thebosstrevor1:A person who survives is strong. A person who thrives is even stronger. thebosstrevor1:If I am a man, I am definitely effeminate. You try it on with me please and let me show you how weak I am when I kick your ass to kingdom come! Ok, joke. You seem like far too decent a man to try anything on with me. thebosstrevor1:Violent kẹ! We are talking strong.you are talking violent! Why? Is strong and violent the same thing to you? Consider the following. Say you slap me on my right cheek and I turn the other cheek and you slap. That is me being strong. Now, I do not expect you to agree, but please let me know if you understand. It's like when people insult one on here and one doesn't insult them back but showers them with love. That is strength. thebosstrevor1:Here is that your corrupt definition of strong again. Strong does not mean, "she doesn't need a man". Strong means she wants a decent man instead of a pig. thebosstrevor1:A man does not validate a woman. A woman who needs validation is very weak indeed, hence their needing validation and support. A strong woman compliments her man and makes him stronger, and he in return compliments her and makes her stronger, because his strength and her strength joined together makes them superpowerful. thebosstrevor1:Some women kick their man out because he is a liability and no help at all financially and emotionally, and the fact that they now have to bear by themselves what she should bear with her man who is unfortunately useless may make her depressed, angry, and sometimes channel their frustration on their children and over pressurize them. And personally, I blame the pig. But if she were strong, she would easily bear it all without being depressed, angry, and not sometimes channel their frustration on their children and over pressurize them. I went to a funeral today of a wonderful strong woman, and her amazing children and wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her husband who was by her side all through her life. They all testified to her strength, amongst her many other desirable qualities. |
benalvino3:Now, you see the above? That's why I love the fact that the Supreme Court abolished RvW. Their decision means, me, the owner of the body, gets to choose by voting out those with policies I dislike and voting in those with policies I do like. Another word for it is democracy. |
benalvino3:Ben, I will always sound contradictory to you every time you read my post. And you will never get to the point where you get to square the circle in order for you to understand me. |
benalvino3:That's what you fail to understand, Ben. Of course it's my opinion, just as your's is your opinion too. The difference between us is you want to turn your opinion into law that you want me to accept and obey, to which I say, my body my opinion and my choice, Ben, and not your's.
|
benalvino3:I guess you think an abortion is like taking the morning after pill, so you don't think an abortee feels any trauma. I will not educate you. benalvino3:Yes I can abort anytime I want, law or no law at that. I have continuously informed you that I can abort you in the twelfth trimester. Go and work out how old you'd be at that age and you might just understand what I mean. benalvino3:They can abort anytime they like! benalvino3:This is a blatant lie, Ben. RvW was a law, and I never opposed it. There are laws that would be enforced 8f I abort you in the twelfth trimester, but that does not take away from me the power to abort you if and whenever I may want to. benalvino3:Ben, it is very noticeable that you do not understand me at all. But you keep insisting you understand me while making a fool of yourself for everyone to see. |
benalvino3:The policies are not the consequence Ben. The consequence of me aborting is the removal of a foetus from my body and the pain and trauma etc and even going to jail if I contravene existing laws that I have to bear from my actions. The policies are just you trying to stop me from bearing the consequences of my action! benalvino3:Yes, we are talking about people who want to abort anytime they like, like me aborting you in the twelfth trimester so long as I am willing to bear the consequences of aborting you whenever I want to. benalvino3:I am very certain the law can be enforced if I abort you in the twelfth trimester, Ben. The law is not that incompetent, unfortunately. benalvino3:I know it's far too complex for your tiny mind, ben, yet I live in hope of you understanding that it is my body my choice and I who bear the consequences of aborting you even in the twelfth trimester. There are laws after all that will come into play if I abort you in the twelfth trimester, and if I contravene those laws I will, if caught, have to bear those consequences, so why are you hell bent on stopping me from reaping what I sow, I wonder. |
