Car TalkRe: Mazda Thread by BluStreak(m): 9:23am On Jul 01, 2014
Wow! How come mazda thread is so not active? Mazda cars are awesome cars o. My only problem is they seem under-powered. I bought an 02 Millie off Nairaland for Wifey, car is so sound but when I drive it and step on the gas pedal, it doesn't follow swiftly like my 07 Accord V6 despite the Millie being a V6. Is it a fault or the car is just under-powered?
FamilyRe: Love Or Submission...which Should Come First In Marriage? by BluStreak(m): 8:31am On Jul 01, 2014
With the way things are going on in this generation, marriage will soon be redefined. Values have been lost. Wives don't see the need to submit to their husbands. They want to live and dress and carry themselves like single ladies still hunting for men. That to me is paranoia - you can't eat your cake and have it. No happy man at home wants to mess around with other women outside. If no vacuum is created, there won't be one to feel. Wives submit to your husbands. Men understand the emotional needs of women, but you ain't getting none if you ain't submissive and respectful. Marriage as we know it might soon become just co-habitation if we continue on this road of misrepresented/misinterpreted gender equality.
RomanceRe: Why We Like Them Married. by BluStreak(m): 8:39am On Jan 10, 2014
Well, opinion poll has shown that single girls/ladies date married men for various reasons which ranges from; married men being very caring, provides financial support without much ado, not judgemental and allow them explore their sexuality to maximum height unlike single guys that will view them as being spoilt and in turn dump them or spread gossips about them. I took time to ask some ladies and undergrads and those were the responses I got.

CrimeRe: Fatal Accident Along Ore/benin Road (pictures) by BluStreak(m): 6:29am On Jan 06, 2014
People I saw this accident live and I give kudos to the Nigerian people and even the Nigerian Police. Everyone can't be part of the resuscitation process but everyone rallied round the best way they can. People brought anointing oil, holy water, bottled water. In short, all hands were on deck to save lives and thank God the efforts paid off. The unconscious lady in black dress was resuscitated before being rushed off to the hospital. The tow vehicles we all hate to love because of diabolical stories I have heard about them actually lend their vehicles for rushing the victims to the hospital. One of the miracle twins sustained a head injury but I doubt if it was life traitening.

My verdict! There is hope for Nigeria.

AutosUrgent Advice Needed On Kia 2005 SEDONA VAN by BluStreak(op):
Please o my Nairaland car experts and other users, compliments of the season to you all.

Please I was checking out for a reasonable affordable car I can buy for my mum and in my query for an affordable but below $2000 vehicle! I stumbled onto Kia Sedona. Several 2005 & 2006 models that are all in good shape except for milages' a little above 100,000 miles. Note that my mum is approaching 70 and won't have much places to go and is now retired in the village.

My concern now is; How reliable is this vehicle?

Thanks guys as I expect your responses.

This is for the car shippers in the US. I know my main man inspired won't touch this type with a 20 feet pole cos LOL. So if I make a choice for say one that costs $1200 to buy, what will be the total package to get it to my house here in Lagos?

Thanks all.

Pls MODs make una help me put this one for FP as. I wan surprise my mama.

mrvocalprowess: truth b told.. tecno cant b compared 2 samsung, htc or iPhone... its a budget device 4 crying out loud !!!!its meant 4 pple dat cant aford d big names but stil want a smartphone experience... a tecno l3 has 90% functions of an android os..d only differences r minor stuffs like display, hardware...etc...all in allll...if u hav d cash,gt a topnotch device, if u dnt hav d cash n stil wana experience a smartphone capabilities gt a tecno,gionee...we shudnt criticize blindly, Dats y we hav "high clas, middle clas, lower clas"all fingers aint equal! buy wat u can aford
As simple as ABC my guy. I have held back for a loooong time from joining in this Tecno/other brands war. Tecno as the budget device it is, is doing well on its own terrain. The comparison and even outright bashing of the big brands is what drives me nuts. Pls Tecno fans make una stop this joooor. Tecno na Tecno; a knock off device. It can never compare with the big brands. Make una let person rest abeg. I dey para jooooor x mcheeeew.

