Nice point...May be they just calculate all students admitted newly, irrespective of whether it is into first or second year..Read new
No, this was the list of students admitted into 100l through jamb and o'level results and she should have qualified on merit if the o'level results which i'm just getting to see were actually what was computed which mind you, it wasn't

I think the total sum of students admitted both from jamb/direct entry was 100.
53 from jamb, 47 from A levels...
My point is that A levels go directly to 200l not 100l, 100l admissions is strictly o'levels

regarding the ranking. she ranked 103 among the jambites. 100 students were admitted in all for medicine. but those 100 were not all jambites. direct entry admissions were included. ur logic here does not take the direct entries into consideration.

and I don't think its nice to call the provost names. he should be applauded for showing concern (if its really is true that the reply is from him). most university dons I know wouldn't care a hoot cos they know there's nothing anyone can do about it in this Godforsaken country!
I think direct entry should be into 200l not 100l or has that changed? undecided correct me if i'm wrong

Bros, the ethnic diversity in the west is greater, for sure...There are more easterners, northerners etc in eastern and northern schools than there are westerners in western schools..
In lagos and U.I yes and to a much lesser extent O.A.U but the rest are largely monoethnic and it is not because of dearth of applications from other ethnic groups, Unillorin is a point in case and this isn't limited to the southwest alone, in the north aside A.B.U the rest are same and that is largely the case in the southeast so i wouldn't even vouch for any school there, Uniben stands out in this case and it is reflected in the number of applications they get from all over Nigeria which is second only to Unillorin for obvious reasons, other schools may have sprinklings of ethnic diversity but not at a level which give it statistical significance and bring notice of it to the forefront.

I as a niger deltan from delta state has equal chances of gaining admission into uniben with you and an edo indegene from benin city in any given course on merit, this is my argument

I make bold to say the ethnic diversity in schools in the west is far greater than it is in other parts of the country.
I can reel out names of popular people of other tribes that schooled in the west.
check OAU's list and you would see lots of people from different tribes in Nigeria. even foreigners.

a brain is too precious a gift to waste
That was in the 80's and early 90's when they retained true federal character but that is no more, I have attended lectures in southwestern university where lectures were given in english with a smattering of yoruba and i felt the odd man out due to language differences! I am impressed with the prompt and detailed response of OAU.

A lot of folks just blindly commented in the morning and they still insist on arguing with the facts provided.

The young girl just was unlucky, though it's still likely some undeserving students would slip through the cracks and get admitted by nepotism.

Those still arguing OAU should have still gone ahead to give her admission just are not ready to face the facts provided here.

Good luck to the girl
FACT:- an error deliberate or otherwise was made in compiling her o'level results

45/64 isn't the same thing as 50/64 the difference is worth about 4%age points undecided

too bad a deltan can get admitted into oau except via merit list next time try uniben or delsu girl
Merit alone should've gotten her admission into O.A.U as she scored higher than their initial cut of mark!

There is a reason why UNIBEN is the second most applied to uni in Nigeria after Unillorin, because UNIBEN don't taint their merit list/candidacy with tribalism undecided
Education › Re: Provost Of Health Sciences Oau Gives Reasons Why Mrs Aror Wasnt Admitted by BraniacX(m): 12:22am On Dec 23, 2016
Going by the scores pasted there the girls score totals 76.7 which just falls barely shy of the 77% cut of mark And that is because her o'level scores total 47/64 as against 45/64 as posted here totalling (73.4+80)/200

So unless many others scored higher than this, they should come up with a different lie!

MODIFIED!!

Its actually 50/64 for her o'levels sef making it 78.1% which when added to 80% and divided by 2 gives us approximately 79% and with an acclaimed cut of mark of 77% what other argument is the person who made this defence making? angry

Gosh,,,*sighs heavily*
I take it reading isn't your strongest suit?

The latter is more understandable to people who are clueless on what the character entails(sadly this is where you fall under).
Understand that the live action versions are like a piece of sand particles compared to the sandhill of the comics.
And this is a match up battle, which can only be judged fairly when both are analysed from the same ground where they are both fulfilled(comics) than the impartial state of live action(try reading all the comments in page 1 and see where I dealt with this),where one character has more screentime and understanding to the audience than the other. Causing you to exhibit the ignorance of the abilities of Hawkeye due to the incomplete version you've seen, and the 4 good seasons(23 episodes each) of Green Arrow. See you already know almost everything about Green Arrow, but for Hawkeye you're clueless,so your judgment holds no ground for this match up in the eyes of the law.

Hope you understand now? It will really be a bummer if you don't ..
It will help if you don't come of always so superior in your explanations, approach it like a teacher teaching a difficult student wink

is it not what is shown on the comic book, thats what is acted on the film. Comic books are more of writting, while the films are meant elaborate more on what is written. Ok answer this question: between what is written and what is seen with you two eyes, which one is more understandable?
Since you're a neutral like me let me help you out!

The comic books are the cannon i.e the bible of all the characters

The tv series and movies are just mere adaptations, what you see on tv is limited by technology, budget and subject to creative interference of the directors

The real characters in their true natures are in the comic books and to a close extent their animated series.

For example the thor on tv is simply put a wimp, the real thor on the other hand grin

How can thanos be a rip of of darkseid and hulk of grundy?
Just because you want a long list doesn't mean you shouldn't use character abilities/flaws to determine similarities abeg edit your list jare! Its offensive to me as a comic lover! Any character that is a rip of must have near similar powers and weaknesses to the original
Also it should interest all of us to know many character developers and writers worked for both companies at different points in time and created similar characters to ones they created for their previous employers when working at their rivals

Niger Delta Reconciliation Council, NDRC, has
lauded President Muhammadu Buhari on the
choice of Mr. Tikare T. Y. Danjuma as Coordinator
of Niger Delta Waterways Security.
A statement in Bomadi by Ramson Erebor and
Oweilayefa Ekrika, President and Secretary of
NDRC, respectively, described the appointment of
Mr. Danjuma as “the right man for the job and
suitable for the task of providing waterways
security in the region.”
NDRC said: “Mr. Tikare T. Y. Danjuma is a bridge-
builder, social engineer, grassroots mobilization
expert and a humble achiever,” adding that NDRC,
through its peace ambassadors, would support him
to end conflicts, piracy and pipeline vandalism in
the Niger Delta.
www.vanguardngr.com/2016/11/nrdc-hails-buhari-danjumas-appointment/

So the problem was never that GEJ created a Niger delta waterways security portfolio and gave it to individuals like tompolo and other local players to benefit from, the problem was that it wasn't given to a northerner! Now that a northerner has been put in charge all the silly southerners who were acting aggravated over the so called "empowerment of militants" have lost their voices and are feigning deafness and blindness! We're keeping tabs as watchful Niger Deltans and there will be an accounting for this disregard someday soon!

And to all the Niger Deltans that collaborated because they felt they were not benefiting enough, clap for yourselves..... Remember the story of the child who threw away his mothers pot of soup in anger because he/she felt their meat wasn't big enough? You'll starve like that child too.