benalvino3:See how you lie to yourself. Was I trying to impress a lawyer who recently turned up here since my own long time arrival on this thread? buda does not believe, Ben, and that must be a contradiction to a believer like you who can't understand that 'my body my choice' includes me bearing the consequences of all my actions. After all, if I abort you now the consequences are mine to bear while you'd just stop existing. |
Epositive:I think most people conflate religion with belief, and then go on to confuse themselves. I am religious in the sense that I constantly discuss religion and read religious books and have even at a time religiously gone to church. I am however not a believer, and nothing on this earth can make me one, as believing involves the acceptance of things as so without actually doing the work in order to understand and know if what is believed is true or not. To make it worse, many adopt the beliefs of those around them instead of studying the books for themselves in order to gain an understanding. It's why you'd see atheists, especially those who've converted from a religion, claim not to believe in gods or the god books. Why don't you believe in gods and their books, I often wonder? Should you believe in gods and their books? Would you believe a Physics book or Things Fall Apart, and would you not be doing harm to yourself if you did? My atheism is not a lack of belief in gods. I after all know that gods are made up, so why believe in made up things when I don't even believe in physical things that I see in front of me? I don't believe in my phone, after all, despite the fact that I pick it up and use it like 100 times a day. I don't believe in my car, nor my telly nor even in the food I put in my mouth, so why would I believe in things that only exist in people's imagination? If people seek to understand instead, I think they'd appreciate the religious books and see Jesus and Buddha and Mohammed as humanists, as in, those who cared about the welfare of those around them. Unfortunately, that aspect of religions are not what most are taught nor do they see that aspect for themselves, so instead of learning the freeing aspect of the books they read, they enslave themselves with them. That's why I don't date, I guess, though there are other reasons too, I admit. Most people I meet believe one thing or the other, which to me is rigid, and I can't make home with rigid people as I'm constantly learning and evolving. We may date, but it never takes long for me to evolve past them and leave them far behind. I know there are no gods, and that all we read about the so called gods are the thoughts and ideas of those who wrote the books. And once one realises that fact, one can use what one has learnt to write one's own book and create one's own gods. After all, they really are just ideas and philosophies by which we choose to live our lifes, so why not make the best gods (philosophy) for oneself and worship (live by) it? As for the spirit of things, which simply means the deeper understanding of things, as opposed to the literal surface meaning, it's the best way to look at things, I'd say, or a phone would just be a phone instead of the communicative tool it is, and food would be for hunger instead of that which nutrifies, and gods become things one bows down and worships instead of things that portray ideas to be understood and that may enhance one's own living. Try it. Read Genesis 1-5 and tell me if it enslaves you in a Garden of Ignorance, or frees you to be fruitful and multiply and subdue and rule over such that when you say "let there be light", the response is not NEPA! P.s. The intent of this is to provoke thought. You must not ever believe buda! If atheists understand their religious books, Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and Einstein and Fela etc will become gods, and atheists will steal them from those who ignorantly believe in them. I tell you, greater things than they did, excluding the literal fictional walking on water that is, shall we also do. |
1stGenAmerican:I think you have not got bas yet. He told dump! |
opera1: |
In remembrance. Never forgotten. Rip. |
And also read up on how Europeans enslaved themselves before they discovered you in Africa.
|
And in case you think slavery was an African thing, also read about the history of slavery too please.
|
Reflect7:Shows how little you know. Read up on Trans-Sahara Slave Trade that predated large ships, then come back for more education. Also learn some African history where you'd find Africans traded slaves amongst themselves, then we can perhaps debate who is the toddler between the two of us.
