Are you people insane or what? I haven't seen this kind of "attache by force" all my life. Don't you guys hate Igbo people again? So why are you all over the place spitting saliva in what does not concern you. Are you aware that at least 30 persons are kidnapped daily in the north. How many people have died in the north in the past one week alone. And you are concerned about the East. Tufiakwa, I never see.

My own sister did an elaborate trad last December and elaborate church wedding in her husband's state but d difference is that d trad was 101% funded my family.
In fact, when she and her hubby came for my grandma's funeral recently, popsy gave the husband 10k for fuel and we still loaded their booth with foodstuff, canned drinks, smoked meat etc.
My sis is 28 but has been lecturing in a federal polytechnic with a masters degree for d past 4years so she's also bringing a lot to the table.
But here is an idiot who is only bringing a vagina and womb to the table requesting the op should spend lavishly when she is not contributing a dime.
It's very clear she's from a wretched background cos na only dem de reason like that, afterall op said he's d one that's gonna fund even the trad.
I just dey pity the op, let see how e go be

Annoms:
I'll try to make this short.

Yesterday I was having a conversation with my fiancée about my mum's suggestion about how to go about our wedding which is scheduled to take place Jan next year. My mum suggested that we do both trad and white wedding on the same day to cut cost. She opined that we do the white wedding in the morning and hold the traditional marriage as a reception in the afternoon. I pretty much see reasons from her perspective considering the harsh economic condition in Nigeria.

I was relating this to my fiancée yesterday in a phone call, when she flared up and said I should have consulted her to seek her opinion on this marriage arrangement before going to my family to seek theirs because I said my mum's advise seems okay.

What I deduce from her plight was that she wants the trad marriage at the village (south-east) while the white at the town where we base (South-West). That was what I initially wanted but due to high inflation in the land, I'm actually tilting towards my mum advise because I can't go bankruptcy just because I want to satisfy her. Why not use a stone to kill two birds?

She wants a cream-de-la-cream kind of wedding but she's not ready to assist financially to make that happen. (she's an awaiting corper)

I told her that the cost of transportation and lodging people from the village (hers and mine) to the city for our white marriage alone is gulping about 500/600k. That's transportation & lodging alone ooo.. I'll now spend if not x2 of what I spent on trad for white.. Why not just do everything in the village and move on with our lives? We can actually have it in the village and it will still be all nice and glamourous.

She said she wants to have a say in how her marriage will look like. Her imput is welcomed. But if she still insist on having the white wedding and not putting finances into consideration. I'm thinking that she want the white wedding on the city because of her friends who will attend which is not enough reason to go bankruptcy for.

It was a heated argument yesterday. We both went to bed angrily and not in talking terms till now

Pls advice accordingly. Thanks
why are even doing the two, traditional wedding is enough bro... you are wasting your resources doing the both as for me I done make up my mind I will only do the traditional wedding... to hell with white wedding.... period!

Put that 500k in piggyvest with 8٪ interest...

Almost every make walks the same path by nature. It's only after the hurt that we realize our supposed harmless butterflies are actually cloaked nightmares parading as humans.
I don't believe I deserve what I got. Let's say I got what always meets people like me. Not necessarily that we deserve it, but that's usually the reward for that insanely high level of niceness.
I've moved on in the most possible way I can, and I'm loving myself now.
Soon, I'll make posts on my comeback to encourage others who are in the same situation.

you see - learning hand work as a back up is never a mistake

I met a naija guy in university here in America when I was doing my masters those days.

This dude was making an average of $300 a week fixing hair based on appointment- just weekends only and he was making $1,800 working in the school library from M-F

All as an international masters student he was raking in $3,000 a month easily

He was only dating a beautiful chic. Because he can fix hair, he had a lot of well connected pretty female friends and that networking helped him get a good job after graduation.

Because of this guy, I even wished at a time I learnt braiding while in naija grin
having a skill is good, I will always advise graduating secondary school to acquire a skill

May God bless your mom for directing you well and may God bless you too for being humble to learn that skill before going to university. If everyone can make their kids do this simple thing- the rate of joblessness and stress won’t be much on society. A friend of mine was a welder for 6 years before he got admitted to Uniben to study Geology- after graduating, no Geology job and his brother took him to Italy

In that same Italy where most Nigerians have been beggars for 20 years - this dude is now a subsea welder after passing an easy 3 months certification and he is rolling in cash in that same Europe where his relatives are begging

His life skill saved him in far away Europe not the Geology theory he learnt from Uniben grin
wow I'm happy for him, one of customers went to learn offshore welding for three year, after his training his brother who is a prist in catholic did papers for him to Canada, now he is working one truck company and doing well....

Never go to school for the sole reason of getting a job, instead go to school just to gain knowledge, broaden your social network and learn social skills - public speaking, and all that- Do not expect to be rewarded with a job instead while in school, learn a life skill- electrician, auto mechanic, welding, tailoring, hair dressing, barbing, plumbing, draftsmanship, truck driving, culinary skills all that - chose one and learn it - and while you are doing your NYSC, look for somewhere to work for free so you can sharpen the side skill you learnt while in the university for 4 years - For instance, you can work for free in a local mechanic shop on saturdays from 8am to 2pm in the state you are posted to and once NYSC is over - you are the winner

IF you get a job with your degree, it’s all good

If you don’t get a job with your degree - you create a job for yourself self with your skill

OR - when you finish SS3 - go and learn work first while you prepping to go to University - after 2 years of learning work, you go to University and while you are in University you work only on saturday from 8am- 2pm to be gaining proficiency - when doing your NYSC, you should use that time to register your own business of the skill you learnt and after NYSC you are tour own Boss- the degree you have will make u more successful because you won’t be like the average mechanic who is an illiterate- your ways of conducting business will be different and your clients will be the rich and famous because they won’t be insulting you because they know you are educated- and you will manage yourself resources better too than the average road side mechanic

That’s a win - win siatuation - learn a life skill o
I totally agree with you... Thanks to my mom she paved way for me by making sure I aquired a skill before entering the university, that what's sustained me in school... I have graduated will be going to service this year and I'm planning to acquire more skills and add a professional course to it... I have good networking skills too... Even though Nigeria is hard, the future must be bright whether it like it or not....

I have also vouch that all my kids will acquire a skill after secondary school...

Bros explain to me how this OPM works...,
OPM simply means other people's money... Using other people's money to trade cryptocurrency, stocks or fx and distribute the profit accordingly... You must be trustworthy and very good with what you are doing for you to use other people's money... Using your skill to profit without using you own resources that primary objective...
The major problem is can people trust you with there money, will you deliver you promises....

As long as I have expert backup I don't have anything to loose... Life is all about risk

How do you do that successfully?
I met some individuals who has zero knowledge about cryptocurrency of are familiar with the word BITCOIN, I started with my sister, introduced her to it and showed her some fact about profit in the long run, she agreed and gave 200k for a start, the next was my friend brother who own a pharmacy told him everything he needs to know about cryptocurrency and luckily for me, he best friend was there with him and the two gave me 250k combine, the last person that gave me was a customer in my brothers shop, gave me 70k I introduced it to him and boom... That how I started trading... I usually update all of them about there money and ensure them there money is safe and sound, last month I mada profit and gave them there percentage, current more people are interested in it...

If you don't have capital, OPM is a way to go, forget people telling you about crowdfunding, it will be harder to get one in Nigeria...
Business › Re: How Can A Nigerian Business Startup Raise An Initial Capital? by Brunosamel(m): 4:22pm On Apr 26, 2021
Is quite hard to get one unless you well connected or from rich family members,

My advice work your ass off, save enough and start your business

If you are trust worthy you can use OPM to start your business.... Currently I'm using other people money to trade cryptocurrency distribute there profit by the month....
