MY TAKE ON THE TOWER OF BABEL STORY

I've at a point in my life wondered and argued on why God had to distort human language in the tower of babel story.
I mean how can that ever be justified? How can a supposed good God destroy the one thing that can efficiently foster unity among human? Does it mean God was afraid of his creation from what he said in Gen 11:6? Did God use the divide and conquer tactic on the Babel community?
These were questions that i needed answers to. Well, after detailed studying, introspection, and especially Holy spirit's proclivity for enlightening truth-seekers, I found the answers in the chapters that preceded.
Simply put, "Human are Imperfect and has no foresight". God's plan was to create men that filled the whole earth in glorification of His name, not some self aggrandizing skyscrapper building egomaniac savages who though having an hindsight of what happened to their generation being almost wiped out by flood, still lack the foresight to see into God's plan and would rather plunge into a situation that will go on to culminate into another destructive event for them. God wouldnt let this be.
Human had a single language which God was okay with until this stubborn guys of noah days found a plain in sinari and decide to settle down, build a city so high to the heavens just to make names for themselves.

From studying this story, i took home few points:

1. Stone age or whatnot, Men have always being very smart, even God acknowledged that by acting swiftly.

2. GOD knew human has huge potential and are capable of achieving whatever they could Imagine.

3. But being imperfect and lacking foresight, Human sole plan will always lead to their own destruction unless God intervenes.

4. Language distortion was neccessary to achieve God's plan

5. Men eventually made a name for themselves but not in the way they initially wanted to go about achieving it.

6. The story proves the accuracy of The Holy Bible and explain the diversity of human languages and culture.

7. Sometimes, what you think are negative situations in your life may not really be negative, they could be God's plan to save you from self destruction. Why not pray and rely fully on him.

There's always an incoherent answer whenever you ask any Nigerian youth involved in internet scam why they have refuse to stop the act despite the wide police crackdowns, moral ostracization from the society, or perhaps after they achieve financial stability and have generated sufficient funds to maintain solvency.
The answer is always incoherent, vain and unreasonable. The only conclusion one can come to is that most yahoo boys have overtime come to enjoy the thrills.

The thrill they get from earning free money, from the false egoistic feeling of power derived from what they perceive as their ability to influence another human to do their biddings - the pseudo believe that they are smart, the superiority feeling they get from non yahoo folks who cowardly rever them at every given chance, from the status mindedness that their continuous days of frivolousness in clubs, on ladies and material things has caused them. Or the worse of them, various blindsided views they have of what they do that seek to justify their act which they unfortunately and recklessly believe as truth.

At this point it's safe to say every successful Internet fraudster in Nigeria suffers a great deal of mental disorder.

Truly, the recipient of these internet scam, mostly old white citizen of foreign nations are, at a stretchy length, unfortunate victims. It is disheartening what they suffer at the hands of scammers, potentially causing a great deal of material loss and emotional trauma leading to long lasting damage and sometimes even death.
But I'm focusing here on the yahoo boys, self inflicted victims who have no idea what the mental effect of their actions are having on theirselves and those around them.

Money has always been a means to an end, so does every other material things. But not for yahoo boys, it is quite prevalent among them that whenever they become successful i.e earn so much, it becomes difficult to focus or shift to other career path. What they began as a means to an end would later and uncontrollably become the end itself.

Some whose excuse was to earn enough for school would later lose interest in schooling, those who did it for business would start a business venture but won't be able to sustain it without the continuous cash flow from their yahoo side hustle.
There's always a reason to go back to that life.

Tons of life and purpose has been wasted due to youth deviating from their original career path and focusing solely on what they meant to be a means to an end. This explains why there are so many Nigerians youths with lack of purpose but heavy pockets. They frequent clubs, hooked on drugs, and lives a pointless and purposeless life with all the funds they have while driving endlessly to earn more through the same unscrupulous means.

Every successful Internet fraudster in nigeria are delusional. Nigeria Internet scam or yahoo as it is popular named in Nigeria is the greatest brain drain the nation is facing right now.

Youths who are suppose to be on a career path and become useful to the nation are hugely distracted, wasting potentials, deluding their own mind by constantly engaging in faulty thinking processes that only inspire destructive creativity. Just like the ouroboros, they bite their own tail by invading their own mind to search for the most crooked way to scam their victim and by so doing mentally harming themselves.

