no logical answers.... Of all the things in the world to ask God, why would i want to ask a question that has obvious answers. I know why some people are poor and some are rich. And there is no statistical data showing "evil" people (whatever that means) live longer that good people. What i would like to ask is, why place a damning tree in close proximity of "children". |

booqee: I keep wondering why did God even create the tree of life in the garden of Eden in the first place if He didn't want man to sin..
Some say its intentional... if it is, why was He so displeased to the extent of placing a curse on them...
He created us as man.. not as gods or heavenly creatures.. so of course he was easy and prone to falling for temptation.. so I assumed He knew from the start while creating him, that man would fall by eating the forbidden fruit...
so why bother creating it and then cursing man when it is believed He knew he would fall.. (that's the part that makes it look unfair) .. its similar to setting a concealed trap right in front of us..
I'm confused honestly ..
contributions are welcome I have no problem with him creating the tree of life. My problem is why place it where it can easily accessed? My only conclusion is there was not enough space in heaven. Also, since he knows everything that will happen before it happens, why let satan roam around in the garden knowing full well that he was going to tempt adam and eve? Lastly, why allow me be born in Nigeria? Even mexico would have been better. |

UI looked nicer in the 1950's and 60's. That was when govt did not have too many unis to run. Now...there are too many of them....and limited cash to run them. You are mistaken. It is not more funds they need. They are in need of some serious education and orientation in asset management and maintenance. Not just them but every single Nigerian in Nigeria. It is no coincidence that every public infrastructure is in a dilapidated state. The weird part is Nigerians do not realize that disregarding maintenance has a domino effect. Power and gas provision are two examples that comes to mind. Nigerians cannot maintain a university hostel but expect to maintain the effective distribution of fuel and electricity. OK. Family › Re: 8 avoidable excuses people use as reasons for divorce. by Bollinger(m): 6:44pm On Apr 09, 2016 |
Toks2008: Malachi 2:16:“For I hate divorce!”says the Lord, the God of Israel.
"I want a divorce" is a word that tend to be common when it seems one of the two married couple wants to opt out of an affair and it has become a regular lyrics in many homes but the question i tend to ask is this: Is divorce always the solution?
Today i want us to look at 8 lies and propaganda surrounding these words:
1.Irreconcilable differences: This is the funniest excuse ever because most of what people complain about have always been there but because they believed he or she will change, they went into the marriage just to get disappointed when the person refuses to change.
As long as you are two different entities, there will always be.Even twins from the same womb has differences. The problem is that when a couple decides to have a deaf and dumb affair, irreconcilable differences will never be reconciled but if you can learn to be very observant even before you say i do,i guess most irreconcilable differences would have been resolved. If you like change spouse a million times, there will always be irreconcilable differences and until you learn the act of tolerance i guess you should just stay clear from marriage.
2.Infidelity: I know many people will wonder if there is a lie about this but what you are about to read will shock you/
As a man i really don't see any need to divorce a "repentant" wife who commits the act of adultery especially a woman you love because of what use will it be if you divorce her against all odds and you bring in another woman who might even be worse than her and does it make sense to push a woman you love away into the waiting hands of an irresponsible randy man? Yes Jesus instructs that a man divorces his wife on teh condition of adultery but he also preached about forgiveness. The act of sex is not all there is to marriage so i guess guys should just give the wife another chance and only divorce an unrepentant adulteress.
As a lady i am happy to be the one to tell you that there is no where in the bible that suggests that a wife divorce her husband because of adultery. Yes many bible scholars have accepted that the Bible is not gender specific and wherever "he" is mentioned,it also refers to she but definitely not in this case and i want us to read together right from the start of Jesus speech.
Matthew 19:8
"8He said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but from the beginning it has not been this way. 9“And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”
3.Ill luck: Some men can be so myopic. Yes we know this is a dark continent where crazy spells are casted on some men but most times, men are the architect of their own failure and they readily put the blame on the wife as the one responsible for their bad luck especially when the man seems to be doing so well before meeting the lady. This is indeed a very funny mindset and men should stop this odoriferous act. Even if you marry a witch or ogbanje, love and cherish her and she will use those powers to help you rather than destroy you.
4.Family troubles: I have heard of many divorce cases because of this and i kept asking why will a amn or woman use this as an excuse for divorce? In any marriage it is you and your spouse before anything and as long as both of you are good, every other factor remains secondary.
5.Interference by spiritualists: Any one who tries to divorce a spouse because one pastor said they are not meant for each other, such person should be sent to evil forest to be eaten by wild animals. Some ladies have fallen prey to many false prophets, imams and pastors in the name of seeking spiritual help where they are told rubbish about their spouse and they just believe like fools. They will suddenly tell you your wife is a witch or your hubby is evil and before you know it,they are done just to remarry and experience real evil marriage.
6.Childlessness:This is a very unfortunate one that has destroyed many marriages but the truth is that this is no longer a biggy in today's world but you should rather explore many options available and pray for finance or solicit for funds if needs be so that you can have a successful assisted conception rather than try another partner out of frustration and risking being the father of another man's child or the lady having an embarrassing child outside her marriage. With prayers and decisive steps by you,a child will definitely come in no time.
7.Finance:This is one big issue that has destroyed many homes and will destroy even more. Many ladies put money first before true affection and if the money is no more, apparently they have no need staying in the marriage anymore. And some go into marriage with high expectation that the man will make a headway within an expected period of time and as time passes and this expectation is not met,the lady becomes so frustrated and starts to hate the man and start comparing him with his rich mates even when he is so loving and caring. This has made me conclude that the best thing any lady can do to avoid this possible frustration is to love a man in a condition that will not frustrate her in years to come even if the man does not get better and they should also strive to be financially independent but pray for a better situation and not just marry a rich man or a struggling man with a die hard hope that he will make it big in no time.
8.Domestic violence:In my world, this is the only logical reason for divorce because i will never advice a lady or a man to stay in a marriage that may send him or her to an untimely death but let us wait a sec and ask this frank question:"Is domestic violence preventable"?in most cases the answer is an emphatic YES. Ladies are more at the receiving end but If every lady can learn to be very very calm and silent during any form of crazy argument by the man,i believe the case of domestic violence will not come up.Some women can make an angel beat them up with their parrot mouth but nevertheless no man should raise his hands to beat a woman except he is a beast that deserves to be in the jungle.
I believe that in most cases when people opt for a divorce, they are actually looking for flimsy excuses to be with a new partner but after a period of time with the new partner, they tend to realize that there will always be a reason to divorce anyone we have in our lives no matter how perfect they seem to be at the begining.
For people who insist on divorce i always wonder that If you can't make your first marriage work then what is the assurance that you will maintain the second one if same problem crops up? Staying married to one partner is not about feelings but a conscious decision we must make.
Hope this epistle makes sense. E be like say Toks don de get sense small small. Dis na the first post wey e go write wey i no go get too much to disagree with except number 7 " FINANCES". All over the world, finance is the number one reason couples divorce. Being financially responsible is key to a happy marriage. I had to learn that quickly early on in life. You need to be able to manage you funds maturedly and have a nice nest for the future. It is advisable for couples to see a financial planner as soon as they can. |

