When folks want to stick their marriage despite all odds, it most often isn't because they want to stay in the marriage or can't find an alternative, it is mostly because of their kids from that marriage. This applies mostly to the women, men are not left out though. Except for some individuals who can't love, I don't know how else you will want to leave your adorable ones in the hands of another man or woman to bring up. I don't understand how someone can exist without being responsible for the upbringing of their own childreen and sharing in the love and warmth these adorable ones offer? I can't imagine it myself sha. I don't know about others. |
I bet my beloved bole & peanuts jam that this lafflaff123 is the guy OP is talking about. If you read through his post you'll find out he personalised the matter. "People don't just come here and carry matta for head like dis". |
^^ It's not about hating APC, it about the multiple faces of our politicians. It is about the ease at which they fabricate lies and throw them to our faces without any form of guilt. Who will deliver Nigeria? |
Contrary to the hug-wash sold Nigerians about his patriotism and love for the entity Nigeria which saw him turning down the slot of a running mate of Gen Buhari in the next general election, the true story of what went down before Osinbajo got the slot to run with GMB as running mate is capture in the article below as published online by Thisday Live. My question now is: Can a credible politian ever evolve from this Nation? Read for yourselves: Call it the many nights of long knives, it still may not sufficiently capture the intrigues, betrayals, sellouts and drama that typified the various meetings which ultimately culminated in the choice of a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Lagos State, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy to the presidential standard-bearer of the party, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari. With barely 24 hours to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deadline for the submission of names of candidates by political parties, the name Osinbajo, which had been making the rounds as the alternative choice, finally got the official stamp of approval of the general to run with him on the party’s ticket. Practically all but the last meeting convened for the choice of a running mate for Buhari had failed for one reason: the reported interest of a former governor of Lagos State and one of the national leaders of the party, Bola Tinubu, who made a poor show of concealing his desire for the job. At each of those meetings, Tinubu, who yesterday said he turned down Buhari’s offer to be his running mate, was said to have made the emergence of a generally acceptable choice that excluded him impossible. For Tinubu, party sources alleged that he saw his probable ascension to the vice-presidency as an opportunity to be “compensated” for his incontrovertible role in the establishment of a strong and viable APC, a move other members of the party, including the governors, had opposed on the grounds that he would be a hard sell to the Nigerian public. To exemplify his all-consuming desire for the job, Tinubu was said to have attended one of the meetings with the South-west leaders of the party last weekend and told his audience a story of how Buhari had agreed to field him as his running mate. According to him, all he needed was the consent of those at the meeting in writing, in order to convince the retired general that he (Tinubu) also had the support of the South-west caucus to emerge as his running mate. Ostensibly, however, he was purported to have conjured the story following the honour accorded him by Buhari to choose the running mate and put himself forward for the position. But this, a majority of those at the meeting saw through, compelling one of governors to say if his statement was true, “Buhari has picked you, then you don’t need our signatures to get our support”. Unfortunately for him, some of those at the meeting were uncomfortable with the fact that he wanted to get them to sign a communiqué, which he would have taken to Buhari, informing him that his people in the South-west, majority of whom are governors, had asked that he be fielded as the vice-presidential candidate. In Tinubu's estimation, the story would have been difficult to refute in order not to embarrass him nor put the party in a fix. When it became clear to Tinubu that his people had effectively opposed his emergence as Buhari’s deputy, he reportedly broke down in tears, moaning that their stance would render him insignificant in the scheme of things if he was neither allowed the opportunity to field himself nor present a candidate of his choice.“We told him frankly: ‘Look, we love you as our oga but Nigerians don’t.' We told him we could not sell him because one, he is a Muslim and two, other issues might emerge from the woodworks that could be embarrass him and the party.