This bring me back to the spiritual component of the whole thing. There's a darkness above our youths, cutting them off their potentials, stripping them off their inheritance by luring them, enticing them with promise of fulfilment through yahoo yahoo. It is a lie. It is a never ending shackle that destroys. It is trans generational, moving from one blood generation to another if it's not controlled and stopped.

You ever wonder why fraud, violence, drug abuse, sexual immorality are the big bane of our Nigerian youths? It's because it is demonic 4 in 1 package that go hand in hand. The world of darkness is doing everything it can to ruin lives and send plenty to hell. And as always, Satan always offer his gift of evil wrapped in coverings of sweetness. No wonder it is now a notion these days that to be a successful yahoo boys in naija, you have to have a strong baba who can provide you with effective soaps. Open your eyes. These are demonic agents that are striping you of your worthiness. They are after your life. Stop trading your virtue, your shine, your usefulness, for mere sands.

They prowl twitter looking for possible corners, sign, anywhere that suggest wizkid might be disrespected and attack first. They dont care if burna is wizkid's buddy or that theres never been a bad blood between olamide and wiz. They are always proactive, ready to pounce, and saving enough bants for rainy days. They are very good graphic designers and editors. To them, everybody has to collect. They sometimes pounce on other slacking FC members. These ones will serve you today today if they slightly feel you have the tendency to disrespect wizkid in 10 years to come. They leave nothing to chance. They saw into the future literally and were already serving the outsiders during the days of balon dor.

3. Anti 30bg and Anti outsider F.C : This is a special op team dedicated solely for the 30BGs and burna's outsiders. I think the statement of their mission would be "To torment till Both 30 and outsiders admits wizkid is the best" These set of FC are always at loggerhead with the other two influencial fan base. Every fan war revolves around them. They can throw bants for daysss non stop. There's always something new to fight over. If its not the idolo who's got the most autenthic sold out show, it'd be the one who's got a mega hit without no feature. it never ends. At this point, not even a davido x wizkid × burna feature can make them like one another.

4. Likes and Retweet F.C : These are the moderate Fc who love everythng wizkid but may not directly involve themsleves in twitter fights and bants, however they so much love to see it when their fellow FCs are rightly cooking other fan bases. You see them show their joy through likes, comments, retweets, emojis and memes. These ones are known to retweet and share links to wizkids songs under every comment sections. They are always hyped up about everything wizkid. They re the one who magically run up your engagement or followers list whenever you tweet something nice about wizkid. They see wiz friends as their own friends. They automatically love anyone associated with wiz especially non africans that can sing along to wiz music. They make the majority of his fans.

5. Big wing FC : These are the major influencer among the FC. They are high ranked members of FC, commanders of battalions, always playing forward. They mark strategic area of attack and launch forward the soldiers while playing the forward role themselves. Their street cred is high among the fc probably cuz their tweets have been retweeted or quoted at a point by wizkid associate or wizkid himself. They have the longest thread on wizkid's doings, they defend, attack, like, share and retweet at every chance they got. They work the hardest to keep the FC together. More like managers.

6. Celebrity FC : These are celebrities who love wiz and do not shy away from showing it at every opportunity they get. Singers, influencers, comedians, footballers, actors and actresses etc. You see them make videos vibing and singing along to wiz music.

7. Closeted FC: These category of FC love wizkid but hardly show it publicly due to their affiliation to other big artiste. They have a feeling that showing their love for wizkid publicly may strain their own relationship with other artiste who perceive wizkid as competitors They want no bad blood.

Wizkid fc vs 30BG:Fan loyalty or outright toxicity

Its every celebrity's dream to garner as much fan base as that of wizkid and davido, and to enjoy the pure love and loyalty these two incredible artiste enjoy. however For many years, this two most sought after and unparralleled afrobeat artistes Wizkid and Davido have had to deal with the excesses of their fans which trails them since they got into limelight and has only grew stronger after each episodes of their success in the nigeria entertainment industry and across the globe.

Ayo balogun aka Wizkid is the General in chief and object of obsession of the WIZKID FC, a global die hard fan base whose love for the starboy can be said to only be inexplicable at this point.

