boundlessjoy: Hi guys, so I have this one year degree that I did not evaluate, and so I didn’t include it in my profile pre-ITA. Now I have to account for the period I spent getting that degree post-ITA.
I have gone ahead to include it in my personal history. Does it matter that I didn’t mention it in my profile only to include it in my personal history post-ITA? Will I be misrepresenting anything for not including it at the initial stage? I’m not claiming points for it that’s why I didn’t include it when I was creating my profile. stevo2016: Please I need advice, I entered my profile on september 4, jst yesterday with a CRS score of 451, I am yet to receive any mail as per the ITA. The least score on today's draw is 440. Please does it usually take time before people start receiving msg or its usually instant. Thanks. Calm down bro. I entered the pool on the 1st with a score of 474, I just received my invitation about 5 minutes ago. I have reason to believe that it’s first come, first served. Literally |

fatiah: Please house, don't waka pass. Still waiting for ur input. Ordinarily, if you transferred your course credits to your foreign institution, then the transcript you get from your school abroad should include the transferred credits, as well as the credits you earned while in that school. This is usually the case assuming there are no peculiar circumstances. However, it wouldn’t hurt to put a call across to your school in the UK and ask them what your transcript would look like when you request for one. |

khinde: OK I would do asap.. Many thanks Before you apply for the PCC, be informed that same is valid for 3 months (I am not sure how strictly CIC interpretes the 3 months validity clause). You may want to take some time before applying for it so it doesn’t expire before you turn in your application. That said, should you decide to get it now, nothing precludes you from requesting another PCC when a previous one expires. You’d only need to pay for it again. |

khinde: I know right. I don't plan on spilling though since it wasn't serious but then again I need advise oo I think what mcstan18 wanted to know was if you were charged in the court for the said infraction. In my opinion, you don’t have anything to worry about because the Nigerian PCC only attests to the fact that the applicant has never been convicted of a crime. History of previous arrest(s) is not reported on the Nigerian PCC. So camdan |

beges: Seniors I urgently need your advice.i want to evaluate only my law school certificate with Iqas cos my uni is delaying .Will I still get a favourable evaluation? No sir. Evaluating only your law school transcript will be unfavorable as it will be evaluated as a One year post graduate diploma only. If you must evaluate only one transcript, let it be your LLB with IQAS, to get the maximum points for a professional degree. I understand that you want to go this route because you are frustrated with the delay, but that’s one of the prices to pay in this journey. Unfortunately, there is no short cut. By the way, a visit to Page 1 of the thread will shed more light. |

prost80: Hello All,
Do we have anyone here from OOU, Ago iwoye? I sent my degrees and transcript a while back, WES has replied that an email has been sent to OOU for them to send a confirmation mail to ascertain my transcripts, its been over a month now , no response from OOU, i heard their email is down. Please anyone with similar situation . what is the way forward
Also for POF, if i get a Gift Deed from a family who is giving over three-quarters of the amount needed. Will that suffice? Any additional information is appreciated I’m not from OOU, however I’ve had a similar problem. Since their email is down or broken (whatever that means) get them to respond to the verification via courier. They should’ve received a hard copy of the verification request and your transcript can be verified in hard copy as well. This will cost you courier fees though. |

Kingsyze: I have professional qualifications in welding Inspection, Painting Inspection, NDT Inspection, quality management system and I belong to Engineering Council UK and Bindt. I just want to know if there is a point in this process where any or all of these can count because they are internationally recognized in steel fabrication industry. Moreover my job description number under NOC is 2261. I really need some thoughts on the above. Regarding the certifications, do you have a transcript(s) that can be evaluated? If yes, you can give it a shot. If there are no transcripts, then the evaluating bodies won’t have anything to work with. |

We Nigerians are not native speakers of English or French, provided that you were born and brought up here in Nigeria. So the answer is “No”. |

salford1: I do not know much about law. The process in getting the license for lawyers could indeed be different from health related or engineering related professions which i am quit familier with:
Health and Engineering: Alot of employers won't pay interns. Free job for one year, more or less. Can one afford to stay unemployed for a year depending on profession?
Would private bar exams classes make you eligible for financial aid from the government or line of credit from the banks i.e. if you dont have lots of cash to pay out of your own pocket? Some would easily run into tens of thousands. I know of one in Calgary that cost 15k for 6months tutorial classes as at 2015 with no guarantee of passing. What about child care while you are away in classes?
It could take years or never to get some internship positions e.g medical residency. For other internship positions, they may condiser an applicant as long as he or she is not going to be paid. This usually comes with reference and networking too.
You know, Law could be indeed different compared to other professions. They may find it easier. I understand your position ma/sir. Whatever the situation may be for others, my prayer is for you to excel in your chosen career, way beyond your expectations. |

salford1: Bills, rents, feeding, childcare etc...for the call centre jobs. Law Articling would’ve paid as much if not more than what she was earning as call center agent.
As per the time spent in getting the paralegal diploma or degree, not everyone can self-study outside a classroom environment as it takes extreme discipline (i know some people that have changed careers in Canada just becos of this reason), and with kids around, it even becomes more difficult. She should’ve enrolled in bar exam classes then instead of paralegal classes.
Sometimes, exams do not take very long to pass (1 to 3 years, some with only 3 attempts at it before been struck out completely), so you really want to study hard and not waste the chances. Also obtaining an intern position which is a prerequisite to obtaining most license to practice could be very difficult. E.g International medical grads/pharms/nurses/physios etc. I perfectly understand. But it cannot take years to get an articling position. Even Nigerian-owned law offices will pity you and hire you. |

princesschuks: I can relate with him. You have no idea what it is to be stuck in a hostile environment. I resigned from my job last month, was earning almost 350k monthly, free medicals, ..... But my boss na were, everyday na query and copy HR. Before depression sets in I resigned. Osaze is even on IP2, my CRS can not even smell ITA. I can also relate with this hostile work environment issue. If my akant was as confident as osaze’s I would’ve long resigned. The people asking him to hang on probably don’t understand what it means to be unhappy with your job. |

Ogoamaka Egboka I’m also wondering why she didn’t consider getting her bar license before settling for call center jobs? Even the time and resources she invested in getting a paralegal degree was more than enough to scale the bar. It shouldn’t take 9 yrs to pass a couple of exams right? |

Please how long does it take for WES verification e-mail to get to the school?
Verification email was sent sometimes last week and was checked today at school by my contact, but said could not see it? Any information i need to know about?
Expecting kind feedback as usual For me, this is the 7th week that WES allegedly sent the verification request. My undergrad school insists that they have checked but couldn’t find the email. I’ve made several requests to wes to resend and no concrete response yet. Good luck. |