“When it suddenly dawned on him that his goal was slipping from his grasp, he broke down in tears,” alleged a source, who also claimed that it was at that point everyone gave in to his demands that the post of Buhari’s running mate be zoned to the South-west and he should be allowed to pick someone else in his stead. His despondency was further compounded after Monday’s nocturnal meeting where the parameters were clearly defined for the selection of a running mate. At this juncture, Tinubu may have thought that he had been completely schemed out and again sought the understanding of the South-west caucus of the APC to give him a soft landing by allowing him to decide who deputises for Buhari, regardless of his political baggage. With their backing, he dug deep. So while other vice-presidential hopefuls were being bandied as possible running mates, Tinubu ensured that the post of vice president never left the South-west, and made a last ditch effort to secure the position for himself. In this regard, on Tuesday, he was said to have met with Buhari, who was at this point at his wits end with the pressure that had been brought to bear on the selection of his running mate. Buhari, during the meeting, was said to have told Tunubu in clear terms that he would neither run with him nor accept a Muslim-Muslim pairing, adding that if he pushed it too hard, he (Buhari) might be compelled to stand down even as the party’s candidate. When Tinubu tried to make Buhari see things his way, a shouting match ensued, compelling the general to walk out on Tinubu so that the situation would not degenerate. It was against this backdrop that the former Lagos governor allegedly rushed back to his people to push for the emergence of Osinbajo.Seeing that Buhari was unyielding, Tinubu and the South-west caucus was left with no option than to unanimously back Osinbajo as the alternative option who was presented to Buhariand subsequently approved by him in order to meet today’s deadline for the submission of candidates’ names. To political observers, Tinubu, with his overt desire, covert antics and brinksmanship, may have secured a diminished victory. But of greater significance, he has had a taste of what it means to manage and square up against the contending interests and forces at play in a truly large national party. In the days of yore, he could dictate the pace and rhythm of his more malleable, regional Action Congress (AC) and later Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN). With APC, he was shown that he can no longer pull the strings like a puppet master behind the scenes as he deems fit. With Osinbajo’s selection for the number two slot, it remains to be seen if Tinubu’s latest gamble will do his party and Buhari’s chances in the contest against the Jonathan/Sambo ticket any good. In the final analysis, the answer to this lies with the Nigerian electorate. Source: http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/-Osinbajo-s-emergence-the-drama-the-intrigues/197056/ |
Ah! A lady good in bed o first. She will learn how to cook later. My reason: being great in bed comes from within; that's what makes it an art. It is embedded in the gene. Cook books and apps has bridge the gap between a poor and a good cook. |

I guess most of the pro North didn't see this in the article: “After all, injustice is not only when equals are treated unequally, but also when unequal (s) are treated equally.” That statement up there is huge. So the north is actually implying that we are unequals. No wonder their mentality that none except them has the right to lead Nigeria. If they feel they deserve more because of land mass and size, why would they oppose the region that owns the resources they all share from getting a greater chunk of it? Double standard if you ask me. So much for One Nigeria. A sizable land mass does not automatically translate to more population. If for anything, resource distribution should be based on population density. |
That image I guess is pulled from a CCTV installed probably at the madam's work place since her interview took place there. But unfortunately, the image is not usable as the nanny is not recognisable. This is why investment in a good surveillance solution is of great importance. It's amazing that to this day, some organisations and businesses are still using a 320 x 640 pixel cameras solutions. When you try to educate them on why the need to invest in a quality solution, their focus lies on the cost and not results. You are better off without a mediocre surveillance solution so you can guard yourselves than trusting in a system that is not usable just like this one. I pray she is caught soon sha. But time is going o and the masterminds must have a well thought out plan. We need full biometric database of every Mary and Jane in this country. |

Did you say denied? That woman is a BIG a FAT cheat. That is the only reason she will come up with such a useless answer. Imagine not knowing how a number entered her U & Me list! Na wah sha. Except however you leave with relatives either your wife's or yours. That could explain the strange number else - hmmmmm. |
