The processing time at the time you submitted is what applies to you. AAO7: Morning!
I'll like to ask a question in regards to processing times which is now 10 WEEKS for Applications made from Nigeria.
Which processing time applies to me? The one at the time I applied or the current one? I'll appreciate your response.
Thank you |

If you currently work, go to your school, tell them you want the transcript for your place of work. They'll send it there after you've paid the required amount. You may need a letter to back this up, as in a letter from your place of work asking that your submit a copy of your transcript for verification or something. emmaxman: House Pls, I requested for my transcript so that I can add it to my documents to present for SP. Now, the Sch said they either send it to my Canadian Sch or the visa office. Pls, how best do I get to input it into my docs. I want to get it by hand and add it to docs I need to present. Another thing, is it advisable to take medical upfront? Thanks |

Cheap schoos: use Google. How to go about it: use Google or start from page 14 of this nairaland topic. Schools to apply and requirements: use Google. Cost of everything: also use Google, also when you get the school you can ask them how much their tuition will cost. - It's possible to pay when you get to Canada; some schools want you to pay before resumption. - It is possible to apply now for visa and be in Canada this year. Get the school's admission first, that's what is more important. ahmedio2017: Cheap schools to apply for in Canada for my master and how do i go about it please i need your guidelines as i know nothing about it,some agents r just promising me heaven n earth pls help me out o Which school do i apply for and there requirements? I don't think it matters where the statement is from, what matters is that the money is available and will be easily accessible if needed. Wolex2090 DMerciful: I'm not sure about this. Why not move to main banks |

Nalizzzy If she removes the fixed deposit account, how much would she be submitting in her Statement of Account (SOA)? If it's just the 50K, I'll advise she waits till the fixed deposit matures to apply or look for someone else with much better SOA to sponsor her. 042viber12: Remove that fixed deposit |

Last time I used IOM was in 2017, they told me they'll send it in 2 days. It may have changed now, ask them. I do prefer IOM to Qlife because IOM is faster in almost every way. The only downside is that they're costlier. 042viber12: Pls who used IOM and how long does it take them upload the results...prefer IOM cos Qlife just gave me May 6th....too far plus that's enough time to get a passport request |

You can if you have full funding i.e you have enough funding to cover both tuition and living expenses all through your academic sessions. lambsbread: 10 million or more Hehehe. It will take me donkey years to save up to that Na wa o. So there is no way one can even get visa even with 5 million |

I just checked my certificates, three have ABC, one has BCA and I used them like that. I suggested the affidavit because your was scattered almost completely and also because you seem to be worried about the scattering. Left to me, I'll say no need for affidavit or change of name because all the names - ABC - even in their different arrangements appear in all the documents, to me, that's all that matters. Timothyphillips: Thanks @Asapant, Viber and Bracha(as always) .....Please are you saying there's no need for an Affidavit if DOB on Birth cert, Waec and Intl Passport is same?... Thanks |

There's really no 'best way', it's just one way. Have money for your living expenses - 10kcad or 11kcad in Quebec - in your account, get all the required documents, have solid home ties (very good reasons to come back to Nigeria), write a very good statement of purpose (SOP), most importantly, pray and have faith in God. RonKenoly: What's the best way to go about the visa application after one has secured a fully funded scholarship.

All you need to get admission is good CGPA, undergraduate transcripts, application fee. BUT for visa, your 2 million will be very insufficient. You'll need about 10million or more, depending on the province, tuition cost of the school, and cost of living in the province. lambsbread: Please guys, I have like 2 million naira. Will it be enough to process a master program in Canada? If no, please how much will I need at least? |

I'll add to what Austacus has said, that cash you have there, send a statement of account NOT a reference letter. Send the statement of account when sending the new admission letter. When sending the statement of account, tell them it's an update. Make sure you properly explain that the statement of account is the same one with the letter of reference. Also, have the whole sum in your account, i.e the whole tuition + 10,000cad in your account. Your letter of reference from your bank is NOT proof of funds. Whatever Makano tells you to do, even if it gets their attention, you may still not get that visa because of funds. So update that letter to statement of account first. olamidemessi: Boss, thank you for your response .but I don't seems to understand the bolded sir . The investment is money and not asset . And it was 13m as at the time of my application and now it has accrued |

