A keke driver( Igbo from Ebony I) in my area in Benin, Upper sokponba to be precise came to my compound to buy food from a food seller ( Igbo from Anambra) who rented one of the store from the compound

After eating, he asked of his ebonyi brother that who also rented an apartment there( also a keke driver). The woman told him the guy have not return from his ebonyi village trip since he traveled that he went to do farm work since his father and mother are dead and he is the senior son.

So the other keke guy who came to eat just started by saying " why will a guy like just go to the village to stay that Igbo's don't stay in village" ( I have no business with that )

But what topped it was when he started saying " as he is in ebonyi, he has a land in his village and that his father also have hause but that is for his father not him that if he wanted to make farm he would have use his own land since he cannot sell it"

"SINCE HE CANNOT SELL IT" ( caught my attention )

So I ask him why

He said that they dont sell lands

Then I ask " to stranger or" ?

He said "YES"

He said if an indigene want a land, the community will give a potion to him and not to strangers and that the only people that build house in his community are the indigene that stranger are not allowed to own a land not talk of building on it.

So I ask " what if you try to sell yours what will happen ?

He said " the community will find you guilty and will be dealt with" ( all this he said with total confidence )

So I became angry partially I must say then I told him "but Igbo's are allowed to owned land as they want in benin as long as they fulfill the necessary things?

Then he said " that is Benin but not in his place that all big and small house in his place can only be own by indigene

You can sell lands, but not family land. In fact, if you want to buy land, to come to my village, land boku. Deeper Life was given free land to build a university in my community, they are yet to start developing it. I'm from Ebonyi.

I might be wrong, but that is the information I got. However, we should learn to differentiate the both. An ethnic group
and an organization.

It is common to see Nigerians juxtaposing IPOB and Igbo and trying to make them one and same, which is wrong. Freely labeling Igbos as IPOBians is an error that has to be corrected.
This is so real that even the President had to make that mistake of referring to South Easterners as IPOB and a dot in the circle.
Please, note that IPOB is an organization, registered in the UK, with members from different parts of Nigeria, paying monthly dues as members..
IPOB has members from Igbo, Ijaw, Ibibio, Efik, etc. You may say, oke, the leading members or founding members are Igbos, which is correct, but that never made it an Igbo organization.
I'm Igbo, and have never been a member of IPOB nor subscribe to her ideology. I can tell you that there are millions of Igbos who don't subscribe to IPOB modus operandi nor objective for one day.
Another important point you all should note, is the reality that Nnamdi Kanu is the leader of IPOB and not the leader of Igbos. As a Nigerian, and nairalander, learn to separate the both. Stop attacking Igbos under the guise of attacking IPOB.
Above all, the military should stop killing Igbo youth, in the name of exterminating IPOB members. Every Igbo is a Nigerian, and is protected under the Nigerian law, and thus have the right to fair hearing. If found guilty of belonging to any proscribe group, then the law can take it's full force. Stop killing our people, the killing and victimization is getting out of hand.

Anioma and Orashi can be one, judging from the contingency. Ndoni and Ukwuani, and Ugwuta are one people.
Even Ogba has a long history with Abo. I may not be right anyway, but Anioma state is long overdue. They started asking for it, even right before the war.

Anioma state, and it should include the Orashi region, since they are some how close to each other.
This will definitely balance the equation

Patriotic Igbos, like Tony Nnadi, are on ground working and building bridges, especially in the south and west of Nigeria, without recourse to online banter, insult and unnecessary argument that add nothing but more confusion and bitterness.
Those guys are knowledgeable, diplomatic and understandable. IPOB are only after creating chaos and confusion, while these groups
are working diligently to see a constitutional change that will liberate the Lower Niger from the grip of the caliphate.
IPOB don't represent Igbos, although they are the loudest, and most noisy.
Deal with IPOB as an organization and leave Igbos alone.
