SportsRe: Babayaro Makes Fresh Case For Iheanacho’s Inclusion In Super Eagles by bong4(m): 2:08pm On Sep 21, 2014
Pedagogue: Keshi has performed creditably well as Super Eagles' Coach.

Before his appointment, our boys were far from Super. Winning the AFCON and getting to the Second Round stage of the World Cup are to his eternal credits...
But wait a minute, what happened after the nations cup? Keshi RESIGNED.What happened after the World Cup? Keshi RESIGNED!!!
To 'resign' means to 'LEAVE'.
Thus, Keshi's heart effectively left his position as d Super Eagles Coach after the Nations Cup. You don't believe?Recall that his resignation after the World Cup was principally because of the juicy contracts he thought he would get...But alas, NONE came his way!!! He had to quickly DENY that he 'concretely' resigned!!!He had no option but to settle for what was available- Super Eagles job!

Although this thread is not about Keshi, the truth is,the future of IHEANACHO & other budding stars depends heavily on who is in the saddle. Therefore, permit to state that:

1. We have a coach that selects players based on his personal sentiments; he does not care if the collective will of Nigerians is sacrificed for his EGO.
2. Keshi is not a good manager of men. A coach that has problems with several players is not a fantastic coach; it is v ironical that Keshi that now 'believes' so much in discipline was highly indisciplined in his playing days.
3. A thorough analysis of all our games after the Nations Cup will reveal that our players are no longer playing for him. Our games against Congo & S/Africa are clear pointers.
4. Keshi lost the script the moment he allowed the victory at AFCON to get to his head. His ego has tripled since then. He now expects players to kowtow to him.
5. Introducing the likes of Iheanacho will definitely unsettle the 'big boys' in d National team- especially MIKEL ObI. Keshi does not want that.
6. If Keshi had to be forced by the collective shouts by soccer mad Nigerians to invite Osaze (who was our best player at the world cup), IHEANACHO may perhaps never play for d Super Eagles as long as he's our gaffer.

Believe me, Keshi is still our coach cos he has has not received any better offer. His passion for our team is clearly dead. Someone needs to start from where Keshi has stopped.

you said it all. Not only ihenacho but every member of the current u20 plus their coach. Keshi should go. But that won't happen except we don't qualify for the nation's cup and i see that happening.

EllaD101: They deserve it. How I wish am a doctor.
don't mind them. The doctors deserve it. Have we asked ourselves what work the senators do to deserve the unpublished jumbo pay which includes huge medical allowances while a medical doctor takes #5k as hazard. Are we crazy in this country? This is not d end of strikes. As long as political leaders take home such undeserved pay while our institutions remain moribun, strikes as this will continue.

fellis: Our govt is too self centered if not they would have put measures in place to stop infected pple entering the country. it's only luck that can save anyone now.
yesterday i heard how the us govt refused entry to 3 liberian ministers and gave one diplomatic reason for that. Within me i know Ebola is the main reason but it was not mention. Nigeria will stupidly be doing big brother until madness comes upon us. By right all countries identified as Ebola infected should be blacklisted even if it is football match. I suspect that man was on a mission. He knew or rather they knew he had this disease yet was allowed to travel. What is the meaning of WASH consultant? Which ministry of finance is he working for? Nigeria or Liberia? May God help us from mediocrity.

Chief, i appreciate your remarks and google link. But do you think this your elitist mentality is for every body? How will those in the village with no access to internet and this education you claim to have even pronounce the preimplantation jargons you just recommended here? You think it is just walking into a chemist shop and getting panadol for headache. We need personal recommendation for a brother in distress and you are here recommending grammar. I know how much my sister spent in getting IVF and other medication to solve this problem all to know avail. Even the anxiety alone will not allow for ovulation. If that money was put into alternative uses, it could have been better. As if the OP has the time and money for all this grammer. Abeg i won't advice any one to put his or herself into undue stress. Obedience is better than sacrifice. If God has given us wisdom to avoid disaster, let us simply obey. Love may be blind but in marriage we have to open our eyes.

you can pass your comments or give a solution without being insultive. Please tell us the way out. Google may not give you over the counter solution and please in cases like this, personal experience is much more appreciated and convincing than academic theories or research. My personal experience wasn't fun others may have been lucky so if you have a ''100% and always working solution'' you and nairaland just might be a saviour to someone.

my dear op. Listen very well but you can make your decision. Obedience is better than sacrifice. I have lost two nieces in three years to sickle cell. It's no joke seeing kids die before you and there's nothing you can do. If you love yourselves, you'l want a healthy family. It can be stressful going on and out of hospital cos you were thinking of just yourselves. You'l only be doing panic and fear prayer. Let yourselves go. If you still choose to follow your heart.....i pray you still have cause to thank God tomorrow. Love.

PoliticsRe: Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola Profile by bong4(m): 8:31pm On Jul 11, 2014
FrankC3: Not that I am very interested in this issue, but this your argument is not really making much sense to me. If Aregbesola completed his OND/HND and earned the qualification that comes with it, why did he not declare it as his highest academic qualification? Is it not clear to you that the only reason why ANYONE at all, including Aregbesola and Nwoye and any other person will present a lower certificate to INEC is because he could be afraid of the legal and future political implication of presenting a document he never 'really earned'?

If Aregbesola has a higher degree than WAEC, he should present it to the electorates, it is their right to know. If he can't do so, then people are right to reinforce the conclusion of INEC that WAEC is his highest qualification, if he likes, he can be an MIT PhD holder.

