pgheaert: Good morning all. Please I need your help urgenty. I am one of the winner of DV 2013 visa lottery but the only information I have is my case number. The agent that entered me for the lottery changed all my contact details I filled on the form he gave me while registering so I was unable to get any information regarding my entry. I didnt even know that I won until last Sunday when he called me to inform me and told me not to tell anybody yet. I believe he has seen the result since May. Unknown to me, the agent had already filled the necessary forms for further processing, changing my status and had sent it to KCC. He had already MERGED me with some random guy and now they want me to cooperate so that they can arrange our marriage before the interview. I don`t know this guy and I don`t want to proceed with their plans. They said it is arrangie but its going to be legal so if I proceed with the plan, I will be legally and lawfully married to this random guy. My fiance of 6yrs have asked me to make my decision about chosing him or proceeding with the agent`s plan.

Please I need your help. What can I do to keep my relationship of 6 yrs with my fiance and still keep the visa lottery that I believe I lawfully won? Some have advised me to report the agent but I do not have enough evidence to file a case against him. All I have is my case number which is -2013AF00005***

I don`t want to forfeit this chance and I don`t want to loose my relationship. Please I need an expert advise on what to do.

My dear, u came here for an advice and i will give u my honest opinion.
1. Dont think u can out smart KCC or the embassy cos dey will catch YOU!
2. Dont involve ur self in anything that is Illegal.
3. When the embassy catch u, they will ban u from coming close to ther embassy for abt 4yrs or more.
4. Dont go along with that agent cos it will not end well.
5. I may advice u to even mail or call to report that agent to the embassy cos they are looking for those ppl and doing that may even help u to set the record strength

Stup*d Agent, na dem dey spoil things. No wonder they ask us yeye question at the embassy.

yes, anyone accompanying you will do the medicals and police report. 2NL is the second Notification Letter which will indicate the place, day and time of ur interviwe or know as interviwe letter.

Carefully, i mean CAREFULLY fill the forms and dont be in a hurry to send it to kcc. After you had sent ur forms then you take ur time to make sure all ur documents are ready. Again, ur medicals and police report comes after ur 2NL. Medicals, abt 28k. Police report, from as low as 2500 to as high as 7k and $330 which u will pay at the embassy.

ur nxt step shuld be to fill and send the forms to kcc. You not late.
Ur medicals and police report will come later, after u must have gotten ur interviwe date.

I think i can respond for him, pls he did not and it was even his original birth certificate that was issued at birth that he used.

HE FINISHED SECONDARY SCHOOL IN 1979(WAEC) 1 CREDIT AND I PASS AND WENT TO TECHNICAL COLLEGE TO STUDY BUILDING AND WOOD WORK TECH AND FINISHED IN 1983 WITH CITY AND GUILD (ORDINARY AND ADVANCED LEVEL)

HE HAS BEEN WORKING WITH THE FEDERAL MINISTRY OF WORKS AND HOUSING AS BUILDING INSPECTOR FOR 28YEARS NOW.HE IS NOW A SENIOR BUILDING WORKS SUPERNTENDENT WHICH FALL UNDER JOB ZONE 4.

What Category do you think is best to pursue? Education or Experience and Why?

And my second question I'm trying too resolve my birth cert at nation population commission, be cz one pson also said that, the birth cert as two different type, the you knw the rite one 4 travel? Be 4 I go ahead.

1.police report is done ONLY at the Forensic Department, alagbon but this shuld be done after u have gotten ur 2NL.
2.International passport is done at ANY passport office of the immigration.
3.Birth Cert, depending on when you were born you will be given a birth cert or an Attestation of Birth/Age and you can get both at ANY NPC office. Gud luck.

jack_syno: I just called KCC. They were very straight forward and fast with their dealings.
At first i was thinking it was gonna be like our normal MTN, Glo,.. customer service
where they will keep you hanging on the phone endlessly - It was 'click' and i was
already talking to someone.

Well, I have got a cool news - My application was confirmed received and has been cleared for an appointment.
But they havent scheduled an interview date yet- the wait continues.

I guess thats reassuring to those of us that got notified late and have submitted both the DSP-122 and DS-230 forms.

This waiting game must end with a happy one oooo.... lolz.

While I got bounced for B1/B2. Visa fees have gone up. I paid additional N3,300 to N23,100 paid earlier. DV fees are 440USD for each person.
