DOn't PUT ANY GRAIN OF SALT in your food for JUST one week and your bp will come crashing down! It requires ALOT of discipline but it's worth the effort! Give it a try if you can.....

You are more than welcome. Sex is not harmful to the baby as long as it's not done roughly and you are not spotting blood! Guess you are lucky to still have cravings for sex oo, most mama's here are still in Sambisa looking for their own cravings . As a third time mum, you have lots of experiences to share here with us . We await those experiences.

I'm about 8wks now and this is my first pregnancy. I can but appreciate every mother I see since Morning Sickness is showing me pepper...

If I take ordinary water, I throw up. I'm also treating malaria presently. I keep telling hubby that I miss myself sooooooo much...

I can't wait for this phase to be over...

Welcome SisiNini.....congratulations on your pregnancy. You will be fine in a matter of a month or so. Instead of taking ordinary water, take cold water. Always keep your mouth busy with snacks or fruits if real food no gree stay. This is mango season, eat as much as you can. Only unripe pineapple and unripe paw paw that you should avoid for now. Eat all other fruits.

Mamas in the house, is it possible to not add so much weight when breastfeeding? A friend of mine who gave birth sometime back came visiting and she was looking so big. She's worried and wants to shed weight. Told her about my e-family and that I will ask for her (and myself too for later things). So my questions are:

1. Is it possible to keep your weight in check when breastfeeing by exercising or so?

2. Is it safe to exercise and if it is when is it safe to start? (Cos my said friend was still very trim up until 6 months after birthing).

3. What exercises can one do? Skipping, jogging,...... ?

Please, ALWAYS disconnect stabilizers from generators for the life of your appliances and even the generator itself! When on gen, plug devices directly. Except for UPS used for computers and television sets.

Teamie, the best placenta presentation is posterior. This enables you to feel baby kicks early enough and does not also block the birth canal. Sometimes though, the placenta maybe anterior at the beginning of the pregnancy but as the pregnancy progresses, it moves up as it was the case in your second pregnancy. If it remains anterior till delivery time, the implication is that it will block the birth canal making it difficult or impossible for the baby to pass thro the cervix to the vagina. It usually necessitates a CS. But not to worry, keep an open mind . Yours till has time to move up. It will move up as it did in your previous pregnancy. ...Best wishes

My problem with pimple has double up since I don get belle I have it on my face and neck ...its so obvious that DH call me ojuju calabar bt trust me when I'm going to work,meeting or any occassion I conceled my face with makeup no matter how tired I am I still ensure I cover my face with my foundation and powder atleast it makes me feel and look better ...is there any thing I can do to ease d acne and pimples on my face and neck?

I don't think there is a solution to this neck pimples during pregnancy oo. I have it too. I thank God its not as much as it was durIng 1st trimester. I think the heat is also a contributory factor sha .

Mind you, there are positives to having an oily face. People with oily faces don't age fast. The pictures of those products that Mama posted should help you manage it, but YOU CANNOT alter your skin makeup completely. You can only control it for now. The older we get, the less oil our bodies produce.

Here's a recent simple day makeup(no contour or highlighting) i did for my bloated preggy face. Lol
NB: Make nobody laugh my nose o, ehen!

I didn't attend any makeup class or training, i learnt how to do my own makeup from watching makeup tutorials on youtube/instagram and reading tips online. So if any mama is having issues doing her own makeup, start first by buying some of the basic things you need:
-Makeup brush set (Doesn't have to expensive. Mine was just 2k and it does the job well. I think its a must-have for every makeup lover)
- Eyebrow pencil (Doesn't have to be expensive. Ordinary 50naira Davis pencil can suffice for now)
- Concealer (I use L.A girl Pro Concealer cus its superb and just 1k. I use this to define my eyebrows, that is to make the lines stand out and to shapen them)
- Foundation (For this one, i didn't spare expense. I use BlackUp Foundation because its perfect for my skin tone and it doesnt look heavy on my face)
- Pressed or Loose powder (I also use BlackUp two way cake because its very light on the face)
- Eyeshadow (You can go for palettes or single eyeshadows)
- Lipstick (Buy as you like)
- Eyeliner to line your eyelids and black eyepencil to line under your eyes


My favourite place to watch makeup tutorials is www.thatigbochick.com. I learnt a lot from her videos, especially her video on how to get the perfect eyebrow.