This has been the reality of these powerful fan bases on twitter. Out and bold in support of their idol, vicious and never holding back when attacking the other. However, there is a third force on twitter, the association of comment readers and onlookers (AcroN) calling for a ceasation to this madness after what transpired on the timeline between yesterday, wizkid's son boluwatife's birthday and today, davido's daughter Imade's birthday. Though the third force has always find the power tussles betwwen the two fan bases amusing for a long time, but they couldnt agree more that these fans toxic and destructive tendencies are beyond human reasoning. To make these kids birthday business as usual is cruel and begs the question of true loyalty . They went as far as attacking these innocents kids, shaming their dad and calling each other disgusting names. One starts to wonder if its all worth it. There should be a boundary you cannot cross when it comes to trolling kids no matter who they are.

First of all, I'd like you all to know I'm a sinner. A big sinner. I was raised a christian, not entirely my choice, but walking along that path till this time that I can decide what my choices are, I'm forced to ask myself why people think its so hard to serve God, through Jesus. When most people are confronted about their lifestyle as a sinner including myself, our reaponse instead facing the issue is to build a wall of defence and start questioning religion generally.

I lie, I've stolen, I smoke, I masturbate, I've been disobidient to my parent and still disagree with them on some issues, I engage in sex outside of marriage, Ive faulted people over their choices and that's judging, I have been selfish, and have question the existence of God. Still, Christians has come to say all this things do not matter, I can still be saved.

Now a free thinking person would argue that inspite of all I counted as my supposed sin, I don't need saving, as these things are normal for people to do due to the society we found ourselves in. That is it isn't our fault. That Every action, every sins has been a result of the world I found myself. So anyone whose come out to say I have to limit myself to certain things is trying to take advantage of my guilt, tge said guilt put into my heart throught their self serving sermon in the first place. But this notion is very wrong.

When you really search inward, as human, you would find out that all the answers are inside of you. I would refuse to quote any bible passage not make this discussion one sided. Let's think about it as a human. The actions that are considered sin in chritiandom, are they really self serving to the pastors or are they truly harmful to human physically and spiritually?

When you separate your mind from free thinking texts you've read online, and various anti religion manuscript, you'd be surprised to find out that the layouts of Christianity are to serve for good health and spiritual fitness not for self serving pastors.

Now as a christian just 4 things are required of you.

1. First is to know that God created you and be grateful for it. He's responsible for the life that you have. Your parent conceived you fine yes. God isnt disputing that infact he acknowledged in the holy book that your parent has to conceive you but He said He has known you even before you were conceived. You were not conceived out of nothing. You were being somewhere in a dimension before the act of sex summoned you down for a body and experience on earth. Your parent are responsible for your body not your spirit. The English meaning of conceive is "to form" The sperm isn't a life giving, it forms a body. It contains genetic information, biological features of both parent come together to form a new body that would house a new spirit coming to earth. God is the life giving spirit and He creates you and wants you to know him and acknowledged him just as you do your earthly parent this of course is for your own benefit cuz youre not gonna be on earth forever. Earth is just an experience.

2. Acknowledged Jesus, God's son as your lord and saviour. This is a particar one that gives most educated folks hard time to grasp. One can wrongly say that sometimes knowledge is a curse. Non educated people tend to believe almost everyday but educated ones would think think and connect dots until it make sense to them. One is such instances is the person of Jesus Christ. Questions like if God is my God why can't I access him directly and personally? Why do I need a middleman, How's Jesus God? Infact why Jesus? How is he more qualify than the messengers in the other religion? These questions I can sincerely say have been answered in the bible if you really search well.
One thing the christian believe for sure is you have to accept Jesus as your lord and saviour cus He died for you

3. Third thing is to stay away from sin. Honestly I can say that we generally don't have problem with 1 and 2. Our biggest problem and the reason for many rebellious stance is our unwillingness, sometimes failure to keep away from all that is recognizable as "Sin" in christiandom. Failure to not sin is always burdensome especially when you've made up your mind to remain sinless. The pang of guilt and doubt of salvation that comes with it could either make you more steadfast to God or completely send you off the rail. Only if they know that Jesus didnt die just for our sin, He systematically died for the guilt of it. Guilt is Satan's weapon against ignorant christian. Let's say you stole your neighbours toy, and ur mom paid for it, you need not feel ashame anymore if you truly repent and vow not to do that again. Satan being Satan will come in guise of your friends to mock u and call you names but who cares you've repented and your mom has given back the stolen toy. Failure to stop sinning when you try to is understandable but the unwillingness to keep away from sin is what drives many into atheist or other religion. Unwilling people do not question God or Jesus existence because they really want to know him, they do coz they r trying to avoid being responsible. Whether we like it or not though. When you live a life of sin, youre living a life of disservice

