Hey guys... For those in the pool, I'm sure you must have gotten the email from IRCC stating that 'regular' rounds of invitation will begin from next week.
So, for those worried about the high cut-off from the last draw, It was specifically for people that already have a PNP. I had mentioned this earlier...
I believe the number of ITAs will continue to increase and the cut-off will drop in the next few rounds.
All the best everyone! Stay hopeful... |

For those traveling soon that got deals to JFK or IAD... 'cheapflights.com.ng' has got great deals for local flights in the US and they bill in Naira.
I bumped into it just now while trying to book my flight from Washington to Atlanta. Got a deal for N18k.
In my bid to keep giving back, this is a big breather for everyone here...
All the best guys! |

What's your itinerary? I just tried using cheapflights.com.ng and realized they charge in Naira for local flights within the US. Got a one way ticket from JFK to Washington for as low at N30k (One way). This might work for you and every others here... All the best! semilore12: @chloe7 @Hopesprings @chibertha @TeeteeK...I appreciate all responses. so I sent my reservation to my friend in US with my access bank card details and still no luck. Immediately she selected nigeria as the billing address, it gave an error that the search should be done in country of residence. Unfortunately naija is not on the list for that when trying to search....serious headache. Who has another idea on how to book local flight again abeg, help a sis. |

Yea... Could be quite hectic if you're traveling alone. But in all of this, the aim to save as much as possible. I will advice you go for the direct flight if you can afford it comfortably, though the prices might drop further later in the year. Good luck! boluwagin: Thank boldinc! But wouldn't it be penny wise... considering if it a night arrival flight and I have to stay in an hotel till the next day or an early departure flight which means I have to be in Washington a day before also the luggage stress with a baby as I will be alone? I saw the direct for 560k but I was hoping to get something cheaper. |

Just found a ticket with Egypt Air to New York sometime in January to Mid February for N299k...
You can go to their website and play around with dates and maybe get the deal for a date that suits you. You can get a local flight to your final destination.
Just helping out guys... |

Qatar has a flight to Washington from 17th January - 30th March for 369k and next cheapest is Ethiopian Airline with 420k. You can get a local ticket from there to Dallas. Direct flight to Dallas is About 560k. The layover is quite long for Qatar tho, so you can give it a shot if you won't mind... boluwagin: Hello Mama's in the house!
I have been hunting for cheap ticket to Dallas Mid January till March ending and I have decided the DIY way but nothing encouraging so far...please any help will be appreciated! Thanks |

Number is the correct narration... t405: Hello house,
My understanding of this item is in 2ways and I would like some clarity pls.
I) the number of years of work experience the applicant has spent working in Canada OR
2) the number of years of work experience the applicant has worked in any country but must be in the NOC categories recongnised in Canada's labour market.
Opinions pls, especially from those that have scaled beyond this step.
Thanks a lot. |

Anyone planning to travel Mid January, willing to depart on the 17th? I was checking around for a flight for myself and bumped into a good deal, compared to other airlines at the moment that are well over N400k... There's a Qatar Flight to IAD for N369k.
The layover in quite long and not sure if it comes with a free night stay at a hotel... I feel its worth checking out. |

My wife is the principal applicant and our score was 444 until I sat for the IELTS test and that added an extra 20 points to it... You stand a chance if you apply via one of the PNPs or if by some miracle, the CRS cut off crashed in your favor. sensisosu: you mentioned you have 464.. how did you increase your crs score? |

I do not think you have another way out. If your supervisor / Manager can write the letter on the company letter headed paper, that would have been an easier option. Otherwise, HR is the only way to go... But if you have gotten ITA, why not just let them know your plans or you plan to come back to work there shortly? Either way, they would need to be privy to the info... megababajo: Hello House,
Please I need advice on employment reference letter.
I really do not want to tell my HR about my immigration plans for obvious reasons. My Manager is OK writing but she said she won't write on the Company Letterhead (i.e. only on plain paper). I guess the HR can give a letter but it will be a generic letter and will not have the required details.
Please what is the way out? |

Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 9:18am On Nov 22, 2016 |
Using your info, the CRS score actually comes out to be 429 and not 438... If you re-write your IELTS and aim for 8.5,8,7.5,7.5 LRSW, your score would go up to - 441. Now here's the part I do not get... (Maybe @dupyshoo or @vcole could help) the Master's option says "Master's degree or professional degree needed to practice in a licensed organization"... Does this mean Nursing falls into this category? Cos that could bump the score to 469 with your IELTS result. But overall, a better IELTS result would do you a lot of good and kinda guarantee you an ITA immediately. sensisosu: I AM SINGLE, 27 YEAR OLD, A BACHELOR DEGREE HOLDER IN NURSING WITH 3 YEAR WORK EXPERIENCE. I HAVE 8,7.5,7,7 IN LRSW. THE WAY IT IS I HAVE FULLY EXHAUSTED ALL MY OPTIONS. I AM WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY MEANS TO INCREASE MY POINT, OR CAN I GO AHEAD WITH MY CRS SCORE OF 438?
PLEASE ADVICE |

Your WES report is the score allocated to your education history... What did you score in IELTS? Maybe a re-write would help you get more points. sensisosu: Hello house,
I am confused, I am stucked with a 438 CRS score..
I would like to find out if WES REPORT gives additional point to my CRS Score..?
Please help a brother |

Thanks vcole... I would wait and observe the trend on the next few weeks. vcole: Hi. I really would not advise the option of taking yourself off the EE profile because of 6 marks. 464 is not a bad score and you just may get an ITA with it. Losing 5 marks would put you at 459 which may seem like a low score because of the trend over the past 6 months or so, but if you study the EE draws for 2015 into 2016, you would notice that at some point, crs scores drop. So, 459 could still get you an ITA. I am not quite conversant with the procedure for a spousal visa post PR status but I do know that it takes a while. |
