Romance / Re: Man Who Duped His Fiancée Arrested And Placed In A Police Cell by boringnigerian: 8:33pm On Jan 12, 2018
According to the report by Emeka, the fiancee begged him tto return the money or to pledge to return the money. He refused. He played her. She begged him. He played her. She went to the police. He evaded arrest for a whole year before he was later arrested.

What kind of one corner reporting is this?

Keep shut, boy Freeze.

As far as some Nigerians are concerned, you are not speaking for God. You are speaking for SATAN.
Any little thing you hear, without even getting the full details, you will jump on Pastors.

Why can't you speak up against herdsmen attacks and killings?

You don't want to offend your Kingdom, right?

Abeg, Abeg. He is within his rights to talk about whatever he wants and if he chooses to talk about pastors, it's his business. It's not like you are paying him to talk that you want to dictate what he talks about. If you want to talk about herdsmen, feel free. Nobody is stopping you. It's not like Freeze talking about pastors automatically stops you from talking about herdsmen.

My Friend, it might surprise you that I agree that Christianity was a force for good in Nigeria about 100 or more years ago, when European missionaries left the comfort of their civilized homes to bring many good things to Nigeria.

Now, read my post again.
I said that Pentecostal Christianity, which I don't think has anything in common with early christian missions in Nigeria, is a very toxic import that that is devastating the mental and intellectual landscape of Nigeria.

Can you honestly compare the early Christian missions in Nigeria to today's evangelical filth ?
Can you ?

The early Christian missionaries gave so much, did so much, with so little.
They were not asking people to pay tithe, sow seeds or subscribe to the worst forms of primitive superstitions.
The missionaries lives austere lives, gave up luxuries to serve their callings.
They were not living large on the backs of the Christians to whom they came to evangelise.
They served their communities and showed examples of the humility and charity that Jesus preached about.

My brother, that thing is a two-sided coin o. The missionaries basically took as much as they gave. Much as they brought education and basically dragged Nigeria into what was the modern world at the time, they came side-by-side with colonialists and slave traders. In their defense, some of the first people to fight against slave trade and, eventually, colonialism were missionaries but by then, the damage had already been done. Africa had already been scarred by the scourge of a history in which it was relegated to the dregs of global society and from which it hasn't recovered.

Also, while we would like to think that the missionaries brought us civilization, in a way they might have disrupted our growth process and that may be what's affecting us today. Europe and America weren't always the centers of civilization that they are now but they basically grew at their own pace, matured and took charge of the world. Africa, on the other hand, was forced into early maturity and, obviously, that isn't going well for us.

You failed to read and understand properly. I know we choose our own purpose which was why I directly asked him for his own purpose as an atheist outside his job since he said his comments are solely his personal opinion and atheism has no purpose and offers nothing and that we only live so we can become worm food. Can you show me where I suggested there was a preset purpose? Saying you beg to differ is simply you begging to support since I never said anything you differed with to begin with.

Why do y'all feel like any response that doesn't agree with you is an attack on you or your position? Me saying I beg to differ means I'm differing from my understanding of what you wrote. No need to get so defensive.

Also what is good and what is evil to you and how do you know which is which outside human laws especially since humans laws vary from country to country. E. G .bestiality, and it's likes.

So you make your own purpose right? Is there any purpose for you outside your job?

Regarding life in your opinion you would rather not be alive and by extension also would rather not have kids grin

I beg to differ with you @bolded. Everyone chooses their purpose in life. At the moment you became a Christian, YOU chose to make heaven your ultimate goal and pleasing God your purpose. Tomorrow, you might switch religions and follow a different path and find a different purpose for your life. While we like to think that there is a preset purpose for each person, there isn't. Each person chooses their own purpose and what gives their life meaning.

Sports / Re: Morata Finally Speaks On His Outrageous Performance Against Arsenal Yesterday by boringnigerian: 1:09am On Jan 05, 2018
Hozier:
Juventus plays a 3-5-2 formation, the only reason Morata would play wide would be of he was playing as a wingback, he was rather employed as a striker playing alongside either Tevez, Madzukic or Llorente. The reason you would find Morata at the wing is because he is a mobile striker and his comfortable anywhere on his pitch.

But he never played wide for Juve in a formation, never!