4. Fourth thing which is also important is a life of prayer and service. This is where communication and commitment comes in. Prayer and service goes hand in hand. One always help the other whenever either is dilatory. When faced with a problem so big that youre too weary to pray, your time of service to the lord will help you out. Services like reaching out to help the needy, discussing salvation with others, taking care of house of God and promoting the church services in terms of being an active worker in the body of Christ are all ways of services. This all shows commitment. Prayer also is a very important in communicating with God. I think the most issue we have with praying is the fact that we are not even sure if we r being heard. One could say "I'm not even seeing who I'm talking to, why cant God just reveal himself and this would be much easier, but sorry that can't happen. You cannot see God. You can only see Jesus which is God in human body which to my knowledge only appear in his true form very rarely to people if we are gonna be honest. But the wonderful thing is He communicates every seconds. Stop looking to see him face to face but practice to listen to Him. He talks. Infact His name is the " word" of God. God never stops soeaking. Speaking to different people at a time and to same people at different time. All you gotta do is be patient. Be patient and set your heart right.


So as a sinner myself looking to pray more and be more willingly to do the needful, I encourage us all to look within ourselves when bothered with question about God. Look back at all that has happened to you and ask yourself if it was all coincidence. Ask yourself if youre really a tiny speck of dust that should be meaningless. Cuz trust me it'll be if you don't quickly get under a banner of faith.

Religion is the cause of our worlds problem blah blah blah. This statement is true not because religion is the cause of our problems but because those who wants to cause us problem are using religion as a tool. Spirituality is personal. Jesus didn't stand at the synagogue and ask whoever wants to join his 12 disciple to raise their hands no he seek them out personally. But later ask them to converge in one accord that is where religion comes in. You have to be convinced personally before converging. The problem we have now is we converge before being convinced personally. That why its easy to use religion as a tool to disrupt the world. Religion, being in accord with one another was meant to save the world.

There you have it. I am a sinner, not proud of it, I will change I'm working in it but I will not be part of the few who would condemn Christianity based on what few bad eggs have done or just on mere unwillingness.

Know God and thank him for your existence, accept Jesus who is God in flesh, stay away from sin, pray and commit. That is all you need.

Jesus was born in the year 4 B.C., in the city of David, Bethlehem. He was born of the virgin Mary, fathered in her by the Holy Spirit of God. Angels announced to the world in beautiful song, glory to God in the highest and on earth peace among men with whom He is well pleased. One angel in particular announced to them, "Behold I bring you good news of great joy, for to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior who is Christ the Lord." Thus the shepherds were invited to pay homage to the new King. Wise men were called from afar by the shining of a glorious star. Later old Simeon and old Anna saw their life's ambition come to pass as they viewed the new child, the Savior, as God had promised them they would before they died.

Jesus was raised in the small rural town of Nazareth, where His adoptive father, Joseph, taught him to use the tools of a carpenter. It was hard work, work requiring much manual labor, skill, an eye for construction and body that could bear up to hours of sweating in the hot sun. It produced hands made coarse from touching rough wood. For many years Jesus worked in the trade of being a carpenter.

At the age of 30 Jesus sought out John the Baptist, at first John refused to baptize Jesus saying, that he felt unworthy to touch even the sandals of the Son of God. As Jesus was coming up from the waters of Jordan, a voice spoke from Heaven, "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased." Jesus went into the wilderness, to allow Satan to tempt Him just as Satan tempts us today.
For forty days Jesus fasted and then beat down the foe, Satan, with his powerful knowledge of God's will. As He came down from the hills, He was filled with the Holy Spirit, and he walked, talked, and lived among men for three years.

John wrote in his gospel (20:30) "Now Jesus did many other signs ill the presence of the disciples which are not recorded in this book. But these were written so that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name." And John recorded that Jesus raised the dead to live again, made the blind to see, made the lame to walk, cast out demons, made food for five thousand from a few loaves of bread and a few fish, stilled the seas during a storm, and walked upon water. Yet even these displays of power did not convince the Jews to whom God sent the Son as a Savior and King. Instead they sought to kill Him.

On a Thursday night, Jesus met with his apostles, in the city of Jerusalem, to take the Passover meal with them. It was here on a solemn occasion, that Jesus told them He must soon die. That it was God's will that He give His life for His friends. He drank wine and broke bread with them, and told them, to remember Him when they did this from that time forward, to be reminded of His death and His promise to come again to take His own to a place He was going to prepare for them.

