Exposing false teachings is a profitable activity.

If you read the verses 10-12, you would see that the verses were describing false teachers and prophets like Adeboye who pervert the gospel for pecuniary gains.

Please stop reading the Bible upside down. I am against pastors exploiting their congregation. We should not allow someone's opinion make us to deviated from what is clearly stated in the scriptures. Giving is deeply entrenched in God's word.
Proverbs 11:24-25 (MSG) says "The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller. The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped."
Even our Lord Jesus Christ said it in Luke 6:38 "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." [b][/b]

Whenever Jesus mentioned giving, it was not hard to know that His concerns were for the poor or the least of our brethren. He didn't emphasize giving to the wealthy. He didn't emphasize giving for the construction of mighty church buildings or for the fueling and maintaining of private jets. He didn't emphasize giving for the sake of the Pharisees and the teachers of the Law. His concern was ever always for the poor.

The same can be said of God instituting the tithes as a food program for the poor and those who had no inheritances or other jobs besides serving in the temple. The tithes were never to enrich the temple workers or to beautify the temple walls. They were basically food as a basic necessity for those who couldn't ordinarily get it because of financial constraints or total devotion to the work of God.

Why should we Kick out foreign religions? You seem not to be getting the point. The point is this: TEACH A CHILD IN A LANGUAGE THAT HE UNDERSTANDS. There are millions of Nigeria children who just feel education is a pain because they are being taught very useless things in English. Things that they would really grasp fast if it were taught in Yoruba or Igbo or Hausa. Download the Book "Decolonizing The Mind" By Ngugi Wa Thiongo and Moving The Center By The Same Author.

All over British Africa, there are two evil legacies of Colonial education :

1. The worship of boarding schools
2. The use of English as a medium of Instruction.

Tanzania uses Swahili from Grade 1 - 7. They were however afraid to use it beyond that because Kenya didn't follow suit. They felt that they would be alone. If Kenya - which has a national language - Swahili were to use it for Education, Tanzania will follow suit.

These evil legacies of colonial administration is evident in the US. So, why have the evil legacies not handicapped the US?

Canada is also one country where foreign languages (French and English) are the official language. Why have these foreign languages not handicapped Canada?

Yes. Its called schools in the catchment area. Those who don't want, can go to private schools which will teach in English. A few schools schools should pursue Bilingualism. What is going now in Kenya and Nigeria (I'm Kenyan) is one of the reasons for underdevelopment.

Then, there are a lot we have to let go. We have to let go of our foreign religions as well. In short, we need to revert to traditions. I do not believe that English alone underdeveloped us. What about our attitudes too? What about pervasive corruption and personal greed? When we talk about African underdevelopment, foreign language is just only one factor. China began to progress, not ordinarily because they speak Chinese but because they got their acts right. They voted zero tolerance for corruption and invested heavily in technology. You shouldn't also forget that they kept their indigenous religions as well. Have you kept the religion of your forefathers?

Excuses excuse Excuses. Finalnd has got only 5.4% of its population as Swedes and yet Swedish is used as a medium of instruction up to University level. Why can't you start by adding another language to english? Start with elementary school, then secondary school then state universities and technique.

Finnish and Swedish are the official languages.

Also, you must understand that Nigeria is different from Finland. Nigeria is a multi ethnic state. Which of the indigenous languages would you pick?

If you pick Hausa language, the rest would shout Sharia or islamization.

If you pick Yoruba language, Igbos and Hausas would kick.

If you pick Igbo language, Hausas and Yorubas would be uncomfortable.

It just can't work in Nigeria without it generating into tribal conflicts. Nigeria's political and ethnic setup is far different from that of Finland.

Official language unifies us. How would you teach Biology to a class in a school in Abuja or Lagos? You will use Yoruba? Or would you make three diagrams and label one in Yoruba, one in Igbo and the last in Hausa?

When we say official language, we are talking about the necessity of a unifying language in a formal setting. Nigeria is a multi ethnic state. She needs an official language, at least, for formal interactions.

Korean language is not just a local language, it is the official and national language of North and South Korea. But here, our official language is English. How will you label a diagram in Yoruba when some of your students are Igbos or Hausas? English is the unifying language in Nigeria.

Nigeria is a multi ethnic state with many differing local languages. How do you expect it to work here? What local language would you use to label the diagram when your students are from different ethnic groups? If you use Igbo, the Yorubas and Hausas in the class will complain; if you use Yoruba, the Igbos and Hausas would complain. That is why we have a unifying language (English) used in the classroom.

This is wrong. I don't have to be a lawyer to know that she is being held illegally. What is her crime? Did she commit a criminal offence? She has the right to know why she is being held. Don't we have laws in this country? How can you hold somebody in prison without any obvious criminal charge against her?

I dread all these steel company jobs. I used to have a neighbor when I was in the university. The young guy was making a lot of money in a steel company. One morning, I just woke up and heard that he had died in a pot of molten iron. The guy practically cooked to death like meat. Damn, I had nightmares for weeks.
