gisevak: I would like to see someone who has gone so deep to find out if the gold is truly there or not. That means that person has the capacity to know the truth. To be honest and factual, I don't think there is anyone who has the capacity to verify the truth now. Nobody has ever performed any scientific experiments or something related to show that what we see is created or not. Or whether there is a creator or creators or not. Most are just making what I call logical guesses. I might be wrong, so prove me wrong if anyone has such capacity.
So, you choose to make a logical guess and believe instead of seeking to know? Isn't that what devils are written to do too and tremble while at it? Why emulate what makes devil's tremble?
I'm not going to bother trying to prove you wrong because that would be tantamount to trying to make you believe me instead, and I'd be depriving you of a learning opportunity. Do your own asking and knocking and seeking yourself. You may or may not find God but you'd learn a lot through seeking.
If you are a book believer, I'd suggest you read more and research the history of the book you believe in.
gisevak: No! I still lack belief in any known god or gods. But I am open-minded to the existence of the Creator because there is not enough evidence to disapprove of or approve of the gods. But my point is that there is more evidence of the existence of a creator than not. It's better if I am on neutral ground.
What you observe as created, is what exists and that you assume must have been created. And you assume that because you assume that things that exist must have been created by a creator and can not consider any other way that things might have come into existence.
Mount Everest Home to our planet’s highest peak (29,035 feet; 8,850 meters) Mount Everest the standard to which all other mountains are compared. The Nepalese name for the mountain is Sagarmatha: “mother of the universe.” Everest’s geological story began 40 million years ago when the Indian subcontinent began a slow-motion collision with Asia. The edges of two continents jammed together and pushed up the massive ridges that make up the Himalayas today.
gisevak: Let us take this analogy: I am not a sea diver, and so I don't have the capacity to go inside the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. I have tried to go deep, but I lack the capacity to do so. And I have a brother or someone that can go that deep into the ocean, or probably must have gone inside. And someone told me there was gold at the bottom of the sea. What would you do to verify the truth? So I lack the capacity to even reject the Creator. You can go ahead and provide that fact or books that claim there is no creator with 100 percent proof. I am open-minded about the Creator.
Your brother here would be the writers of the book they wrote and that you believe to represent what is inside the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.
And what if someone more qualified or up to date than your brother comes back from the bottom of the Pacific Ocean and tells you different to what your brother told you? Do you choose to believe one or the other or just continue to believe your brother instead of seeking to know with your own heart and soul and mind?
gisevak: See, I do not claim certainty about nonexistence of a creator or creators because i don't have enough facts to rejects its existence. Can you provide provide that fact?
So, you choose to believe instead? I like that. I have not bothered to check my bank statement, so I don't have enough facts to reject the existence of the million pounds I want to believe was deposited in it last week.
Most atheists do not believe gods do not exist. As opposed to having facts provided for them (as is expected by the believer who is lazy and prefers to be told what to believe), they do research by asking and knocking and seeking with all their own heart and soul and mind and being until they actually find out and therefore know that we humans create gods in our own images.
First though, you'd need Jesus Christ to open your eyes so you can see the facts.
kkins25: I see. I understand the POV. When you say "societal control" it creates the impression that some "monk" with fore knowledge, sat in a temple to construct the institute of marriage.
Perhaps, "societal control" is an inadequate term: How about leaning towards "societal organization?"
Saw this after mine above. Control does imply "some monk", while "organization" leaves some room for individual choice.
LordReed: I agree with you that people are too focused on counting the material aspects of marriage but I will tell you how it is societal control.
1. It prevents or at least minimises conflict about who people choose to mate with. 2. It allows lineages to be properly recorded. 3. It allows parents and children to be properly matched.
These and others are some of the reasons why marriage is societal control. Can we achieve these without formal marriage ties, yes but quite unlikely given the present state of human interaction.
What you call "societal control" could be seen as society organising itself.
