The Benin Bronzes were looted from the PALACE OF THE OBA OF BENIN IN 1897. AMONG THE TREASURES ARE ARTEFACTS DATED TO THE 11TH CENTURY, IE 800 YEARS EARLIER.

So, the Palace of the Oba of Benin is not a place that throws its ancient treasures ''into fires to roast snakes'' or whatever ignorant garbage you typed.