In addition to what Viber said, I think you can swear an affidavit stating that all of them are your name; as in one affidavit for each document. Austacus, Qudkom, JustMellow what do y'all think about his case? Timothyphillips: @Bracha-thanks.....I go try! Please if a candidate has different certificates with the names not been arranged properly, what should the candidate do to regularise (e.g WAEC has ABC as names, NECO has ACB as names, BSC has BAC as names, NYSC has BCA as names)? Hahahhahhhha thank you so much for taking this lightly, it's a testament of your maturity. I'm sure someone else - me inclusive - would have taken it more seriously. I could tutor you, but I'm so lazy and a dictionary would do a better job than me that being said, I will always send corrections to you via dm when I deem it necessary, yeah, I'm cool like that JustMellow: Hello Bracha,
I'm always open to corrections that's what builds knowledge. I am not here to teach or learn English, what's important is been able to pass out the needed message. Its intentional for me using the preference of "You is" to "You are" - Thanks for the observation, I guess I have to discard my old dictionaries and get a new one, then study it in depth to address the other raised points of "words misuse" and the application of "words in their right context."
I laughed uncontrollably and almost choked when i saw your post, and i appreciate your politeness but your post would have attributed to my improvement if only you had offered to tutor me. Now, am vexed!
You should know this: No offense taken. |

Lol, thanks. PS: I know what a precinct is, no need for the parentheses. I've been reading books about Scotland Yard since I was 6. Also know what it is to keep tabs on someone lol. Nah, I'm not pissed or insulted, I just wanted to bring to your notice the fact that while a lot of us in Nigeria have not travelled a lot, some of us read voraciously. Originalsly: On the ring... said he took it to the local Precinct (Police Station) for them to trace the owner via the engravings. They did like 2 years later... owner flew in from California... gave him a handsome reward... and kept tabs on him for over a year.. finding out how he is doing ... sending him more cash and find out how he is doing. Guess he sells untraceable stuff...and of course...will find casual as well...but figures mainly jewellery. |

What's all these discussions about the education in Nigeria? It's shit! This is general knowledge naaa abi are we here to grandstand (Let me know if I missed the memo)? For anyone who has schooled outside the shores of Nigeria, this should be an easy conclusion to arrive at. If you haven't, then it may be difficult for you to make any comparisons.
Are Nigerians smart and intelligent? Absolutely, Yes! Are Nigerians able to recover and compete favourably when they find themselves in a better environment? Oh, sure as hell! We can be quite tenacious as a people.
Where's Olajide and his beautiful pictures when we need him/one? May I ask that you help us with pictures of any Library in Canada, so that we can quit these discussions on education in a country where there are no functional libraries.

IKR!! I find his posts so stressful to read sometimes. He misuses words, uses words in the wrong context and uses excessively big words which could have been simplified for better comprehension. E.g his use of 'sage' is almost always out of context in a lot of his posts; 'wise' would have done the job excellently well lol. His use of 'is you' instead of 'are you' makes me cringe everytime lol I just didn't want to be the one to tell him; I wanted someone else to open the discussion then I'll come in. So, thanks for doing that PS: he does such an amazing job here, it cannot be overemphasised. I'm sure the grammar affects only me (it's like an OCD for me or something lol), so he shouldn't take it personally; it's me not him sillysassysally: This your grammer na die oh |

Hi, i'm not sure you can do that medical exam before Wednesday, all the same, I'll advise you ask them if it can be done before then. I'll also advise you manage your expectations about it. It could take 3-7 days for the result to be updated. When you get the passport request, try to submit as soon as possible so there won't be any delays. 042viber12: Quick one, I plan on doing the medicals hopeful before Wednesday. O.M.G! That is someone's hustle? How? What does he do with the valuable items when he finds them? Return them to the owners? Or sells them? Also, what does he do with the not-so-valuable ones? Originalsly: NYC... Home of the Hustlers!....it's amazing the kinds of stuff people do here to make an honest living. This guy with the back pack.... seen him a lot.... he walks the streets with the grates on the sidewalk like every day. If your stuff falls through the grate... it gets trapped like 10 feet below...you may not even know it fell through.
