TenQ:Good things are never easy, TenQ. And that's why we trust God and do the work God empowers us to do by learning all that God teaches us. Though remember I did say God would never create me to "be fruitful and multiply and rule" and then ask me to be ignorant and demote me to work naked in a Garden. I've been watching the Queen's funeral all day. Now, those Brits sure are fruitful and do multiply and most certainly do rule, with the powers invested in them by God I dare add, considering the two services in two churches. |
robinso01:I'm sure you meant Nigerians. Me and you, that is. Unless by "Nigerian government" you meant those imposed on us from Mars and not elected from amongst us by us. But don't you worry. We will insist on being responsible one day. I promise us. |
Calexzy:This is the point you lost any positive sentiment I had for you, and you began so well with your "Mornings are meant for productivity, planning of the day and feeling at the uppermost part of your spirit"! No one is coming to save you, but I trust you will consider saving yourself when your thousand Naira buys you less than a teaspoon of petrol, because one day, if we Nigerians do not get off our asses and be more productive, that day will one day come.

basilico:As I said and have said many times, "If you want my attention, you just have to use your brain and resist telling lies".
|
shogsman:Lol. |
mysticwarrior:It's Britain, lol. We can be very irreverent where our political leaders are concerned, especially ones we did not elect like Truss. But honest. I don't know that anyone would want to throw eggs at Truss. Just that I would not be surprised if someone did, so she'd know better not be too lax in her security. |
Shoodboi:And that is precisely my point. Your own is to feel disrespected because you are told to get the bus or because your friend serves you a meal on a plastic plate with a plastic spoon and both reduce your self esteem, while my self esteem is not in any way affected by getting the bus or being served a meal by my friend on a plastic plate with a plastic spoon and nor am I disrespected. It's the same way you thought you could have an impact on my self esteem by disrespecting me in your initial response to me, and I hope I have shown you that your disrespect has no impact on my self esteem. It's called self esteem for a reason you see. One determines one's self esteem oneself instead of letting the respect or disrespect of others determine how much self esteem one must have for oneself. And if my friend, note, my friend; decides to serve me on a plastic plate with a plastic spoon, I can either decide my "own" is that 'friend' is not my friend or is so much my friend that he expects me to understand that there might be reasons for serving me on a plastic plate with a plastic spoon, which might be because my friend is so my friend that he expects me to understand and accommodate him while he serves his less of a friend guests with the expensive china because they just might feel disrespected and not be as friendly to accommodate him as much as I might. Thankfully, the leaders who got the bus do not feel disrespected, and nor has their self esteem been negatively impacted, or at least I've not heard any of them say their's has. Thanks for your time Shoodboi. I am respected by you serving it to me however you felt like, and my self esteem is very much intact. |
Shoodboi:Dude, please! This friend you mentioned will not force me to eat "a meal in a plastic plate with a plastic spoon" and neither do I have to eat "a meal served on plastic plate with a plastic spoon" if I don't want to eat or if I find eating a meal on a plastic plate with a plastic spoon to be disrespectful. It's not by force that I eat what I don't want to eat especially if I do have respect for myself or if that respect is impacted by a mere "meal in a plastic plate with a plastic spoon", though I would ask myself how I stooped so low as to let my self esteem be determined by "a meal served on plastic plate with a plastic spoon". But I guess when I see the Emperor of Japan and the King of Spain eating their "meal on a plastic plate with a plastic spoon to match", I just might feel honoured that my friend has sat me at their table, because no matter how grand my self esteem might be, well, I'm not exactly at that sort of level, I honestly must admit. |
TenQ:Thank you. Worshipping God, by which I mean, loving one's neighbour, requires a lot of work, especially if one has to stand there and be slapped on both cheeks many times. Below is me adding to the immense work you have listed above. If I did no work I could easily say I believe all I posted and you would claim I am saved, but I rather show you my works than what I claim to believe in my head, for as a very wise person wrote, show me your faith and I will show you .......