If Tecno give you what you want, use it. If baba God come butter your bread further or if eventually you come get the liver to spare big money on a smart device, get any of the big names and judge for yourself thereafter. Na here e reach me talk. Ka Chineke mezie okwu.

Who's Confused Here?
God bless you brother. I was gonna ask the same question. Of what use is the vehicles if they can't use it to better their lot? Who will fuel the vehicles for these youths or fix it when it has issues? Misplaced priority. Bunch of idiots that lack the basic knowledge for a progressive system. How many cars has Fashola given out to Lagos youths? Mcheeeeew x I dey vex and boil the same time. I weep for my people.
forget talk my guy. l have a phantom tab and samsung note 2 and i prefer the phantom
Na lie joooor. Maybe cos the samsung screen is smaller. Try the Note 8 and come back and say the same. Is it Tecno's poor font resolution/ quality or their wack landscape mode typing capability? Too much to get it trashed joooor.
PhonesRe: The Truth About Tecno For Those Rushing The Phone by BluStreak(m): 6:35pm On Dec 12, 2013
Truth be told, Tecno is a budget phone reason they cut corners in all their devices. Dunno how someone will expect to get a premium performance on a budget device. It is a budget device for a reason. I have seen from Tecno M3 to Phantom A+. I am previlaged to haves handled each of their device series and even helped configure it for some newbies. They are crap to put it mildly.

People scream about the awesomeness of the Phantom A series screen and I begin to wonder what will be the assertion of any of these peeps if they happen to see an iPhone, even from 3GS or iPad 3 or iPad mini Retina screen? Or any of the samsung Note series screen? Or a Sony Xperia screen? Or even a Google Nexus 7 screen? Aside the screen, have you compared the awesome UI or the fluidity of their UI? I need not say more.

VERDICT: Tecno is crap. It's just a generic device. Nothing spectacular about it. If it serves your eyes well sha, use it. But Tecno fans should stop comparing it with any of the premium brands. It's an insult. Until the lay down good money on R & D across universities, pay good programmers for better UI, they will remain where they are; The Underdogs.

FamilyRe: Should I Employ My Ex Girlfriend's Hubby In My Company? by BluStreak(m): 11:13pm On Dec 11, 2013
@baby_123 you have a very reasonable point but don't spoil it by being aggressive in your assertions devoid of human face.

@OP, please stay away from that woman and her husband. You have a good intentions towards helping your ex which I must commend. However, the circumstance on ground makes it a very dangerous part to walk. Irrespective of your noble intentions, the man will harbour a great animosity for you and there is no saying what he can do. Employing him will be like dinning with the enemy.

The best way to help out is to recommend and probably persuade a friend to employ him. Then give the wife the details and ask that she compels her hubby to go to the company to apply and submit his CV. This way, you will stay out of harm's way.

A man's wife is his pride and anything that touches that pride stands on a dangerous ground.

My 1 kobo.

FamilyRe: Would Be Brides; Come In, Let's Plan Together! by BluStreak(m): 1:44am On Dec 01, 2013
Phema: Yea yea. Cost of things also depend on your location. My wedding will be taking place in Benin, so things like hall, decor, DJ and EMCEE will be cheaper than say, Lagos.

I got a very nice hall with chairs, tables and generator for about 50k. Same hall will go for at least 300k in Lag. Only downside is that it is owned by a Church and they have insisted there won't be alcohol brought into the hall, neither will there be non gospel music (na this one I no gree). How the hell will we dance to "Lift Him up, higher"? cheesy

The caterer I found has insisted on charging per plate or we buy the things she will need to cook and then pay her off. Don't really know which is better.

Where are all the intending brides na? undecided
Imagine! While I £ucking paid N250k for a hall in Asaba. So many things I didn't know before the wedding. It hurts so bad. Yes it does. Spent so much and later realized one can actually get a decent wedding for less than a millie sef cry