This is why cctv should be an integral part of every home. If CCTV seems a lil'off reach, then a nanny cam can suffice. These things are really affordable. People should embrace them. |
Can't make out a head or tail about this post. Nice topic but poorly presented. |
My sincere and heart-felt condolence to you dearie. May the Almighty God strengthen you and be your succour in this your trying time. |
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) today reopened the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) terminal that was closed after a clash broke out between clearing agents and officers of the Nigerian Customs Service at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos. Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Alhaji Dikko Abdullahi, who announced the reopening of the terminal after 12 days of closure this morning, tasked clearing agents operating at the airport cargo section on compliance to import guidelines and provisions of the Customs and Excise Management Act (CEMA). He also warned against touting and unruly behaviour even as he charged the leadership of the registered freight forwarding associations operating at the terminal to ensure that undesirable elements are denied access into the facility. National President, Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Prince Olayiwola Shittu, who was part of the team that received Abdullahi, assured that the clearing agents would work together with the management of the airport to weed out touts from the system. It would be recalled that the Nigerian Customs Service shut the cargo terminal on November 20 after hoodlums allegedly attacked the Area Controller. Trouble started when the Area Controller was said to have been pelted with stones by the hoodlums shortly after he directed agents not to go near the bulk breaking section of the cargo terminal on his way to work. Following the development, Olanrewaju called for reinforcement from the Federal Operations Unit, Zone ‘A’ who confronted the protesting agents. It was gathered that the presence of the FOU operatives made the agents scamper for safety as they were said to have shot sporadically in the air. Some clearing agents were arrested. It seems Kanye bit much more than he can chew when he made a snide remark on Zappos that the ecommerce brand sells sh*t. The www and social media sphere gave him a piece of their mind following an #EPIC response from Tony the Zappos CEO. He listed on his site a product called sh*t and it sold out. God hates divorce quite alright but Christ gave the only grounds for divorce in Mathew 19 vs 8-9 during a question and answer session with the Pharisees: Jesus said, “Moses provided for divorce as a concession to your hard heartedness, but it is not part of God’s original plan (with emphasis on the word "Original" ). I’m holding you to the original plan, and holding you liable for adultery if you divorce your faithful wife and then marry someone else (with emphasis on the word "Faithful Wife" ). I make an exception in cases where the spouse has committed adultery.” Note also that the same bible In Mathew 18 vs 18 said "Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven." So if we unanimously agree that adultery, battery, violence etc isn't healthy in marriage and as a result validate it as good grounds for divorce, then so be it. It already has a bible backing. |
Laying it carefully on the cab floor is a better option since the cab didn't provide a bin which would have been more appropriate. Throwing it off the window is uncivilised and constitutes nuisance. By the way did I make FTC? Hmmmmmm okay oooo. |
@OP what most peeps has told you here is nothing but the truth. What you have done is like applying a cold compress on a feverish child. It will bring down the child's body temperature but will not stop the fever which certainly will come back. I don't subscribe to Automedics bills but it's not yet uhuru for you on that ride. The MIL will come back blinking, due to bad O2 sensor car will dump unburnt fuel on your CAT and kill it. At the moment, your car is running in safe mode due to bad knock sensor and as a result, it will run rich and also won't have a biting power. To get your ride back to optimum performance, fix all the reported issues and also clean your Air Filter and MAF. With these done, come and clap for us because your ride will be running like new. |
To add to what Autobays said, I am certain your knock sensor is also out. Do a scan and report back. Your fix lies in the scan result. |
Phema:Now this is what I call objective reasoning and realistic assessment. I am sure you may have score above 350 when you wrote Jamb. I am guessing some people only just read a topic subject and provide responses without delving into the main story. Na wah o! |
aisha2:God has heard your cry Aisha. I know if you have the means, you would have rescued this family. May God bless your family. Their story is heart drenching. As it stands at the Moment OP, your wife's proposition remains the most feasible except a miracle happens. Just like someone rightly said, desperate times call for desperate measures. This too shall pass brother. Look up to God and remember, don't be choosy about jobs now and don't stop aiming higher if when you land one. |