I personally see nothing wrong with a WAEC holder contesting for high offices, after all, my technicians often leave me in awe of their skills and grit and they have just C&G. I will start having issues with them, just I am having with Aregbesola fans around here, when they start telling me that the papers they presented as their highest academic qualification for employment is not really their highest qualification, and instead of showing me their latest or highest qualification, they start telling me about how they have run their family and business successfully and how they have gathered all awards and membership from NASA and MOSSAD.
my brother, i think we should be tired of paper qualification but performance. We have alot of MBAs, ICANs etc mismanaging our economy. How many mechanical engineers can differentiate between an injector or carburetor. Don't judge a man only by what he is but also by what he has done.

PoliticsRe: Omisore Accepts Open Debate With Aregbesola by bong4(m): 12:10pm On Jul 09, 2014
Neyoor: Let's hear them out to tell us what they have for us. I remembered how Ogbeni Aregbesola stick to his promises for we people of Osun. I heard him when he said it in his campaign den that ;I'll employ 20,000 workers within my 1st hundred days in Office and I'll make Education free for the people of Osun state just as Awolowo did.

To God be the Glory, Ogbeni Aregbesola employed 20,000 youths for his youth empowerment scheme, though he is paying them lesser money but half a bread is better than none.

Ogbeni Aregbesola made Education easy for people of Osun state by mandating it that no Secondary or Primary school student must pay a kobo in school again, even PTA money has been eradicated plus free meal, free tablet, free Uniform he is offering them.

I will be glad to see him promising us better things in his 2nd tenure if Elected and as for Omisore even with all his qualifications, all he knows is too eat two corns at a time
Free Tablet? Bros tell us another thing.

At least, we know where private missionary universities get the funds to establish their schools. Tell me where Atiku, IBB, Obasanjo and their like got money to establish theirs?
EducationRe: Most Expensive Universities In Nigeria (2014) by bong4(m): 4:09pm On Jul 06, 2014
Apatheist: Am I lying? huh
My dear let us face fact, these private schools don't receive a dime from government. They can only be maintained by what's generated within. Remember they have professors and doctors on their payroll and you wouldn't want to hear of a prof earning 10k to 20k because you are a missionary school and fees must be low. The truth remains, the way public schools are even increasing their fees (oau of recent), if government subvention is removed, their school fees will be higher. As 'low' as unilag school fees is, how many people can afford? If Govt and university administrators manage our education resources well, no one will go to private universities.
By the way, how secure is abti america university in yola that boko haram hasn't paid them a courtesy visit?
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs France World Cup (0 - 2) On 30th June 2014 by bong4(m): 8:18pm On Jun 30, 2014
Audio Rage: Anyway, now that the dust is settling a bit, let me just make these points before I leave this site permanently:

How We Can Move Forward From Here:

1. I think Keshi SHOULD remain out coach:
Yes, I said it. He should remain our coach for the next 4 years. Regardless of what anyone says, I think he's the man for this job. He's taken us places we haven't been in a very long time - Nations Cup victory, World Cup knock-out stages, etc. He should retain his post and further build our team, develop the much-needed cohesion, and build discipline.

2. Foreign technical strategists should be employed:
No, I'm not saying we need Berti Vogts or any new coach for that matter; I'm saying we need some foreign technical advisers with experience from different parts of the country - Netherlands, South America, The Middle East, etc - who can help Keshi is devising plans against different teams with different styles of play, because Keshi can't do it all on his own. He seems to have Africa on lockdown, but he's not all-knowing when it comes to games involving European teams. We need technical advisers who can help us counter Tiki-Taka, Total Voetbol, Samba, etc. It's very important.

3. Now that Yobo has achieved his caps, can he be done away with already? Mikel too. As a matter of fact, I think it's time to do away with our old legs - Mikel, Yobo, Shola Ameobi and the likes. I believe these guys have nothing more to offer.

4. The era of giving preferential treatment to players simply because they play for some 'big team' in England has to be done away with. Costa Rica has shown us you don't need big names to win, so I fail to see why a complete nonentity like Mikel should be treated like a big deal especially when he isn't. The guy is a total waste. We should scan the globe for our willing players, and it shouldn't matter what country you play for. Imagine a dumb bench-warmer like Mikel starting for us just because he's listed in Chelsea.

Follow these points above, and we'll have a flawless team.

I still have faith in the Super Eagles.
Good bless Keshi.

So long, Nairaland.

PoliticsRe: Kwankwaso Declares President Jonathan Incompetent by bong4(m): 1:06pm On Jan 10, 2014
chika.chike86:
Kwankwaso got it all wrong by basing his criticism of the GEJ administration on his inability to allocate more funds to the North. Personally, it would ve made more sense for him to challenge the present system of Government we are practising which has made it impossible for state to fully utilise their human and natural resources. The North are blessed with enormous natural and Human resource(Nasarawa state alone has almost 179 Natural mineral Resources), and the like of Kwankwaso should clamour for true federalism which would give them the opportunity to reach their full potential socio-economically . A Northerner being the president of Nigeria would not in anyway mitigate the High level of poverty and illiterary(lack of western education) in the North, rather true democracy would give them the leeway to develop economically, which would translate to an overall transformation of the region.
To cap it all, GEJ is not the reason for the under development in the North and other parts of the country, the system( which is akin to a military govt) should be held responsible. True federalism would bring Government closer to the people, and would in turn would make the seat of presidency in Aso Rock less enticing, and also it would propel people to understand the rudiments of Govt and as well to hold their leader accountable for any misgivings.
Having read all has been written to this point, i must say that the above quoted was written by a true and unbiased Nigerian.