Preventing or at least minimising conflict about who people choose to mate with, is a good thing. It reduces killings and death.
Allowing lineages to be properly recorded, is good, as lineages would know their line.
Allowing parents and children to be properly matched is good too, as parents would have the right children.
One more thing marriage does is ensure 4 hands bring up children, as opposed to only 2 hands, and that's a workload that's worth sharing if the intention is to do it right.
If I were going to add a warning to this I'd say, watch out for the snake oil. He sells gold, though through education you'd find if you watch the entire series, which I suggest should be watched.
Also, "should". 'Like, the value of money should be as stable as 12 inches equal a foot'. But for that I must confess my aversion to the 'should world'.
basilico: Trump was the CinC. Happy? That's very soothing and important to you, instead of wanting to know why cctv failed, while the jackass was under suicide watch. Better still, Epstein trafficked children. To who?
Stargangz: Female footballers and lesbianism are like 5&6. I dont know what joy this ladies derive in sucking each other kitten, very disgusting set of people.
They are running from men pigs I believe, who'd stick their diqs in whatever they can.
budaatum: I was at Ketu Busstop some almost many years ago when someone starting yelling "ole, ole". Suddenly, some man was grabbed and begun to be beaten. I jumped in, as small as I was, telling everyone it was not true, and eventually, he was let go.
What had really happened and which no one saw was that the person who yelled "ole" was the ole, and only began shouting when his hand was caught in the pocket of the person he accused. And when he shouted ole, the members of the Ketu Busstop Pickpocket Association joined in to protect him. . . . . That man, a teacher, paid my bus fare for that week, but we both had to avoid Ketu busstop for a while and walk to Ojota instead.
Awesome Singapore. Can't believe a Red Bull got on the list, but guess there's always Osama Bin Russell, though some say it was hustling Lewis being bad teammate.
States are currently running up huge debt they can not pay because their resources are being plundered by the federal government. The more they owe the more they'd begin to clamour to control their own resources.
HardMirror: In the process of beating you, your phones, wallet and other valuables, even your shoes will go missing. But you are fighting for your life, so you are not focussed on the things they are already stealing off you. But because Nigerians are superstitious, they would believe the criminals and join hands in beating the unfortunate young man they accuse.
Guys, be careful out there and let us ensure we hand these criminals to the police.
This format works because Nigerians are too superstitious.
cc. Seun, nlfpmod, Mynd44, OAM4J,
I can't believe this old scam still works. Bet Nigerians are even more superstitious since the 80s, especially considering the reduction in education funding.
AImiron: Their mumu fanbase go dey scream Guardiola use money dominate England and Europe, bunch of hypocrites they have the most expensive squad in the world, and they will never win any meaningful silverware this season, they will end up fighting for top4 as usual
Nlfpmod frontpage my boss
I was about to promote your frontpagism then you went and spoilt it with your bad belleyism.
basilico: Guess what. If they impeach traitor Joe and Kamala Harris, McCarthy becomes president He appoints Trump as VP then McCarthy resigns, Trump pardons himself and executes Joe Biden by public .hanging. Also jails Obama because he must have known Joe is a traitor, probably they shared some loot together when Joe Biden was selling out to China, Ukraine, Russia and Romania.
Basilico in wonderland where pie grows in the sky.
basilico: The car moved at least 50 ft with the cop bang on the way. The cop should have jumped off the way and let a pregnant black woman drive away with stolen liquor.
bemeruca: Aren't you ashamed of yourself? Why are you afraid of the truth? The media told you something. Have you tried to watch the police briefing? The video cut where she tried to run the cop over. They only showed a slit second of it.
Why will you be convinced? Your head is empty, isn't it?
Guess I am not as heartless as si you to be convinced she deserves to be shot for what you call running a police over.
Your video does not show "trying to run over a cop", and videos that show much more do not convince he was being run over. Besides, when did shooting become the judgement for shoplifting or not getting out of a car you can trace to its owner and arrest later?