Mehn. ...looks like you borrowed my brain and fingers to post this!!!! . Only thing is I use Mac powder and Zaron matifying powder. They give me what I want. I dont use foundation because of my oily face. I learnt all my makeup from YouTube videos. I use L. A pride lipsticks and Jordana. You are on point babe!

I have tried scrub. Queen Helens, tried eden. I have dead cells all over my face.
My skin is fresh but my face. With all d oil on my face like I just removed y face from oil pot of stew.

Have you tried a neutrogena facial product or clean and clear product? They have black spots removers. I use their facial cleaners and no complains so far. I have a VERY OILY FACE ....so I try not to miss my face cleansing routine every morning once I wake up and after taking my evening bath.

What pintoxx said this evening hurt me real bad. Telling me she's not the cause of my frustration. And since then I've just been looking at my dauta that made me take all the "crazy frustration" decisions and walk the "frustration" walk.

Yes pintoxx u know my story today but you don't know my tomorrow's glory and I don't your tomorrow's story! But inside of staying within the line of the said matter. Babes you decided to cross it and touch me where u felt will hurt me the most. Hi5 babe! I will take every frustration a million times over for my daughter. I will do crazier things if need be! Laugh at the frustration today o, joke about it, enjoy the story u think u know but very soon I'll invite u to see that table God will prepare from this frustration.

P.s. ...I read your story and I can relate cos I was raised by a single mum. I am proud to say it anywhere. I had a very violent and immoral father. As young as I was, those memories of him hitting my mum is still there. My mum finally took courage to walk out of that dead trap called marriage. This came after several talks of Doctors treating her of bruises and STDs . I wished she had walked out earlier so we do not even get the see the physical abuse apart cos those memories keep hunting. I HATE MEN THAT PUT THEIR HANDS IN THEIR WIVES .....AND I WILL WALK OUT OF MY MARRIAGE WHEN THAT BEGINS TO HAPPEN! NO bargaining on that....My husband knows..

For a start, when exactly would you love to resume another journey yourself? Is that you want to wait until you finish your M.SC program or wait till you can land a job first? How many children did you people agree to have?
While waiting for that answer these are my thoughts and what I would do if I were in your shoes :
Has your period resumed yet since after delivery? If no, tell him that it's not possible for you to get pregnant till the period starts while you go do your family planning secretly. If yes and he knows already, still do the family planning withouttelling him. Go for the one with the shortest duration that can allow you get pregnant once you are ready.

Have you have tried reasoning mildly with him and telling him your reasons why you wouldn't want it at 10 months?
For me, I am a strong advocate for women doing something oo no matter how small, working or doing business. So I would only delay another journey because I want to get something doing first not because I want to further studies except I had started the program already. Master's in Nigeria is a minimum of 18months, plus or minus other incontigencies , it's 2years we are talking about here. So does it mean no baby till 2019 if you start by January 2017? How old will you be yourself by then?
Whenever possible for those who were fortunate to marry before 30 or at 30 sef, They usually target having all thier children by 35,36years. What's your target?

Remember too that your husband also has a point in what he is saying too. Its better to start training his children early enough especially if he is a civil servant so he doesnt end up using his pension to pay children's fees.

For me, one is never too old to go to school. Worry about what to do first. Try to see if you can get something doing from now till your child is year 3 or 6months. If not, you can succumb to DH wishes please. You can do online master's program from National open university depending on your field.
