I need counsel on these waec subject combination as regards the course the fellow can study in the university (OAU, Ile Ife) to be precise.

Although his dad wants him to do pre degree so as not to be idle at home, he wants to also know the subject combination he can write in the next jamb exam.

You are a true Nigerian. God bless you. June 12 isn't about Abiola, it is about Nigerians who pit aside their differences and decided to pursue a common goal. Even when SDP presented a muslim-muslim ticket, Nigerians looked beyond that and voted for freedom.

You actually don't know what you just posted. Mayegun represents the last era of active student unionism in Nigeria unlike what obtains presently. This guy was detained side by side with Gani Fawehinmi and co. I don't know his political stand now but he also paid his dues in the June 12 struggle. Google is name and be enlightened.

I saw this plant on a post on face book sometime ago. The fellow called it "Akpuru". I guess that is Ibo and that it is a very rich source of blood supply. Please does anyone know how it is called in other languages especially Yoruba.

3rd class isn't the end of the world. For science inclined scholars You can do a PGD. Score an upper credit. Go for your Masters and then go straight to your Ph.D. All these can be in 7 years if your are determined.

Some prominent leaders from the North have assembled to kick President Muhammad Buhari out of office come 2019.

The plan, according to elder statesman, Tanka Yakassai, is to produce a more credible and acceptable presidential candidate from the region.

Some members of the movement are mainly retired military chiefs, former governors, ex-ministers, senators and other top public office holders.

Speaking with the Sun about the movement and the plan to sack the current administration, Yakasai dismissed the claim that the entire North are for Buhari, saying, “I don’t know how you came to that conclusion, because other aspirants are expressing their wish to contest, people are still aspiring.

“The question of someone becoming a consensus candidate for a whole area of the north does not make sense.

“In addition, the rule of multi party democracy, there will never be a consensus candidate anywhere in Nigeria or anywhere multi party is practiced. Otherwise the merit of multi party democracy is defeated.

“And that does not go with democracy if you come up with a consensus candidate. Consensus candidate means killing competition. Competition is the livewire of democracy.

“Those who are elected particularly at the presidential level owe their allegiance to the people who got them into office and not the voters. We want to change that narrative.

“We want the election in the future to be based on programme and manifesto, we want the election to be credible and through a verifiable process that would change the life of the people for the better.

“To do that, you have to come with your own programme and your own manifesto, not a manifesto written by hired Professors or Doctors because of their command of English that can impress people.

“Our focus is election related matters. We want our votes to have values. After an aspirant is selected, the person can now face us.

“We decided to visit all our former Heads of state who are of northern extraction. We wanted to visit first, former Head of state, General Gowon, unfortunately he was not in the country and we wrote a letter to his office to tell him about the emergence of the organization and he has not been back yet.

“As we were waiting for him, we had to go to Minna to see former Heads of state, Babangida and Abdulsalami. We found out that Abdulsalami traveled since January and would not come back soon but Babangida said he was around, we decided not to kill time but to go and speak to him.”

He assured that the group will also be meeting Obasanjo soon.

“We will do it. The programme is still on and you will hear from us. We decided to go to whoever is available. It was by sheer interest that we found Babangida available.

“Our plan was to start with General Gowon but he was not available, even Abdulsalami that we wanted to do with Babangida was not around,” he said.

According to the Sun, some of the prominent retired Generals on this mission include Gen. J.T Useni, Gen. John Temlong, Gen. India Garba, Gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi, Gen. E.T Nienge, Gen. Laurence Onoja, Gen. M.D Chong, Col. Habibu Shuaibu, Navy Commodore Isaac M. Mankilik, Commodore D.T Hinga, Commodore Mainasara B. Kaoje and Maj. Hassan Zara.

Former governors also drafted for the assignment include Alhaji Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa, Dr. Babangida Aliyu, Ibrahim Idris Wada, Barr. Ibrahim Shema, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, and Mr Boni Haruna. Ex-Ministers also involved include Dr. Bello Mohammed Haliru, Amb. Bagudu Hirse, Alhaji Muktari Shagari, Dr. Mohammed Shata, Sen. Bala Mohammed, Dr. Ibrahim Lame, and Engr. Mohammed Abba Gana.

I started respecting the Hausas after I saw a teacher teach Further Maths purely in Hausa language at a school in Hotoro.

It is not entirely bad but the question is, how many academic books are written in Hausa? Was the further maths textbook the teacher used written in Hausa? We shouldn't deprive these kids their right to full education. If people are made to learn French and other languages, then English shouldn't be a luxury. After all, many of the northern elites speak very good English, so why not extend same opportunities to the less privileged?

In fact ehnn!! This was the same analogy given to this video in my office this morning. Only that it was Yar Adua that handed over to Jonathan. At a point I thought it was all made up to spite Buhari, but even at that it was well played. The funniest part is that even the teacher couldn't catch up with him. My guy was just running back paying deaf ears to all the calls to retrace his steps. Buhari has really suffered.

My dear, even pronouncing this thing is twisting my tongue. Checking it out on google even shows that it is not a regular test that doctors recommend. I have two healthy kids and during the course to their birth, no doctor mentioned this. My wife and I are compatible and we did all the test recommended (genotype, rhesus etc) to ensure that.
It is not as easy as stated ooo. All the guy wants is a happy home for his brother.
My sister's late mother in law disliked her cos she and her husband went ahead to marry despite their incompatibility. Both of them are even medical doctors. All the ivf and this one you mentioned, I am sure they knew. They lost their first two daughters to sickle cell. God's Mercy kept them and they now have two healthy girls again. But I tell you, the first 12 years of that marriage wasn't complete without visits to the hospital, blames, cries and even burial of two lovely girls. You wouldn't want to hear the full gist. God is merciful and powerful but He has given us wisdom and power of choice.

Your concern is genuine. Call your brother and the lady and sit them and talk with them in love. They can still be friends outside marriage and be happy seeing the other person being happy in their homes. Tell them the consequences of their action. There are so many prayer points to pray for in marriage and prayer against sickled children has been answered even before marriage. Let pressure of age not force them into wrong marriage. It is not how far but how well.
