What could I mean other than that God is not bound by an election that He didn't sanction, just because the eleven were involved and because they prayed before concluding it? How on Earth can anyone read what I wrote and interpret it in the manner that you just did?
What you wrote is very clear for everyone to read Ihe, please. How do apostles give God options to pick from?

Pity is, for the gain going home, you got to leave at 7pm after all the traffic has died down angry

Honestly? I think you just post plenty word thinking it would beffudle the mind and one wouldn't note you are saying nonsense when the truth is you are saying nonsense to hide the truth from yourself!

How, mutt, does the above mean, "giving the Lord Almighty a choice"?

Note Ihe sliding away from his claim that God chooses between options given to God by apostles!

Ihedinobi3:
The Lord does as He pleases. And He did in this case. He chose His Own man at the time that He intended, and a prior election was not binding upon His Own Sovereign Choice.

Yep, "... gave God two options ..." It is always the case like that and not unusual to then after, expect and/or leave God, to pick up and fix the pieces, lol. They say God is bad, God is wicked, God is cruel, God is inconsiderate, God is careless, when all God ever does is Good. This sentiment is perfectly encapsulated in Jeremiah 29:11, that says: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end".
Some yeye apostles are telling God Almighty to choose out of two options? huh huh

That is, they gave God two options and told Him to pick one. There is nothing in there that even looks like a request for counsel. What if God didn't want any of the two that they chose? What then?
Listen to yourself, ihe. "They gave God two options"!

Even if its true, that is what is written in your own Bible, don't you have enough sense to consider that you might have been reading a bad copy if you can't at least humble yourself and seek understanding?

Op, have you got a thread where you defined what devil is? Link please! While I wait, I'd find it absurd to worship God because of the devil. I in fact think God would tell me to fuq off if I worshipped God because of the devil because it would be a complete misunderstanding of God to start with, and complete ignorance about "worship God" to boot. But then, you did say "believe", and what else would believers do but tremble in fear!

Those who truly worship God don't worship God because of what they fear but because of the rewards!

Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and govern it and reign over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and all the animals that scurry along the ground, and you will be blessed.

"Be blessed" is the 'reward'.

Been owning one over 20 years and i go to the shooting range once in a while. The only time i shot my Glock was the day my wife gave birth to Jnr after three girls and i came from the hospital, went into my backyard and empty the fifteen rounds of bullets in celebration. The problem is people not responsible. I always have my gun in my glove compartment sometimes because I live in a Concealed and Carry State and i will be damned if I can't defend myself or my family. Sometimes, I even have my gun on me without exposing it depending on the neighborhood I go to. 2nd Amendment is in America to stay but there's need for modification which the NRA and Republicons will never support.
Wtf! Lol! Where the fuq do you live or go to that would require you to point a gun at a person and shoot!? Just the thought of owning one unless I live in the sticks where there's no one to shoot makes me shudder!

Hello.

Why then does the Bible say the following?

14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
(KJV) Ecclesiastes 3:14

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
(KJV) Revelation 14:9-11

10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever...14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
(KJV) Revelation 20:10, 14-15
Damn! I am definitely not "one of them" ihe!
Imagine being "one of them" who believes the stuff you quote above and claim the Bible said when the truth is you read it in the Bible and are equating your own lack of understanding for the Word of God! Seriously, I'd quote Exodus 20:4 at you, but I am certain you'd believe images are physical!

Please know that I am going to be responding to you from now on, not for your benefit, but because it is my opinion that your own understanding must not be the only.

Just like i said before, you've never lived in a foreign land. You only imagine what it would be like. You have a theoretical idea of what its like but i can assure you it doesn't bind with the reality. No amount of loving people would necessarily 'make' them love or respect you back.

OP is making the best of China because it is still far better for him there than the shit hole that is Nigeria. What i'm telling him (and what he obviously is thinking as well) is that although things are better for him in China than Nigeria, he doesn't have to rest on his laurels and can still aim for an even better environment for himself. End.
First, you telling me where I live instead of asking where I live shows you are telling me what you can not possibly know. Second, I'm not the one who born op or told op to go to China in the first place so why would I pressume to be in the position to tell op where to go? huh And third, if you go through some of my recent posts, you'd see a "lazy fuq", so why would I tell already ambitious op who has been to a place I've only dreamed of visiting and read about so much, to rest on his laurels? Must I be a lazy fuq? sad

Please let us not fight over this, I beg you. I'm speaking much here because I love this thread, and want it on frontpage, and know people might benefit from going to China. And I want to learn about China from op myself so that maybe one day I too can be like op. My only error is that I speak, and from personal experience. They are faults of mine. And I'm respected for it wherever I go, except amongst weird people and lazy fuqs. We can very easily check though, if you wish. I, will love you. You will experience loving me back because I always reap what I sow.

