Romance › Re: The Yoruba Curse; if them born you well. by budaatum: 9:31pm On Feb 06, 2020
Charleys:
Have you used this word before? Why do you use the word?
Yes, I use it often. I am constantly saying dem never born the Fulani who would forget they are guests and start terrorising my Orolu Kingdom. It is not a threat, but a statement of fact that dem born dem well which is why they would not forget. See below.

Your girlfriend saying "who born me" is not a curse either. She's just saying she was not born with the string balls that you were that makes you do what she can't do. Though my mama would slap that "can't" out of her mounth, lol.

budaatum:
Please stop! I, am a farmer. My land is close to water where grass grows so cattle rearers come there to fatten their cattle. They even come on my land and eat my cassava, so this is not something I need to read lazy anecdotal reports in newspapers to know anything about!

Just think. These cattle rearers have to move their cattle around in our villages and through our farms. Do you seriously think Yoruba people are so spineless that we will know that these same herdsmen are kidnapping and raping our people and we would not enter bush that is on our land and go and do festival with them and their cattle? Does that not make you wonder, or do you think we are so afraid of dying?

You will recall that I called you to this thread specifically because of our discussion regarding work. And I've mentioned corruption in our own individual understanding of things, and corruption in our own actions. Corruption in our understanding is when we have not been sceptical enough and claim that things we know barely nothing about are true. And work is what we do when it is said that we have used our heart and soul and mind to delve into things to ascertain the truth instead of being lazy and just believing whatever we hear.

Now think. You already pointed out that there are no jobs. So explain to me what you think unemployable me, even if there were jobs, would do when there are no jobs? Is it not likely that I turn arm robber? And if I were Yoruba, would I not camouflage myself as say Fulani, so I am not easily detected especially since I know you are already gullibly quick to call me Fulani herdsman even when you see nor smell no cow? Don't you think I could possibly be smart enough to utter some words that make you think I am indeed Fulani even though for all you know I could be speaking Spanish?

I can assure you that dem never born the fulani herdsman to come to the Orolu Kingdom of Ifon Osun to come and be rearing cattle on our land and then be raping and kidnapping my people. As we say, "kini a fi oro se ni ilẹ wa?" And I bet you that the Orolu Kingdom is not unique in doing oro!
budaatum:
My own Yoruba race has not been exposed to "murder and bloodshed".

As I've repeatedly told you, nobody born the Fulani or anyone else's mama and papa to come to the Orolu Kingdom to murder and bloodshed!

It is our land! If guests do not know their place we will do festival with their cattle, and will not need Amotekun because we are not a disorganised Kingdom like you seem to have become!

But you forget say that same money or even more than that their people dey earn working for just some hours a day as minimum wagehuh

How many Nigerians dey earn 27k even for a day as minimum wagehuh
I don't get you, quite, but you don't have to spend ₦27k educating yourself if you don't earn so much.

Op already showedhe did a lot of spending on previous education of himself to put him in a position to spend 27k on this learning in Athens. He visited places in Nigeria, and must have read some cheaper books for instance in order to know there was a museum in Athens worth visiting to begin with. And then see how he is sufficiently knowledgeable to leverage his education by putting his experience on youtube, I am sure, to acquire some income to pay for further learning and likely make profit too.

I have a friend who might recommend a few learning materials if you are interested.

Femiblacky, you got anything on this topic please? And op, got any recommended reads for those of us who can't get to Athens? Thanks.

Those who invest in themselves earn more.
Politics › Re: The Political System I Think Can Suit Nigeria Most But Can Never Be Executed!!! by budaatum: 8:30pm On Feb 06, 2020
bigiyaro:
Nigeria is too Large, over populated, deeply divided, irreconcilable differences among its citizens (no matter the pretence, culture, religion, ethnicity, mutual suspicions and the backwardness of the North) to be a single country. On that precious day, it will disintegrate and reaggregate itself.
Have you considered how larger populated and more ethnically and culturally diverse nations co-exist.

Consider India, China, America, all with larger populations, though you may likely not know they are as diverse if not moreso than Nigeria. Even America, that might seem the least not so is very diverse indeed with diverse Europeans migrating there to begin with then millions of Africans from all over plus many others since.

We might not disintegrate. It is just possible that we educate ignorance out of ourselves and learn to live together like other larger nations have. And once we do, we might just educate the rest of Africa too.

Amujale:
I agree with you.
I knew you would one day. You blame those who brought us scripture while I blame we Africans ourselves for being so unsmart to not understand and develop the power of the written word but instead teaching it to Moses, which is why it is written that "out if Egypt I called the Word", and why we read his version today instead of ours which we wrote on stone and forgot how to read.

But even in Moses version, we see our truth. Imagine they told their lies and we don't have a copy of the book to read like they used to do when they kept it in unreadable Latin (and as Islam still does by keeping the Quran in Arabic)! Thankfully, they have to promote those lies amongst themselves and others by translating it into local lingo and we now get to read them too.

Our problem is it is new to us so we still think it was written and came down from heaven. So instead of trying to understand what we read, we ignorantly believe it despite the warning that believe is what satan does and trembles.

I am grateful we have the religious books, amu. First, they teach us to read. And second, they are like mud that Christ spits on and rubs in our eyes so that we too may one day see. Its also why I have respect for you behaving like a talking serpent in the Garden of Eden and like Jesus Christ with his mud (though I bet you don't see yourself those ways).

Amujale:
The African woman is God.

I aint saying that the African woman is The Creator of the Universe.

The African woman is the progenitor of the human race.

One doesnt have to overstand in a philosophical sense, however, when we look at the analytical, biological and proto-social evidence then the above statement is conceivable.

Furthermore, we have been taught for years without end that the African man is God.

Lets all collectively lift up an exalt the African woman even higher than is already done.

Not to be conflated with the Almighty God, that which IS the most important state of existence.
You often talk about lies in the Bible. I will share two.

Eve in the Garden of Eden is a story of a thoughtful woman advising her man to evolve. Man, in fear of the power of the woman, renamed thought, snake, and forbade the use of the mind and brain for fear of 'death'. Only the immature still believe in the talking serpent.

Another is Mary. Note how she was quoting scripture and talking to Angels before Christ was born. She educated her son Jesus Christ so well that he is now seen as a God. If she had not educated him he would have been a carpenter ministering to wood!

One might not know any of this if one did not read it in their lies, lies that one could say God made them write so we may learn the truth.
