Martian:The Bible is not literal and neither are Gods. I know because I have bothered to study widely to become intelligent enough to reason with my own brain and mind, I guess, and I bet you can too. Go on, try it with the mountain and see if you can't. I mean, just read what you wrote above, showing an understanding that Plato's forms are not literal, hence your ability to see Jesus was a form of the Logos. Figuratively speaking, one could say if one does not learn to read and understand Logoi, one would fail, which in religiospeak could be "without Jesus one would go to hell", after all, its quite easy to see that overall, the uneducated suffer much more than those who have learnt to use their brains. As for the Road to Damascus, even if he meant it literally, one can understand it figuratively, can't one? Martian:No, Martian, it is not my interpretation, but my understanding. The Bible, you see, is a very big book which one must take as a whole in order to understand it. 1 Corinthians 13, for instance, can be described as the Gospel of the Fruits of the Spirit, and is produced by those who have an understanding of that which is good. It's like if I slap you and steal your money and rape your husband you will likely say I'm evil, but if I feed you when you are hungry, clothe you when you are naked, give you a job when you are unemployed and respect your wife and family and you, you are more likely to regard me highly and treat me respectfully unless you are insane, of course. Those who endeavour to understand the difference between good and evil will see the fruits one produces to determine if God exists for the person or not. By the way, you might be interested in my Fruits of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. |

LordReed:Ono read the headlines but failed to go behind the paywall. |
PDPGuy:Lol you, if you think ono knows what "standing" means. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/12/08/texas-sues-four-battleground-states-in-supreme-court-over-unlawful-election-results.html

If you had been "living a righteous life" as you claim, you would have been studying really hard for this exam and would not need to "engage in the act of cheating" to pass. So, my question to you is, were you "living a righteous life"? |

Do you not think it would be easier for you to get a response if you left out the needless words? Martian:To speak wisely and intelligently. Martian:The ability to predict the future. I.e Dr Fauci stating, "if you do not keep distance, wear a mask etc, more will die of coronavirus", a prophecy some are discovering is true. Martian:As in, seek knowledge so as to understand, like a doctor who knows village people did not make ill the fool who drank polluted water. Martian:You mean Paul was an arrogant fuq? I agree. He was very well learned and knew it. A more modest Paul would have said "know a lot", and not "all". Martian:Figuratively, of course, as in, overcome seemingly immovable objects. Like the Buhari regime overcoming the currently seemingly immovable boko haram. |
FBS:Mercedes seemed to have suffered from not having the Hamilton effect, which just goes to show how specially talented he is. Bottas was the only lucky person in that race. If Russell had won it, Bottas would have had to go look for some other car to drive. I hear Volkswagen have a vacancy. |
Uyi168:Yeah, I know. |
Martian:Paul usually does not talk literally, and is one of the more complex to understand being that he was highly classically educated as one can tell by his Plato quoting, amongst many others. I understand him to mean that it's rather senseless and stupid and ignorant to claim or believe a God exists when one behaves as if that God didn't exist. |
GreyLaw:I think an honourable person like you should quote me and accept how wrong you are since I would have most definitely moved on by then. |
I know you'd still be ranting and raving come 2024 when Biden's time comes to an end. Thankfully, there'd be even fewer magas standing then. DCatt: |
I find it a great pity that God exists in the mouths of some but God is crucified in their hearts. If only they bothered to understand what they read instead of merely believing, their fruits might be as their words.
|
DCatt:I think he might be trying to get over your loss. It must be very painful. |
[quote author=DCatt post=96842161]This is why you don't speak certain things in front of kids, Biden's mind is like that of a child now. He said he will pretend to develop a disease as an excuse to resign. you as usual failed to bother to understand what he was saying. Perhaps get the rest of his speech and be enlightened instead of being a lazy fuq. |
Martian:buda is not a believer. I have read a book about what you describe though. |

Dtruthspeaker:"The knowledge and understanding for us to use to quash them all" may "have also been supplied and put into this world", but it is not like manna that just falls on one's head from heaven, which is why the Lord God Almighty put a brain in our heads and our loving parents invest a lot to ensure we acquire an education so that our God given brain is filled with knowledge and understanding. |
Dtruthspeaker:If you say so, though I must wonder what Lord you speak of that makes you claim one is evil, rebellious and foolish like a phone. |
Dtruthspeaker:I do not know how to deal with your baseless assumptions and insults than to thank God that you live and hope you continue to be blessed. Amen |
Dtruthspeaker:Knowledge is beneficial to me because it increases my understanding and makes me wiser and more able to competently resist evil and worship the Lord my God. |
Your post made me read up about him. And, no, I'm not a football fan but do support Millwall because I can very almost see the Den from my window. I could write a book of 200 pages of my two years at Inter with Mario, but the book would not be a drama – it would be a comedy. I remember one time when we went to play Kazan in the [2009–10] Champions League. In that match I had all my strikers injured... I was really in trouble and Mario was the only one. Mario got a yellow card in the 42nd [20th] minute, so when I got to the dressing room at half-time I spend about 14 minutes of the 15 available speaking only to Mario. I said to him: 'Mario, I cannot change you, I have no strikers on the bench, so don't touch anybody and play only with the ball. If we lose the ball no reaction. If someone provokes you, no reaction, if the referee makes a mistake, no reaction.' The 46th [60th] minute – red card! |
Thankfully however, somewhere is it written that, thou shall find if thou seek. |
Erojepromise:Guess you just need to understand that some will be jealous at your blessings. |
Erojepromise:So, you and boxer007 and OscarJaden are hugging all the men! Must be a reward for looking so cute. |
raumdeuter:There are more lawyers seeking work than get paid 80k and even more who are not millionaires. Most are not as lucky as Rudy who found himself a maga. |
raumdeuter:Well, seems to me you ignore the problem of the cost to taxpayers under the current loan system. https://wolfstreet.com/2020/11/22/taxpayers-face-435-billion-in-student-loan-losses-already-baked-in-department-of-education-study/

raumdeuter:I don't agree that SL should be left alone because too many learning institutions are fleecing students, and taxpayers. https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2014/09/the-law-school-scam/375069/

yes it is, but it is to seek those things which are needful and beneficial to you.