|
Yugoslavia247:You made this up! There is nothing in the story to show she ordered him about. She may be spending her money on him because she likes him, though that might be impossible for a weak improperly brought up man to believe. Those of us who had parents who went to study abroad would tell you stories of mother working while father studied. What's sad is, many men then dump the woman once they are done studying, which really shows the man is weak. |
thebosstrevor1:Haha! The issue seems to be with your definition. Strong does not have to be masculine traits, and effenimism in a man is not necessarily a weakness. They could just be gentle for instance, but strong too. A woman who puts a roof over the head of her children and pays their school fees and feeds them, is strong. She needs strength to do those things all by her self if say her husband dies or leaves her. Even coping with a husband who is less of man requires strength. And she must be strong if she's the boss where she works. Your mother is strong I bet. No man can mishandle her because I am certain she'd put him in his place. And I'm certain your father respects her strength, which strengthens her even more I'd say even without ever meeting her. Strong mothers bring up wonderful intelligent daughters and sons, and that is what many here lack that makes them not respect women.
|
thebosstrevor1:Perhaps my mother is a bit far off for you to see. Would I be wrong to say your mother must be strong? |
thebosstrevor1:I should introduce you to my mother. I swear you'd run! |
Hismasterpiece:Waiting to see whatever develops here. |

This is for all of those claiming this is a tribe thing or a country thing. The Area Dean was about to retire and work needed to be found for his paid secretary who was not retiring with him, so it was decided she would work as paid secretary for the churches in the deanery. However, the church in the image below, which was part of the deanery, already had a voluntary unpaid secretary. So they informed the voluntary unpaid secretary that she was incompetent and not up to the job and should no more do the job she'd been doing for 8 years, and they then hired the Area Dean's secretary and paid her instead. Now, for those who think it's a church thing, I bet you can come up with similar stories of untoward behaviour of people at work or school or mosque etc, because we all know bad people are everywhere.
|
Reflect7:Neither of you know what you are talking about and it is obvious to those who know better. As for the kid bit, you obviously have failed to read responses on your own thread or you'd hesitate to use that word to refer to me. Here is some very simply logic for you to start with. If I take you to market and sell you as a slave, would you blame me or the buyer? |
engrchykae:When your sort rob a bank you'd claim you were compelled so it's not your fault. |
It's been a while, ThePianoGuy. How you getting on in China? |
“He was not speaking on behalf of Christians or as the Chairman of CAN in Lagos. This is the sort of excuse I expect to hear when he's caught fuqing ashewo. "I was not fuqing her as a bishop", says bishop. Thankfully, we Nigerians get eye and brain. |
LordReed:Wahapen, my Lord? We not having fun? Or is it that some views and opinions are just too sad and ignorant to have fun with? |
Reflect7:There are people here who on reading the above will surely determine for themselves who between you and I "knows nothing about the slave trade and how it occurred", and who between you and I might have "studied or researched it in depth", and who between us "just typed ignorant rubbish off the top of your head", especially when they read your subsequent 'points' where you connect 16th century slave trade with 20th century CIA and FBI. There are many here too who will look around their homes and wonder why it is filled with tokunbo telly and their phone is tokunbo phone and their radio is tokunbo radio and their car is tokunbo car if as you claim "we have hundreds of factories across the nation manufacturing all sorts of things you know nothing about". For me, your lack of manners says it all. If your points were valid you'd express them without being rude. Reflect7, you've created a very informative thread here. Please do not now spoil it with ignorance and bad behaviour. |
wirinet:Say that again! For while it is written that God created humans in God's image, the truth is that every human creates their God in their own human image. wirinet:You are insulting my intelligence, wiri. I lie to you that my God helped me win wars against my enemies and encouraged me to the murder my enemies and rape their young women, and you are willing to accept that nonsense from me? If I am judged and found guilty would you let me go and instead throw my God in prison or kill it in a gas chamber because my God is responsible for my raping and murdering? Perhaps abandon gods and read the book, is what I'm going to suggest to you, because no God is responsible for the stupidity of humans, and any misunderstanding of a book is the full responsibility of the ignorant reader. |
VULCAN:Vulcan, this is funny. How does one "clearly imply" an assertion? If one asserts, is one not more than implying? Very funny indeed. |
thebosstrevor1:Those who deserve to find me will find me.
|
Cti28:I wish I could send you their contact details so you can inform them for me. They might listen to you rather than the atheist me that they would never listen to. Christ's reaction to the woman in question is likely to be "‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ |
