jesmond3945:
go to middle east were their is money and invite them to come and eat. You would see the way they would insult you. There is poverty bro. so even amadioha cook fried rice and invite Nigerians they would still go and eat.

My brother, the folks who eat at my place are not street urchins nor are they poor people. They are people who have built their own houses, have their own cars and can afford the basic needs of life.
Now, I have not been to the middle east except on holidays so I can not say much about how they would react. The discussion here is about Nigeria and Northern muslims in particular, so I don't think the middle East is an important factor here.
Secondly, it is about whether Christ permits eating such foods or not. No body has shown me where that is stated in the Bible. The verses and chapters quoted are quite explanatory. It is sure that If Jesus was here today, we would have castigated him for being friends with Zaccheus and Mathew. These things we often do thinking that this is what God wants. Now let anyone who has proof that God said otherwise present it

Here is what Jesus said about food.

Jesus has spoken -- eating food will not make you unclean. grin cheesy

May God bless you for this. Even the verses in 1 Cor: 8 do not contravene this.

It only fake believers that practices what you are doing. Go to the north, you wouldn't see any Hausa/Fulani moslem accepting easter or Christmas meat(food) from Christians.

You can also visit the former eastern region and check if you will find any indigenous Christian accepting food or meat from moslems during their festivals

Yorubas are our major problem in Nigeria as a nation. They don't know what is abomination is religion or politics. No different between Yoruba Moslems and Christians. They can freely share their place of worship with each other. The will eat anything eatable and married themselves regardless of what their religious holy book said. Yoruba attached no value to their religious belief but their personal comfort

What you wrote is absolutely wrong. I live in the core North and every year, I have my Muslims friends celebrate with me. In fact last Easter, I am not sure they have finished eating the meat I shared during Easter, this year. We all should be careful with our utterances, we should refrain from saying things that are not as though they are

The answer you seek is in 1 Corinthians 8

pls study it with a good translation.

TRUTHS ABOUT THINGS LIKE THIS ARE NOT FOR DEBATE, IF TRULY YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN, Go to the bible and find your answers... ASSUMPTION IS COSTLY.

So, if I decide to exercise my freedom (just as Paul wrote) and eat the food with the knowledge that there are no idols (and I do it without causing the weak to lose faith) I should be fine. I have written this to assist those who may not have time to go read the Bible. This is in support of what the op posted to a reasonable extent.

the question is can Muslims accommodate Christians to pray to God in a mosque, we all know the answer

Yes, I think muslims should do a lot more in this regard. I can't imagine such happening in Iran, Saudi, Yemen etc.
Some muslims now make matters worse by saying it's a sign that Islam is going to dominate the world. How do they expect their hosts to feel? I wonder what they hope to gain by making such statements. It will only make people more wary of them. Hopefully, such muslims are not in the majority

Most Muslims can never wish happy Christmas or Easter, but some none Muslims will be wishing them happy Salah. Muslims are very bigotry. The criticize any Muslim who wish a none Muslim well.

Most of my muslim friends wish me merry Christmas and happy Easter. Yes, there are bigoted muslims same way there are bigoted Christians.

It is good to know that you are back on your feet. Mistakes have been made, but you still have some time to make amends. Stay true to yourself, maintain a close relationship with God and listen NOT to the naysayers. There are some things you can not change, go out there and LIVE. You may yet find a good man (if you want to) and make a great family with your younger kids. Even the older ones may come looking for you.

God bless Goodluck Jonathan. He had the vision, he knows how to take good advice from his appointees and formulate good policies.

That Steve Orosanya report hit the nail on the head.

We are still awaiting the PIB and the big one, the 2014 Confab report implementation. And to be honest with you all, we don't have a choice than to implement the Confab report.

I wonder why GEJ did not implement it. Having ideas is not enough, implementing it is perhaps the more important thing.
Ruling Nigeria is not an easy task. GEJ had brilliant people around him, just like is the case in many administrations that Nigeria has had. Naijja's problem has always been implementation.
IPPIS went the same way, protecting the sovereign wealth fund went the same way.

I pray that one day Nigeria will have the people (followers) as well as leaders with enough guts to implement policies to the letter, while having enough empathy for the people and great vision.

Na wao. I don’t understand these nigerians.

This coronavirus thing is a global health crisis. Every country is in lockdown. So why are these Nigerians living in Ghana sounding like they are hungry in Ghana because nobody is taking care of them? I am a Ghanaian. I live in Accra with my family. I have not received a dime or any help from the Ghanaian government because I don’t need it.

As they say, all fingers are not the same. So I understand that some people will feel the heat, but I find it embarrassing that a group of Nigerians living in Ghana are crying that they are hungry. Were they not working before? Didn’t they save money for emergencies like this? Why is it that Ghanaians are not crying about hunger in Ghana like Nigerians living in Ghana?

There is food, plenty food, in Ghana today. Those crying hunger are those who don’t have money. It is as simple as that. The Ghanaian Government is trying to help people in need, but I didn’t expect this group of Nigerians in Ghana to come out they way they have come out. It is not good for the image of Nigeria in Ghana. The government of Ghana is trying in this coronavirus era.