Like I said earlier, I used to have the same mindset as you. Why is it that it is only people who are going through economic hardship that believe that a higher power will save them? Meanwhile, countries with "sinners", and people with no respect for their "elders" are doing so much better in every and all things. Car Talk › Re: How To Avoid Truck Accidents by Bollinger(m): 2:03pm On Apr 09, 2016 |
AutosBay: Avoiding Truck Accidents
The safest way to pass any truck is on a straight patch of road and as quickly as possible. Bumps in the road, heavy winds, shifting cargo and other factors can all cause a truck to move into your lane unexpectedly. This can cause an accident that is not necessarily the truck driver's fault.
Truck drivers are specially trained to handle the large vehicles they drive and do their best to avoid accidents with regular vehicles. When a truck is in an accident with another vehicle though, it is usually the other driver's fault. Many of these accidents occur because drivers don't know how to properly share the road with a truck.
To that end, here are some tips to remember when dealing with truck traffic:
1. Never drive in front of a truck and slow down or apply the brakes abruptly. Trucks require a lot more stopping distance than cars and cannot make evasive lane changes as quickly either. When you apply your brakes, make sure there isn't a truck close behind you, as most truck drivers will choose to rear-end you rather than cause a worse accident by swerving into another lane.
2. Never pass a truck on the right hand side. It is illegal to do so in most places and for a good reason. The right sides of most trucks have a large blind spot that can easily obscure a full-sized car. Should a truck driver make a right hand turn or lane change, it won't be until your car is getting crushed that the driver will realize you are there. This sort of accident is easily preventable by only passing trucks on the left.
3. Always give a truck sufficient time and space to execute a turn. The larger the truck, the more time and space it needs to complete a turn. Most trucks make wide turns and trying to make the same turn before them can easily cause an accident.
4. Always make it as easy as possible for a truck to pass you. This means moving over into another lane if a truck is coming up behind you. It is easier and safer for a car to make a lane change than a truck. If you can't or don't wish to match the truck's speed, get out of its way!
Also, when a truck wishes to change into your lane, slow down slightly and flash your high-beams twice to let the truck driver know it is okay to make the lane change. This gesture is truly appreciated by professional truck drivers. They will almost always do the same for you.
5. Do not tailgate a truck! Drivers of regular cars that rear-end a large truck can easily die if their car goes under the truck's strong bumper. This type of accident is easily avoided by not tailgating.
6. Always remember to maintain your car's visibility when near a truck. Your car should always be visible in the mirrors of the truck or the risk of an accident increases dramatically. If you are not in the scope of the truck's mirrors, then the driver cannot see you.
7. Use your common sense. The larger vehicle always has the right of way! Do not try to battle a truck for position on any road or street. You and your car will always lose. Furthermore, no one likes it when another vehicle tries to bully its way past.
8. When stopped in traffic, always maintain a distance of a few feet from the rear bumper of a truck. Most trucks have manual shift transmissions and oftentimes roll backward slightly when their brakes are released to begin accelerating. A truck may roll back significantly when starting up a hill and if the front of your car is hit by a backwards-rolling truck, you only have yourself to blame.
9. Never park directly behind a truck. Most truck drivers usually check behind their trucks before backing up but some don't. If you do not leave a truck enough room to back up and exit its parking space, well, don't be surprised if the front of your car is damaged upon your return.
By keeping these simple driving tips in mind, not only will you reduce your risk of being involved in an accident with a truck but you'll also create a safer and more courteous driving environment for all road users.
http://www.topspeedracer.com/avoiding-truck-accidents.html Agreed. But no matter how many fail safes you put in place, if the truck drivers don't know what they are doing or their vehicles are not road worthy, there will always be accidents. As is the case in Nigeria. |

At the station while making statement, another person came and reported that the same group took his car, he described the car they came with, which matched my cars descritption. His own car, Lexus RX 350, has tracker and security, but before 20mins they disconnected everything at Obigbo, which was the last place the car was tracked.
To cut the long story short, I can't count the number of people that kept praying and encouraging me. Even after posting it on NL, more people joined, calling and praying, bringing suggestions, a guy even called me all the way from UK, just to encourage me.

5, Please never in your life steal or cheat anybody. The trauma is not worth experiencing .

Whoever that did this, I have forgiven you.
