damoobaba: Start your own church, make enough money, build primary schools, secondary schools, universities for the poor, and RUN them for FREE. ITS VERY EASY. Wish you best of luck. The poor will appreciate it,especially Northerners. If I start my own church, I would do so with love and sincerity. If churches can just be a little bit modest and cut on extravagant spendings, they would be able to do more than they are doing for the world presently. A pastor is called to a life of modesty, not a life of luxury. Even Jesus had to abandon luxury to serve on earth. Your pastors don't need private jets, they don't need mansions, they don't need to feed fat like Kings or princes of this world. As a matter of fact, a pastor ought to be ashamed that he owns a school that is far beyond the reach of the common man. He ought to be ashamed to call himself a man of God and drive in luxury cars and private jets. If these pastors start living modestly, the church would have more than enough to do more than it is currently doing. |

See the way fellow customers just lock up dey look the poor girl. It is worse overseas. And for good reasons too. If you are not sure you can help, it is best to just look away or show that you care with some facial expressions. You don't know the origin of the problem or where it would lead to. So, it is best to mind your own business before implications come at you from every angle. |

Sunofgod: The pastor wants divorce as well as the wife so I don't understand why the judge is asking for more evidence?
Nigerian courts Sha... Sometimes, a marriage can be salvaged even if the husband and wife are filling for divorce. The evidence would help the judge see the extent of damage. Sometimes, a marriage might seem totally loveless when in fact, love is still there. The judges break it up only if they have enough reason to do so. They don't just break up a marriage from the first day both parties call for divorce. |

safarigirl: Dp you know what a bandwagon is? A bandwagon occurs when a group of people decide to fan a housemate because they think the person can win.
Voting results largely determine who becomes a bandwagon amongst other things
If I can buy votes with money and my sponsored candidate tops polls, people will gravitate towards that person, a lot of those people will not be able to defend why they really like that person, aside that fact that they seem to have lots of perceived 'voters'.....as you can see, a lot of people that like a Mercy, or a few times, a Mike, don't have any logical reasons for supporting them. It is usually a vague reason, especially a Mercy
I have been watching Big Brother for 17 years, I might as well have a PHD on the show, so, I know how it works. i talk like someone when has greatly studied voting patterns over the years. If this was Big Brother Africa, this bandwagon thing based on voting, would not have been possible. It is only possible because it is Big Brothee Nigeria and votes are based on percentages.
In Big Brother Africa, none of those Top 3 would have been in the house by now. Some countries would have banded together and used bloc votes to kick them out. That is not a bandwagon effect. A bandwagon effect happens when people do something because it has become fashionable to do it. For instance, if you buy a shoe because many people are buying it, that is an example of a bandwagon effect. If people start supporting Mike because it as much as appears like everyone is doing it, that is the bandwagon effect. It is different from supporting someone because you think they would win. The difference between the bandwagon effect and supporting someone because you believe they would win is that it doesn't take any research to jump on the bandwagon. All you need is to support what/who everyone else is supporting. |

Do you know the standard and quality of education that is run there for the University to be Ranked Number 1 in West Africa?
Do you know how much it would take for it to run with such quality?
The masses cannot even afford 20,000 a month for 24 hour power supply but they can claim to have contributed to the School because of 100 naira offerings. Covenant members who are struggling, I bet you can read this insult on you people Well, I don't blame Oyedepo, I blame those who continue to go there and drop last pennies. Convenant University can actually be made cheap without losing standards. All the owners need is to cut down on personal expenditures. If it takes 1 billion naira to fund Oyedepo's lifestyle in a year, he could cut it down to 20 million so that more brilliant but poor candidates can apply to his school. Then, the church owners could invest in more lucrative businesses, not for personal gains, but to help more students who are brilliant but are not financially buoyant. |

Because this video is very old, and it had nothing to do with a stepdad getting outboxed for beating up stepson's mother and sister.

meobizy: Throwback time: I remember seeing Lionel and Elizabeth from I-can’t-remember-the-name-of-their-season. I was in a car and a few of the ex housemates were to come for a dinner with fans in a popular hotel. Outside the gate I saw Elizabeth standing on the roadside, looking no different from a five hundred naira ashawo. I had no idea what she was waiting for and didn’t care to know. Close to the gate I saw Lionel looking really fit and trim. I could swear he was an athlete. The guy, standing six feet, dwarfed all the people standing around him. I kept wondering why I didn’t see the winner himself, Kevin.
Another time I saw Uti in a popular restaurant. This was straight after his first Big Brother stint. For someone tall and popular he sat in a corner of the location, looking down with his body curled into a ball as if suffering from inferiority complex. I walked up to him, called his name softly and stretched out my hand for a handshake. His face lit up from the gesture and he responded in kind. I asked him “how was it in the house?” to which he replied “very difficult”. I told him “you made us proud and we watched you every day.”, he said “thanks” then I walked off. Next thing I hear two years later the guy went back for the All Stars edition or whatever it was. OK |