I feel your pains and I get your point. That video only represents the view of a few and not the majority. It's difficult, but do not generalize. Asides, there are a number that have a false sense of entitlement.

Travel / Re: The True Story Of Molestation Of Nigerians In China by bskyb(m): 7:33am On Apr 15, 2020
chrisxxx:
*From a Nigerian in China: molestation? What molestation?*

[Copied]

The true story about what is happening in China to Nigerians

*My brother, there's nothing much that happened. I don't need to ask you what you heard because about 20 people have asked me about this. All my customers, my relatives, my friends have all asked me this question, so I know you want to ask me about chasing black people out of their homes and out of the hotels.*

*You know how our people behave. Once they hear stories, they add their own, mix it with yam, and add ugba to make it more beautiful. I just got home from work and just got out of the shower. So about the video you watched, the story you heard happened in Guangzhou.*

*Before the borders were closed and flights were stopped from coming in, some of our people had come to buy goods. The Chinese asked them self-isolate. That took them to a hotel because they told all the hotels not to allow foreigners. The cops are the ones who will pick you up, check you out and put you up in a hotel. They will check you every morning, test your temperature to see if you have any symptoms. After 14 days they release you so you can do your business.*

*But 3 to 4 days before that 14 days was over, they discovered that three of our people had the symptoms. Eventually, they found out that 2 (of the 3) people had malaria or typhoid or something, but one person had coronavirus. They wanted to treat the one that had it, but he refused and said they wanted to inject him with the virus and kill him. They told him they didn't want to do that but just wanted to treat him like they also treated their people, but he refused.  Instead, he fought those medical workers, and I don't know if they said he hit one of them in the eye or somewhere. But you know white people's body, the person got a bruise or a black eye, and the locals got angry about that when they heard the story. Because of that, even the chairman of the Nigerian community in China got involved and begged the man to calm down and get treated. The Chinese said that after treating him, he would be deported and they agreed.*

*Because of this, they started monitoring the blacks to check for the symptoms. They went to places that black people ate. They found a Nigerian guy called Emma, who was married to a Chinese woman. The woman cooks food and people had been eating there for weeks. They found out that the woman went to her village and came back with the virus. The woman didn't self isolate for 14 days but started cooking for people. They also found out that it was mostly black people who patronised the woman. So they shut down everywhere that had predominantly black people in Guangzhou.*

*All these things happened in Guangzhou, but people made it sound like it was happening in the whole of China. Anyway, they shut down everywhere the blacks eat in Guangzhou. They rationalised that if it was black people who patronised the woman, and she had been serving them for days, some black people would have contracted the virus from the woman. Because of that, they asked those people who had been in isolation to remain indoors until they sort out the issue with this woman and the people she came in contact with.*

*They got health workers to move from house to house to check people and run some tests. They do the tests, ask you to wait for 24 hours, and after 24 hours if you test negative, they give you a card to be able to go out. Now that card is what you would use to go to the markets and different places. So these people were asked to stay indoors until the tests had been done for everybody so that they could figure out those who had it and those who didn't have it, but they refused. They said they had been isolated for 14 days, so why should they be asked to stay inside. They all defied the orders and went out. Now the law that was given to all the hotels was not to allow any foreigners in except for one hotel. That one Hotel was also instructed not to let anybody out or in. But you know how our people behave, they all gathered, making noise and all went out together. When they wanted to go into the markets, they were asked to show their cards because the locals had been told to always ask for cards to know those who had been tested. So when they didn't show their cards, they were not allowed into the markets, and when they got back to the hotel, the management refused to let them in because that was the instruction by the police. Then they started the story that Igbo people were being chased out of their apartments and hotels and asked to go home. That's the story now.*

Nothing else happened but what I have just told you. People see the video and start screaming "look how they are throwing Igbo people and black people out" but you were asked to stay indoors so they can sort things out. They are trying to solve this problem so the virus can be under control before they let people in.

For those of us here, we were isolated, tested and issued our cards before we were able to move around. But people coming in want to move around without testing, and it's not good for the people who are already in there. That's what they were trying to sort out, but our people didn't understand this, and it caused problems after they defied the instructions, saying they were not allowed to go inside.

Then for those who left their homes, they would go to those homes check to see if they were home and if they weren't they locked up the house because everyone was asked to stay at home so they can check you and test. So when they get there and you not at home, where did you go to? Everyone was asked to stay at home, and when you defy, and they lock your home, then you come out and say you were thrown out of your home.

When they asked us to stay indoors, I stayed in for a month and two weeks. I didn't step out. Today no one has evicted me from my house, and no one has asked me not to come in. Even when I resumed my trading business, I did that for one month, and they called me again, gave me test kits that I had to use every day to check myself for 14 days. I did that and showed them the results.

Follow the rules so things will be easy for you, but you think they're trying to cheat you. Do you think it's Buhari leading this country? So anybody telling you anything, ignore them. Lots of (fake) news out there.

Facts are sacred. Let's get facts