Later that night He spent time in the garden of Gethsemane to pray with and seek comfort from the company of His Father. His prayer was ended by the clamor of swords and the shouts of angry men sent to arrest Him. Around midnight Jesus was arrested and sent to trial. On tramped up charges, the Jewish authorities tried the Lord in an illegal, night-time trial. They had Him beaten, spit upon, slapped, and humiliated Him. That was not enough, they wanted Him to die. In the early morning they carried Jesus to the Governor of Judea, Pontus Pilate. After hearing His case, Pilate could find no charge against Jesus, but the authorities of the Jews demanded the death of the man of Nazareth. Pilate had Him scourged, stripped, mocked, hoping that would appease the crowd, finally sending Him to Herod, where again He was beaten, and shamed. But, at last Pilate had to give in to the cry of the crowd, "Crucify Him, Crucify Him."

Sometime that Friday morning, Jesus was placed on a wooden cross and knees were sunk into Him arms, a cold nail was placed on his wrist and driven with force through skin and muscle, pinning Him to the cross. It was not those nails that held Him to the cross, nor was it the fear of the Roman swords, but it was His love for you and me. Hours of agony, unable to breath, pain that was unbearable, body moisture drained, taunts and jeers from the crowd, and worse, He became sin for you and I and His Father in Heaven forsook Him. Jesus died, yet in dying His power was proclaimed, the skies darkened and the dead walked, an earthquake split the temple and shook Jerusalem.

They buried Him before 6:00 that Friday and laid Him in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, the Jews insisted on a guard of soldiers to keep anyone from stealing the body. But on that Sunday morning, Jesus rose from the dead, the action of power that none can dispute came only from God the Father. He appeared to Mary, to Peter and the apostles later to 500 at one gathering. At last He stood on a hill and angels watched as He began to ascend into Heaven, as He rose, He said to his apostles, "Go everywhere and tell the good news." Jesus can be your Savior. He wants you to belong to Him. He gave His life for you. He promised to return again. When He returns He wants to take those who love and are obedient to His will to live with Him for all eternity. When He returns He will destroy and condemn to the fires of hell those who do not love Him or have not obeyed His will. Jesus can be your friend, a wonderful loving friend, or he can be the worse enemy you have in all eternity. He wants to help you.

It is not only outrageous that congregations refer to church leaders as daddy, father in the lord, papa etc, it is also biblically wrong. Going through the Matthew 23, you could feel how Jesus felt about was such mentality.
In that verse one would understand that the scribes and Pharisees (Religion leaders) of those can be likened to the pastors and preachers of today. Jesus encourage us to listen to them but avoid following after their footsteps. Jesus described how these supposed men of God bind heavy burden on men's shoulder but they themselves will not bear the same Matthew 23:3
In verse 15, He describes how they would go any length to win a convert but would later make him twofold sinful than before. This set of people Jesus said would sow large ceremonious garments like the bishops robes, also sit on the important seats and ascribe to themselves positions in the synagogues/churches.
More outrageous is how they don't reject to be termed as fathers in the lord, daddy, papa etc. Jesus point it clearly in Matthew 23: 8 that don't allow the congregation to call you pastor or teacher or master or father but he that is greatest should rather be the servant. Jesus declare woe on them because they love to be respected and honored. They enjoy people calling them father. "Be ye not be called rabbi, for one is your master, even Christ, and all ye are brethren". "Call no man your father upon the earth, for one is your father which is heaven"
Jesus made us to understand that these pastors continually shut up the kingdom of heaven agaisnt men through their terrific doctrines instead of preaching repentance and acceptance and salvation through Christ Jesus. The Lord Jesus refer to them as the blind guides.
Though Jesus may not be talking directly to the pastors of today, but any fellow with a sound would grab the message in relation to what's happening today.
This supposed men of God has put so much yoke on sinners. They've corrupted Jesus teachings so much that non believers find it very hard to believe anything about Christianity anymore. Jesus was not a complicated man, He was a friend of sinners and touts. He said in His word that the one who needs healing is the sick I.e the sinners.
Pastors need to stop the prosperity teachings and focus more on the salvation of the soul. Men can only be rich through hardworking and diligent not just church going. The burden they put on people are too much. You have no business with Jesus works if all you do is teach ways to achieve prosperity or the type that enjoy being called pastors or daddy.
Let's be cautioned. God is not mocked.
