Good to know you are doing well. My LO has been active all along ooo until yersterday. I noticed that after kpekpusing with DH, he has been quiet. I was getting a bit worried but I have started feeling the kicks this afternoon.

my birth story
edd was 17 according to lmp,on Monday 11th I saw my doc ND told him all dates from scan has passed he jus laughed at me ND said he works with natural date Wch is lmp so it's nt yet time.I got home ND was waiting for d glorious 17.meanwhile scan I did April ist said baby weigh is 4.05kg already I was a bit scared Cus 17 was still far away. I started starving myself fear of big baby,taking long works as well.

Am 18weeks+ and have been on Pregnacare but Doc gave me RD (Routine Drugs) after telln dem am on Pregnacare said it aiit. plz kindly advice me as i do not want to use overdose nor cause any form of deformity for my baby. RD includes Folic Acid, Ferrous, BComplex & Calcium.

Don't worry about the pimples, if you didn't have it before pregnancy, once you put to birth it will clear. I had lots of it till 16weeks sef and it was everywhere, face, neck, chest, shoulders and back. I got a facial cleanser named clear pore neutrogena and used it to clean my face and neck every morning and evening before I sleep. I stopped using brown powder and started using only white powder. Make sure you don't sleep with makeup on your face. Drink lots of water too. It will clear with time. Mine has reduced sooo much now...Yours will reduce too.

You can be taking your ferrous along with pregnacare since it contains iron more. The quantity of iron in pregnacare is not so high. But don't take the folic acid in addition, the quantity in pregnacare is just enough. I don't know the milligrams of calcium you were taking already and the one the Doctor gave you to be able to compare if taking both would result in overdosing. But just know that a pregnant woman needs about 800-1200mg of calcium daily.

Meanwhile, pregnancy has made me turned so carefree about looks and make-up. I packed my Mac powder somewhere far since first trimester as the heat made rubbish of my makeup. I use just white powder if I decide to rub sef. I just go out without it most days. I rarely draw brows again....my L.A. pride and L.A girl lipsticks makes no sense to me most days . No wahala sha.....it's matter of months and I will be back to my confident looking me.
What I dontknow is y hubby never remark on it sef. I haven't made hair in d last 3weeks but this weekend, I will try and improve.
Turkey and US clothes have become sop costly now erh God dey....we will survive.

Episiotomy as much as I dread it is a better option than CS my Dear. I fear am pass fear sef and that's because most hospitals don't numb the area before stitching But some hospitals do. If you're fortunate to use a hospital that does it, fine. Do your kegel exericises if you have not been doing it to help your pelvic floor muscles master the act of relaxing and tightening. Encourage yourself with positive thoughts that you can do it. In my area, when I see 14yr olds with babies, I wonder how they did it and then tell myself, if they can do it, then I can do it.
But the truth remains, the decision lies with you finally. I have a female Doctor friend who never for once was prepared to subject herself to labour. Once she hits 38 weeks, she picks a date for her CS and goes her way. Whatever is ok for you....it's all about mother alive, baby alive and healthy and father alive too.

For the libido thing, it might improve after delivery. Just wait and see....But dey try give hubby small small sha

The blankets are folded but the are not so big and they are light, good for wrapping baby, to use like a light cover cloth or even for burp cloth. You will still need to buy bigger and thicker ones. But these ones come in handy for different things.

Your stuffs are really beautiful : . Your customer has good stuffs. What are burp clothes used for? What makes it different from receiving blankets? ?

Good morning wonderful mamas, And we are team blue I'm so happy, for my first I prayed for a girl and it was so, this one I prayed for a boy and God has done it again. I just couldn't wait to check, found out at 14 weeks, confirmed again about 2 weeks ago. I've done a little shopping, like 7 Sleepsuits, some bibs, a pack of receiving blankets. I was happy to get some original NEXT Sleepsuits from one of my customers, she sells original UK things. Will go back and continue in May.