Just one more thing. Nigeria is not a "shit hole", in my opinion, there's just too many lazy fuqs shi‡ing on Nigeria. If there were fewer lazy fuqs Nigeria will be heaven. But we work at it. Reducing the lazy fuqs, I mean.

You judge acceptance by how many local women you are able to bleep? It seems you've never lived in a Western/Foreign Country that's why you think that way. It's more than dating local girls or having a job. It's the way the local people treat you and others like you. You will know if you are truly welcome by your everyday interactions with the people and the system.
No, I don't judge acceptance by how many local girls one is able to bleep, though I don't think people who don't accept you will bleep you. I judge the ops acceptance by the ops overall tone which does imply he is accepted. If he wasn't, I expect to hear it in his tone. And to confirm, I asked if he works there, which would only be possible if he was accepted. And to be honest with you, I think his acceptance is due to his own acceptance of others. He reaps only the acceptance that he himself sows, and if he was unacceptable he wouldn't be accepted, I think.

Not true! There are reports written by people that "God gets angry, upset, vengeful, jealous, takes rests", is closer to the truth, and it is possible that they could have been wrong or not exactly understood God. How I view it?? If God says he kills and destroys, how else am I supposed to view and interpret that??
So tell, when you read your Bible, there's bits where God wrote God killed people? Is it not the truth that someone wrote what they claim God did?

I'll give you an example so you can get your head around it.

Why is it written "And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light"? Surely if God wrote it, it ought to read "I, God, said, "Let there be light and there was light"? Or don't you know how English Language works?

Was anyone there to witness God saying whatever God said? And if not, have you ever asked yourself where the author got the narrative you read from?

1Sharon:
Christians feel that God kills people?
I do think the person I quoted in my first post on this thread believes and thinks he is a Christian, though I'd agree if you say he isn't. Would you say the person quoted does not feel, and believe, God kills people? Didn't you yourself claim and provide quotes to show you understand God kills and asks people to kill people?

1Sharon:
Why do you think they love to dismiss the old testament as irrelevant?
Can't say I know any Christians who "love to dismiss the old testament". What I do think is that you read it wrong. You can't even seem to understand how it came to be written for instance, which is fundamental to its understanding.

1Sharon:
Only 3 out of all the 10 can apply to most countries. You mean to say most countries have a law against disrespecting your parents?

So most countries have a law to keep the sabbath? Isn't the word sabbath subjective? Isnt the word holy subjective?
I'm sure most societies would rather you respect your parents. But I guess I haven't checked your neck of the woods so let me ask, does your society not teach you to respect your parents? Does your society not have a rest day too? Or is it their status as laws that you dispute?

That said, yes, "most". Respect your parents! Rest! Don't kill; don't steal; don't tell lies; don't cheat on your partner; don't be envious of what others have, be it their partner or their possession. 6 out of ten is "most" by my reckoning, and while no one would imprison you for not resting, for instance, I'm sure you'd agree that not resting and disrespecting your parents might present you with dire consequences.

By the way, those who give you the new testament alone are showing you compassion. I'm sure you'd be daunted by the size of the over a thousand page Bible, and even if you aren't daunted, you are showing a vast misunderstanding of it. "Believe", for instance, you say, and not "understand". I'm certain that if you read a Physics textbook and believe it you'd never be a Physicist. Besides, one must save cost too. There's after all no point giving you a book that is way to far above your level of comprehension to start with. It's why you are given what to believe, unfortunately, I say, though, rightly too. The hope is you'd read it and ask questions then get a copy of the rest of it and read it and ask more questions and then seek to understand. After all, it is rightly written in it that you should not live by the bread of belief alone, but by every word God wrote. Though, I must say that I don't quite think you know what the words in it might mean since you are at the trembling level of thinking it is for believing instead of understanding.

Your "trash", and "bye" and skirt reference is duly noted. Some things are beyond the level of some.
