Way to go! You don't issue death or beating threats to people just because you have a phone and Internet access. People won't realize how risky it is until you threaten to kill someone on social media and the person dies a natural death few hours later. You will spend your whole life trying to convince the world that your hands are clean. angry but you will have to do that from behind bars... grin

All of una wey dey threaten me for here, I go report una to Nairaland Commissioner of Police angry

It's LadyF again guys *muahhh grin grin grin
There is a difference here. When I threaten you it is public service. I am trying to help the public by deterring you from further polluting us with your infantile and depraved mentality.
Romance › Re: The Major Reason Why Many Ladies Remain Single For A Long Time. by Bollinger(m): 3:30am On Apr 15, 2016
Xiadnat:
That's right! I am still single because I have high expectations. Not for the man though, but for myself.

I once dated (and engaged) to a doctor who earned over 200k with a beach house, and another tri-level home in a wealthy part of city and who could give me the 'world' with just a smile as he put it.

Guess what? I decided I rather struggle and become my own "doctor". Instead of wearing a t-shirt that says "I married a doctor", I decided to wear "I am a doctor". Damnit.

Now, If I saw a future with him, maybe that would be a different case. But, I did not. But, anyway, I am a girl of different breed--more like the masculine side of me. I did not want to marry until i had something to offer or contribute or at least feel financially and (satisfactorily) ready.

However, it is a different story tho in many parts of the world where women have very little to no other options BUT to seek and marry a wealthy fellow, or at least one with sustainable source of income.
Your story is flawed. So, because you wanted to be a doctor you broke off an engagement. You did not break off the engagement because you wanted to be a doctor. You broke it off because you did not love him.

Don't get ahead of yourself, girlie.
What do you mean you have nothing to glean? I just educated you that blaming osibanjo's daughter for whatever crime you concocted is not the way Normal people do business. See why I have to spend some time with you?

Why would I complain? If you're honestly on vacation, you should drop your tech and focus on your wife and sons. They'd appreciate the attention. Or have breakfast or something.

Unless you enjoy this exchange because you think it annoys me.
Wait you still blaming osibanjo's daughter? She is not an elected public Officer so she cannot be held accountable for anything. There. Another lesson learnt.

The feeling about posts is mutual. As you can see, I had nothing good to say about yours.

So far you play the high moral ground and though aged you are *#$@%&. At your age you go on like a teenage girl. Or a pre-teen. The worst part is that you're guilty of more than half of what you condemn.

I couldn't read your entire post, but rest assured I know it's got nothing of substance in it. Your mind and thoughts are not enlightening. Your words have no iota of mass.

Have a lovely day. And remember, whatever makes you sleep at night.
Lol...i am on vacation so I have enough time to educate you. Also, you constantly respond but complain when your response receives a reply grin. Funny. Lastly, think long and hard about the things you say before you say it; you can never take it back.

Tellemall:
A brief scan of your posts shows you are carrying a beam in your eye while looking for specks in mine.

Are you successful? After all your checking? Because you don't seem to check.

And honestly, you must enjoy this long drawn conversation, because through it all, there's never been a reason for you to bring up any of the things you did

A statement on children knowing the doings of their parents brought you to the point of propounding a hypothesis. Very unnecessary. Then a simply statement: whatever makes you sleep at night had you trying to explain to me that you always sleep with a good conscience and woke up 2hrs ago. Extremely unnecessary. Then now some babble on success and checking things? Terrific. It's a case.

I have no idea how old you may be, but if you've been married for 15 years, I'll place you at a minimum of 35. In that case I guess I can pardon your rather unconventional means of taking in simple statements. Maybe that statement wasn't around that long ago. Who knows.

Anyway. Whatever makes you sleep at night.
Wow!!! Thank you very much for taking the time to browse through my posts. I must be making an impact. I highly suggest to keep reading, your mind will expand tremendously. I on the other hand will not do same because based on the conversation so far, it would not yield any benefit to my intellect. It probably would dull my mind. Another suggestion; making summarised snippets of my post does not do justice. Quote my responses in full. Thank you. Obviously you are young so you don't understand the things you say or do. There is no such thing as a simple statement. Words have gravity. The sooner you learn this, the better for you. You don't go about making generalising remarks and not expect a rebuttal. Playing the victim only identifies a weak mind. I hope you are learning something today?

I'm not responsible for what you think. Or how you interpret anything you please to.

Whatever makes you sleep at night. You don't have to tell me anything about your nights. Why? Because I do not care. A simple statement needs validation by you. Sad.