I went for a scan on wednesday and got another EDD. According to LMP, my EDD is 7th of August, my first scan gave me 6th and the second scan gave me 27th of July. I've been sticking with my first scan thinking that probably I ovulated a day earlier. In asmuch as I don't mind having my baby on the 27th of July being my dd's birthday, I will just stick with my LMP, which makes me 22 + 5 days today and August 7 as my EDD. My placenta position is posterior, at the back of my wom b and I read on the internet that this makes someone feel baby movement more earlier and more kicks and movement. I just hope posterior position does not pose any risk at delivery cause my placenta has always been at the anterior position. She also weighed 637g. Did I write 'She' ? Yes, scan picked a girl. I'm team pink. #augustmamaforsupernaturalVBACdelivery.

Congratulations Teamie....Posterior placenta poses no problem at all as long as it's is not lowing lying. My placenta is also posterior. I started feeling baby kicks since 16weeks. The kicks are more active now in fact over active. Also had my scan 21weeks scan with LO weighing 464g. Baby was just jumping up and down , and side ways, couldnt pick sex . Sonographer even acknowledge its long she saw such an active baby. Thats my second attempt . I will give one last attempt by last week of this month or first week of May. If baby doesnt cooperate will shop for unisex and wait for the pleasant surprise at delivery.
May God grant your heart desire for VBAC ....

Guess no one as experienced dis, d itching finally stooped on its own after It became unbearable n I prayed. Finally slept @ past 2am. Still don't know wat caused it cos I dint experience it wit my previous pregnancies. Team August una don dey take 1st dose of TT? It's well wit us all.

I took my 1st dose at 16weeks. I was instructed not to use the hand for anything tedious like pounding or washing or even scratch or massage it for at least 48hrs. I abided by it and the slight pains left after 3days or so. I wasn't told when the next shot is.

Teamie abeg nna Don't be counting this thing in days. I almost read 115months to go. It sounded like forever. I prefer months please or even weeks. At least hearing 3months 2weeks or even 4months to go sounds shorter. Before I will count 115, 114, 113 to 80,70 and 10days to go, I would have given up .
It's more encouraging for me to know I have 14weeks to go ! .

Please watch What you eat, I knoww preggy mamas love to eat. Ensure your meals are well balanced, more of veggies than carbs. Once you hit third trimester, do all you can to avoid carbs. They are the biggest culprit of fat babies. My doc will always tell me to avoid carbs and eat veg, fruits and protein. Also exercise is very important. Take short/long walks everyday cos if you don't the lil food you ate will just sit there in your system and contribute to the fat. Lol.

At my ANC, we are taught that high protein intake especially from 8months makes a baby add weight rapidly so if we don't want too big babies, we should cut down on protein intake from then and increase carbohydrates. What's actually the correct thing?

Hmmmm, am presently battling with same issue o, in fact I'm so so so worried, went for scan at 20weeks, d baby is said to b breached, with a low lying placenta, though d doc said there is stil 100% chances for everything to turn normal, my second pregnancy , d first was very normal. I m trusting God for a turnaround . Ur testimony has given me so much hope.

Teamie there is still time for baby to turn. Don't worry too much. At this stage, baby does lots of sumersaults and kicking . So baby can turn as long as there is still space in the womb.

Nothing to reduce LO weight oo that he/ she has added already but you can help him not to add more by reducing your protein intake! Protein makes them put on lots of weight in 3rd trimester. Drink water before eating to help reduce the quantity of food You eat.
You can try natural ways of inducing labour such as frequent sex with DH like once everyday , eating not too ripe pawpaw and pineapples, taking long walks in the evening etc. I avoid recommending taking castor oil tho it's one of the ways cos anything may go wrong. Google some more.
P.S bear in mind that if your body is not prepared for the birth, they may not work for you.

I had sleepless nights throughout my first trimester! !! Once it's 1 am, no more sleep no matter how I tried! I begged Doctor for sleeping drugs tire ...him no gree give me cos the thing made me useless through out the day. I was just thanking God when I hit 13weeks. Now, I can sleep well except the heat problems.
I ran high temperature too through out first trimester even after I was treated of Malaria.

I used Ori and Palmers Shea butter for the one in my buttocks and hips and I saw a remarkable reduction. This heat no dey gree me go close to creams again. Thank God no stretch marks on my stomach yet. Some people say Bio oil works for them.
But to help you prevent more from coming out, don't scratch your Tommy when it itches you. Just rub it gently
