I believe we are all blessed, just having the word of God.

Tithing is compulsory according to Scriptural references but you are entitled to your own opinion about it. Everybody doesn't believe in Jesus as the son of God just like some of the jews till date. Whether u tithe or not God will still prosper u cos He says that He shall prosper the works of our hands. But when u don't tithe the devourer will come into your finances and God can not be able to rebuke it. You find out that you are prospering but with suffering. I actually went into a Catholic Church this evening, as I have always been puzzled about Catholic's paying tithes.

The priest don't really say much does he, its the people from all walks of life get up and read, I couldn't understand what was said: they weren't loud in speech, a million miles away.

I also noticed the priest receiving gifts of some sort, from Children.
Does that happen all the time?

If Jesus didn't find any weakness in tithing back in those days of old, then all God's people would still be tithing today.

Jesus had seen how the tithing law how it corrupted the Pharisees.

Matthew 6:24 Jesus say's: No-one can serve to masters; you will be loyal to the one and despise the other, you cannot serve God and Mammon.

Matthew 23 gives us a positive description about the Scribes and the Pharisees, how they lived on the highways while receiving tithes from God's people.
