I'm not dying anytime now... So sorry.. I don't have Corona, moreover, I'm living to declare God's word for a very long time
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ the Messiah will your days indeed be long upon the land the Lord thy God has given thee. Amen.

Sharap you Buharist!!!!!!! Chloroquine has been proven to have a 100 percent efficacy against COVID and Trump never said bleach was a cure to anything ...You Muslims should leave Trump alone and take your problems to Saudi that put you in this bondage in the first place
I wonder why people keep calling buda a Muslim as if being a Muslim is some sort of disease. I bet you pressume to be a Christian too and do not consider me your neighbour or your enemy even whom Christ taught you to love!

No need to be rude. Just go and catch coronavirus and cure yourself with chloroquine.

They have no self control? It must be because they have not yet evolved from their animalistic state!

At least it went through credible trials, unlike the chloroquine and bleach that one country's president was touting as a cure!

Ah well, I guess there's no need to be responsible. We see a lot of abandoned people who had no parental guidance here every day, so why should they guide their own offsprings?

What I still do not understand is how it is possible for the same America that I watch in movies, the America that I saw in fringe TV series and Kyle XY, America that has CIA, FBI, NSA, Homeland Security over 50 satellites spying on the rest of the world actually fall for something like this after having so much time to prepare.

Either this present generation are nothing but shitheads or the whole thing is just scripted, I mean how can America be behaving like Nigeria, where are the George bushes and Bill Clintons of this world
You must have been fooled by the propaganda they show you on telly.

They have not been recognised, up till now we still have 774 Local governments in the country.
This is because this part of 1999 constitution must be fulfilled:

When the State creates new local government areas with a valid law, the National Assembly is
required to pass an Act to update the names and headquarters of such local government areas
created (Ogefere, 2006). The failure of the National Assembly to carry out this constitutional role
has held such valid law of the State ineffective (A-G of Lagos v. A-G of the Federation, 2004).
The implication of this is that the power granted by the constitution to the State can when
exercised be taken away.
You are absolutely correct that the Federal Government has not recognized them, but its still a fact they have been created.

Federal Government is wise not to recognise them since recognition would mean increasing allocation to the states that created them, which would just make a state create as many local governments as it can so it can get more money. If it were so easy, each family will be a local government in its own right.

I can't quote scripture for what one can see with one's own eyes if one checked the evidence and assuming your own misunderstanding of a book written 2000 years ago is more scientifically valid than all the evidence we have been able to amass since then is just plain stupid and beyond me as Pat Robertson who also reads and preaches the exact same book is telling you.

You know the way the law works, Federal controls virtually everything. Little or no autonomy exist for the State or Local. Why is it impossible for State to create Local Governments? 1999 constitution too ambigious sir. Electoral reform can only come from NASS and signed by the President
Didn't Lagos State create new local governments under Obj? They stuck 2 fingers up to the Federal Government if I remember correctly. That O-thief Aregbe created what I'd call, sub-local governments in my own Osun State too before he left, so it's not as impossible as you claim if the state is willing to bear the consequences.

Redcrafton:
This thread is for academic purposes and not market square gossips...

The topic is about those who have been benefiting for decades...Nigeria didn't start in 2015.
No one said Nigeria started in 2015! One thing the thread does show though is that we fail to realise we are all in this together.

How can anyone claim the North that has the lowest education rate in the country is more developed! A few good roads here and there for poverty stricken almanjeris to drive their phantom benz while their educated leaders are sharing all the money that's meant to develop them? At least down South we'd be ranting and wailing. In parts of the North we'd watch our governor receive dollars and still elect gandollar!

There's a 'class' of people who do benefit in Nigeria, and smartly, they are not all from one region. And until we open our eyes and recognise that fact instead of continuing to be divided so we can easily have the wool pulled over our eyes, the more undeveloped we are all going to become, especially now that no one is buying our one single asset!

I know what you are trying to do, but it won't work cheesy

Yes, Yorubas are the only ones benefiting in Nigeria.cheesy

We have produced more president and have more local governments, international and federal airports, institutions than any other institution in Nigeria. cheesy

In fact, every Yoruba person is given a million every month by the state. cheesy

Tomorrow you still be the one to call the same Yorubas the slaves in Nigeria grin
Don't mind some people! Election time, some regions were boycotting. Now we who did not boycott are receiving a million each every month (my own is daily and in pounds!), the boycotters are complaining!

Exactly... You lose nothing
That would depend on whom "you" are.

You'd be in the money if you have space to sell, but if like Nigeria you have oil to sell, you'd be paying the buyer instead, which makes me wonder at the downside up world we now found ourselves in.

The devil in me wishes it would go on for a long while so we may decide to utilise our crude oil ourselves instead of sending it abroad to be refined then bought back at a premium, but I think someone is praying too hard for me.

Seriously? Hello! It's not their fault that they did not listen to the WHO they contribute the most to! And they do blame WHO, and China, and Biden even.

It's obviously everyone else's fault but America's that so many Americans died, according to some!

by their names supported with the way they write you can already tell they are northerners.

no southern graduate writes like that
I'm afraid I can not reason like you do. If I did, I'd assume you are from the North too and not a graduate, since you don't capitalise the initial letters of your sentences as graduates would have been taught to, and your real name could be Abubakar for all I know.

Sorry, but anecdotal evidence like you are presenting don't quite cut it. There are enough non-north sounding names on Npower FB comments, and who's to say most of the other non-northerners who did benefit just don't bother to post their thanks on FB?

Go and apply for Npower and come tell me how they refused you because you are not from the North or have been educated.
