Brazilians dey too. That was too low for such a position to do. Tomorrow, if we get one that suddenly prioritize Africans, it will still be wrong.
I can't believe you wrote a whole paragraph to justify this. I gave u two examples of 2 Brazilians currently in our team who are actually doing well. I didn't just write without facts; I gave u reasons why Edu's decision is not bad and gave u example of such players he has brought-in who have gone on to be successful and importatnt players to our team. Aside that we see Brazilian players generally doing well playing for European clubs which is the reason why u see them winning more world cups than other countries and also doing well in Ballon D'or/WPOTY history. Now answer the question: How many Africans have achieved that much? Do u even know bad it is that a single nation like Brazil is doing better than the whole African continent with over 50 countries? What u call spitting down on African talent is me saying the truth the way it is. Football is more of serious business than emotions. Emotions will not get u anywhere; In the past when we had African players they were always leaving at the crucial stage of the league to represent their team in AFCON due to the awkward timing of the competition. |