To properly diagnose your overheating complaint we need to rule out a few basic things. First: Is there enough coolant/antifreeze in the radiator? Don't just look inside the plastic overflow bottle, but remove the radiator cap (when the engine is cold) and look inside the radiator. You should be able to physically see the fluid level if it is at its proper level. Most cars and trucks will hold 1 1/2-2 gallons of coolant and water mixture. If you have to add more than a pint of fluid you should have the cooling system pressure tested for a leak. If you see any obvious fluid loss on the ground or in the engine compartment, you should also have the system tested for leaks. Second: If no coolant leak or low fluid level is present, then determine when the overheating complaint occurs. If the engine overheats while at a stop or idle only: Most front wheel drive cars use an electric cooling fan motor located in front or behind the radiator. The function of the cooling fan is to improve airflow across the radiator at stops and low speeds. The fan is controlled by sensors that regulate the engine temperature and additional load that might be placed on the engine. The air conditioning compressor will require the cooling fan to operate at idle as long as the compressor is on. A quick way to check the cooling fan operation is to turn on the air conditioner. The cooling fan should come on with the air conditioner compressor. Some cars will have two electric fans, one is for the radiator and the other is the air conditioner condenser fan. Usually the radiator fan is closer to the middle of the radiator. The radiator fan is responsible for engine cooling, and the condenser fan is responsible for increasing air conditioning efficiency at idle and low speed. If your vehicle does not have an electric cooling fan on the radiator it will have a belt driven fan blade and fan clutch. This fan should be pulling a large amount of warm to hot air across the radiator onto the engine. What you want to determine with either fan situation is that there is ample airflow across the radiator at idle. The radiator is the primary heat exchange for the engine, and airflow is crucial. What if the engine overheats while at high speeds on the freeway? Again, airflow and coolant circulation are crucial. At 55 MPH we can assume you have ample airflow across the radiator, so proper antifreeze circulation is the thing to inspect. I compare overheating at 55MPH to jogging with a sock in your mouth. The faster and longer you jog, the more air you are going to require, and with a sock in your mouth you are going to have to breath extra hard to maintain the proper amount of air to keep you going. At 55MPH the water pump is pumping a large amount of hot antifreeze throughout the cooling system. If there is a restriction in the system like a kinked radiator hose, a restricted radiator, or a stuck thermostat, it will produce the same affect as the sock in the mouth scenario. Rust and water calcification can accumulate in the radiator and drastically reduce the flow of coolant at high speeds. Removing the radiator from the vehicle for disassembly and cleaning or radiator replacement are the only two real cures for a clogged radiator. Using a can of "radiator flush" additive might help as preventive maintenance, but will probably just be a waste of time and money trying to correct a restricted radiator. You can read my past article about radiator flushing by clicking on this link: Flushing your Radiator and Cooling System Of course there are more technical issues that could produce an overheating complaint, but the check list described above will identify the most common. Anything you can do to help the mechanic diagnose the problem will probably result in less diagnostic charges to you, and might help insure a proper diagnosis of the problem. cmoney22222:Your thermostat seems likely stuck or opens just a little not allowing sufficient coolant flow. You might need a change. Beware of the aftermarket versions sold here. I am not ruling out the possibility of getting a good one but truth is, they are far in-between. |
speed001:Looking at what you have there, it doesn't seem like the oem going by the nature of the metal it's built on and the uneven finishing of the rubber gasket seal around the neck. If you also look closely you will notice it doesn't have the escape valve like the original. The OEM is listed without the seal but it's available for purchase. While lots of aftermarket version comes with the seal though cheaper. The one I sourced is same as shipped with a brand new 2003 Camry from toyota factory. |

I can help you order that straight from the US if u have the patience. The problem I have with buying parts locally is the flooding of our market with substandard versions of almost any and all parts. I will raise you a quote if you are interested. And hey! I mean OEM version of your thermostat, not some aftermarket version. |