Well, maybe she is now aware of her stench, and so decided to save others the torture. Khafi seems to be feeling guilty, and is not comfortable sitting too far away from Tacha. This is pathetic. Khafi needs to build her confidence. It is not her fault that Tacha chose to sit far away from the others. I don't see why she feels like it is her responsibility to bridge the gap. |

AbuTwins: In Islam. We have Prophets and Messengers.
All Messengers are Prophets but not vice versa.
In simple terms, A messenger is sent by Allah Messenger to a disbelieving people. Examples of messengers include Noah, Moses, Abraham,....., Jesus and Muhammad.(Peace and Blessings of Allah be on them all)
While a Prophet is sent by Allah to a believing people with the sharee’ah (laws) of the Messenger who came before him, to teach them and judge between them. e.g John, Ishaq, Jacob, Job, Aaron, Zachariah, Elisha,.....(Peace and Blessings of Allah be on them all) Are there prophets after Muhammad? Or is Muhammad really the last prophet? |
Islam › Re: Evidence That Muhammad Was A Prophet by BluntBoy(m): 2:14pm On Sep 13, 2019 |
AbuTwins: Question: Prove that Muhammad is a true Prophet. What powers did God give him? Please e-mail it as soon as possible.
Fatwa: All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu`alayhi wa sallam (may Allah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.
The signs that prove the prophecy of Muhammad sallallaahu`alayhi wa sallam (may Allah exalt his mention) are numerous. Many books have been written to enumerate them and thoroughly discuss them. We would like to mention some of these signs as reported by Muslim scholars and which prove that Muhammad sallallaahu`alayhi wa sallam (may Allah exalt his mention) was a real Prophet including:
- First, his good biography and high morals as well as the noble qualities that distinguished him. He was known before becoming a Prophet as a truthful and honest person, although the community where he lived was a society of ignorance. This was, perhaps, the most important sign of his prophecy. He was not known to have ever lied on people. So, why should he lie on be half of the Lord by claiming that he was a Prophet, if he was not a real Prophet?
- Second, the powers and triumphs Allah gave him and the spread of the religion he preached, as well as the triumph of this religion over all existing religions in a short period of time. Had he been a liar, Allah would have humiliated and destroyed him as He did with those before him who falsely claimed Prophethood.
- Third, the miracles Allah gave him as supporting evidence were beyond the ability of human beings and were beyond range of natural phenomena. The moon split for him, water gushed from his fingers, food became more abundant in his hands, and similar phenomena were authentically reported and happened in a way that could not be denied.
- Fourth, the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam (may Allah exalt his mention ) was backed by the greatest miracle which is the Quran. In fact, Quran was a challenge and remains a challenge for Arabs who were known to be good poets and eloquent speakers. Allah challenged them to write a single Surah (chapter) that would be similar to that of Quran, but the Arabs were unable to do so. Indeed, the challenge still endures, none of the Arabs throughout history - since the revelation of the Quran - was able to make anything that was even similar to it. No doubt that the Quran has been preserved intact until it came to us. Groups of people memorized it including children, adults, males and females. So generations brought the Quran to generations until it reached us as it was revealed 14 centuries ago. Hence, the Quran remains intact protected from distortion or alteration. Nothing has been added to it, nor taken from it. Quran is full of scientific facts that were verified only in these times of scientific investigation. No doubt that Muhammad who was illiterate would not have possessed this knowledge 14 centuries ago. Doesn't this prove the authenticity of the Quran and that it is the Word of the Creator of the Universe who knows all its secrets?
- Fifth, the things from the unseen that he (the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam (may Allah exalt his mention)) informed us about. Some of them occurred during his life time. Others happened later. Some of these things happened to the Prophets, may Allah exalt their mention, who preceded him and some are still to occur. He also informed about the signs of The Day of Judgment, some of which had already been seen such as widespread killings and genocide, adultery and fornication and the consumption of the alcohol, outnumbering of males by females and the increased number of earthquakes, and afflictions,… etc.
- Sixth, the testimony of some of the people of the Book that he was a true Prophet. Some of them believed in him like 'Abdullah Ibn Salam may Allah be pleased with him who was a Jew as well as Negus (king of Abyssinia) who was a Christian. Some of the people of the Book certified that he was a Prophet from Allah but refused to follow him like Huyayy Ibn Akhtab. The above are some of the signs that prove his Prophethood and the authenticity of his revelations. We would like the questioner to visit some of the Islamic centers in her area, and hopefully, they will guide her to some useful references in the matter.
Allah Knows best.

Fatwa answered by: The Fatwa Center at Islamweb I have question that I need an answer to. Are there criteria for identifying a prophet of Allah? I mean criteria, not mere observations. |