I suppose you think you've got long term memory? I suppose you thought before you typed right? For a man, you drag issues out and like to take the moral high ground. But all I hear from your end is an empty barrel.
The reason you think i drag issues is because you don't think about what you say or do before you do it. There are ramifications to words and actions. Sad that you don't realize this. Yes, I think long and hard before i make statements. Why? Because i can never take it back. It's called checking your work. You need to learn this to be successful.

On the one hand you condemn jungle justice, on the other hand you concede Nigeria is lawless. Is sitting on the fence your second nature?
Maybe in Nigeria, but in normal societies, two wrongs don't make a right. The road to recovery in Nigeria is to begin to do things the right way. Due process is a term that is alien to Nigerians. This one of the main reasons Nigeria is so lawless. Everyone is judge, jury and executioner.

I don't think you do. Fact that you have to announce it decreases the chances of you actually doing so.
You are mistaken. I woke up two hours ago fully refreshed and good to go for the day. You brought up the issue of sleep. See why i said you need to take into account what you write? You cannot take it back once you do. I think you have short term memory; you forget as soon as you say or do something.

I'm not debating if she should do something about it or not.

My initial comment was on the fact that everybody seems to think her statement is so diplomatic and that she cannot possibly know or be blamed for her father's deeds/misdeeds.

I simply mentioned that no child doesn't know what it's parents are up to.

No need for you to go scrutinizing a situation that I never proposed. Your thought process is not allowing you to see my initial post.
Then you need to be careful how to articulate yourself. Saying she knows what her father is up to implies she is culpable. You say i am scrutinizing a situation that you never proposed, but you forget that by your words you already proposed it. "nuff said.

Tellemall:
I voted neither.

In the face of somebody criticizing her, people instantly go to her defense. But, honestly, she doesn't know what her father is up to?
Let's say hypothetically her father is "up to something" as you say, what do you want her to do about it? Can you give verifiable instances what family members of political office holders have done to their relatives who were "up to something"? Your thought process is that of a man who want's to punish a child for the perceived sins of the father. If you had voted for her i would be in total support, but she is not holding any political office so your aggression is misplaced.

What you have suggested is the reason the woman did what she did. This mentality of jungle justice is destroying Nigeria. Nigeria is such a lawless country.

She doesn't know? Really?

I think you are ridiculous.

So she doesn't know what goes on in her family? She thinks her father is a saint because he's the Veep? Now, there is no child who doesn't know what their parents are up to.
You might want to revise your logic. Did you vote her into public Office or her fathers?

that to some ladies is enough achievement, enough to green with envy cheesy plus she was once a beauty queen too wink
And if you look at her mum, you will know she is really young.
And majority of the haters are definitely women cheesy I mean, she is 26 done with sch, married with 2 kids cool some women will kill for that believe me,
She has achieved quite a lot for a 26 year old NIGERIAN women
You are right. For a Nigerian. But for someone in another country, it is a thin line between slavery and freedom. When you say that some women consider being married to a rich man an achievement, then you wonder why Nigerian women are used and treated like slaves. A man will marry a woman and the word marriage will mean nothing. He can decide to wake up one morning and leave the woman and she would want to hang on as if she is hanging on to a life vest. Why, because they are not independent. Sad.

Celebrities › Re: Adaeze Yobo Fires Back At Fans Who Say She's Lying About Her Age by Bollinger(m): 11:12pm On Apr 13, 2016
amokeme:
These days, people expecially girls grow older or bigger than their age. Take a look at the kids born in the 1990s 91 2 3 4 5 6............ They all look older than their age,
And I'm sure some people here have siblings that are 15 but look 20 or 21, so we shouldn't judge abeg. Like some months back, my aunt was insulting a lady just cause the lady said she is 20 and my aunt felt she is more.I just told her " mummy ×××× look at your daughter, she is just 17 and she is even looking way older than this lady here and even yourself. Who will believe xxxx is just 17huh" She felt embarrassed but it was the truth. Iv seen 16year olds looking like they are in their early 20s (different factors contribute to this, like food, body development and makeup)

Another reason why I feel people don't believe the age of others is Achievement.
You will agree with me that in Nigeria, it takes looooong to achieve something reasonable or something you can be proud of for most people. Now people that fall into this category find it hard to believe someone very young has achieved what they are still struggling to achieve (media recognition especially ) so when they hear you are in your 20s they just see it as impossible. It's some sort of default.
Theses days? Really? It always been like that. Women mature faster than men. It's a fact. Also, she has not achieved anything except marry a rich guy. cool