We're not talking fixed positions here. We're talking where the players actually were out on the field. While Juve was supposed to field five people in midfield (Pirlo, Vidal, Pogba, Lichtsteiner and any utility player between Asamoah, Padoin or Marchisio), you'll find more often than not, Pirlo playing the deepest with Vidal just ahead of him. Asamoah/Padoin frequently drifted into central midfield whenever Vidal ventured forward to provide cover for Pirlo. Pogba on the other hand played close to goal behind Mandzukic/Tevez with Morata and Lichtsteiner playing attack on the wings.

In defensive play, Lichtsteiner (as the Swiss train that he was) would fall back with Asamoah returning to.cover defensive duties on the left.
Sports / Re: Morata Finally Speaks On His Outrageous Performance Against Arsenal Yesterday by boringnigerian: 8:54pm On Jan 04, 2018
Hozier:
He never played wide, he was either supporting or starting as the main 9. Morata's problem at Chelsea isn't with the team's formation, he just has been too wasteful in front of goal.

He actually played wide a lot at Juventus, sort of like Ronaldo - either dribbling down the left or hugging the touchline then cutting in to square for Tevez or cross for Mandzukic.
Sports / Re: Morata Finally Speaks On His Outrageous Performance Against Arsenal Yesterday by boringnigerian: 4:26pm On Jan 04, 2018
Hozier:
He was playing alongside Madzukic upfront in a 3-5-2 formation.

First alongside Tevez, then Mandzukic. In both settings, they were the 9 and he was either supporting or playing wide and he did great.
Sports / Re: Morata Finally Speaks On His Outrageous Performance Against Arsenal Yesterday by boringnigerian: 4:10pm On Jan 04, 2018
Chelsea need to watch the way Morata was deployed at Juventus. That's his best position, not as a 9.

The solutions are:
1) The Word: Confirm with the word of God. Every thing God tells you MUST conform to His word. If it shifts Just alittle, throw it all away, it is the devil mixing lie with the truth.
2) God: Double check with God by praying and asking for confirmation.
3) Confirm with your spiritual Father until you are mature enough to understans and discern the voice and revelations of God by yourself

In which case, all denominations should be based on the single, undiluted word and there should be no contradictions. Instead, what we see are not just denominations passing contradictory messages but sometimes actively fighting against each other.

The truth is most of vocal supporters of Buhari both directly and indirectly never expected the doom that came with his presidency.

That seems to tell us that, majority of Nigerians are not as smart as perceived they use grammar intellectualism to mask the inherent dumbness whereas they are as empty and wack inside.
My respect for PA Soyinka dropped the moment the started penning support for the uneducated dunce currently at AsoRock.

It's not about not being smart. It's the fact that GEJ wasn't a great president and people wanted a change. The person with the most realistic chance of unseating him at the time was Buhari who, let's face it, didn't exactly have a terrible track record as military administrator.

Fast-forward to today and the undisputable fact on ground is that neither the two frontrunners in the last election were/are fit to be president.

Soyinka should save us his grammars and apologize to Nigerians for supporting the most evil government in our history. A government under whose watch incompetency, bigotry, nepotism, suicides, selling of children by their parents to survive harsh economy, incessant killings by Fulani militia terrorists, extrajudicial killings by the army has become a way of life.

The silence from his likes in the face of glaring injustices has portrayed them to be hypocrites.

And is he not part of the mumus that supported the election of Buhari in 2015

He owes you and, indeed, everyone else no apology. He supported what he felt what was a good option at the time ND he is entitled and fully within his rights to change that opinion at any time. People like you, instead of joining the clamor for better government regardless of your political alignments would continue to blame other people for holding an opinion even when they realise that what they had hoped in didn't quite turn out right. You are part of the problem!

Interesting question.

I don't know a lot about Israel's history (I mean the historic Israel, not the modern one) but one thing I can say is that almost everyone aren't living where they originated from. I mean if everyone had to return to their ancestral land, then the white Americans would have to return to Europe, the African Americans return to Africa, some bits of South America return to Africa and in some cases Europe and white Australians return to Europe. As it stands however, if someone else has laid claim to what was once your piece of land long enough, well, it's now theirs. Best you can do is to come to some sort of agreement with them on how to either live with them or share the land.
