Why not a post doc? If you’re really good at your area of specialization, you will surely get opportunities abroad. Another big advantage of post Doc is that it provide dual opportunity either into the academia or industrial world in your instance.
As you work on your thesis, you can share with either of these groups that share in your interest and line of work. Someone will certainly buy into it. I have proofs

God has buttered some people’s bread for life. That money is not even enough to feed the patients talk more of treating them ( El Zakzaky’s case in mind). The sad part is that they are all over the place looking for cases like a bounty hunter.