seunny4lif:Well, she is the host. So I expect her to be better cared for than most. What's funny is, before she became Prime Minister, she'd have easily travelled on the underground. But I guess she's better off than Tony Blair who must go everywhere with security guards least someone citizenry arrest his ass for war crimes. |
Shoodboi:Actually, what it shows is how you view yourself, if whether you ride on a bus or not is what defines you. I wonder how you'd view yourself if you had had to walk. Some leaders can very easily walk the streets of London because they are unlikely to be recognised. Some can't because they would be recognised and might never get where they are going, either because people love them so much and want to say hello, or hate them so much and might want to punch their lights out. Saudi's leader can not walk London streets for one of those reasons, and neither can Biden. Putin can't even step in UK in an armoured car and a thousand securing him at the moment, and it's the Chinese themselves who would attack their Xi Jinping, though I'm certain lots of Brits would assist them. Our African leaders though, barring our very own Buhari whom many might very likely kick and spit on and egg, not many would be recognised by Africans not to talk of Brits so their security requirements are rather low. That said, this funeral is not about Africa but about honouring the dead Queen. And I am delighted to see that those of you who were not at Westminster are taking this more worse that the African leaders who honoured the occasion by taking the bus. |
seunny4lif:Funny if true since she lives just 5 minutes from Westminster Cathedral and could have walked the back alleys. But I guess she might not be able to walk, because, apart from the President of USA, she's the most likely to have had eggs thrown at her. Brits can be rather disrespectful that way, though they might have resisted in honour of the Queen. |
treesun:And thank you treesun. You will live long. |
TenQ:"Smart working" you said, which I'll assume means work unless you say otherwise, and "through adequate preparation", which is more work. TenQ:If you consider the words you wrote above, you'd find work is involved in them all. One can't have or do any of them without working at it and belief is not work. We also touched on the Fruits of the Spirit earlier, which you said you had, and I doubt you'd claim you acquired them through belief without doing any work. Just to know what the words mean alone requires you ask and knock and seek which is work, and the fact you have to use your heart and soul and mind and being implies quite a lot of work indeed unless you want to claim your Fruits of the Spirit fell on you like manna from heaven. TenQ, the first work of a Christian is reading the Bible. And I am suggesting it is a lot of work because it is a big book which many fail to read from the beginning to the end unless they work. Then they have to do the work to understand what they read which is a lot of work I say, and that's apart from living, which is definitely work if one wants to live by every Word of God since God writes a lot and in a rather difficult way for the lazy to understand and especially if one understands that God writes on to the entire universe, which requires a lot more work just to know it's extent. Taking up one's cross is definitely work especially if one's cross is made of quality heavy wood. And I think one can clearly see those who do not do any work. Or don't you think so? Those who work not talk like a child and think like a child and reason like a child and never do the work so they can grow and become adults who put the ways of childhood behind them.

Broveens42:You obviously know something I don't know. Canada is a G7 country and their leader got the bus. Germany is G7 and their President Frank-Walter Steinmeier got the bus. Canadian, G7, Justin Trudeau got the bus. G7 Japan sent their Emperor instead of their 'leader' and he got the bus. Perhaps you meant G2, as UKs Liz Truss does not need to get a bus since she lives around the corner, and I could not find Spain and Italy, though the King of Spain got the bus and China's leader sent a rep. Russia was not invited, which about leaves G1 Biden who did not get the bus, and most likely can't least someone shoots him. You were saying? |
The President is the president and the vice president is the vice president. With everyone else remote working these days, they are only a phone call away and can therefore preside from wherever they are. |
Broveens42:Buhari did not attend neither. Note. |
shogsman:My class and esteem is not dependent on my mode of transport, but why don't you come tell the many whites I boss and order around what you claim above and hear what they have to tell ignoramus you. |
shogsman:Perhaps because they contribute a lot more money to the British economy than the entire Africa does. But if you don't like it why don't you just insist you want to ride in the hearse itself so we know you'd have the security you think you deserve? |
Some just like insulting themselves and making themselves feel small. Canadian PM Justin Trudeau arrived at the Abbey after travelling by bus. He is not an African leader the last time I checked. As did Anthony Albanese of Australia, and Jacinda Ardern of New Zealand, who said she did not understand the "fuss". Revealing she regularly makes her ministers carpool, Jacinda Ardern said yesterday: "I don’t think the bus warrants too much fuss." But trust some ignorant people to make a fuss.
|
basilico:It is you I run away from, bas. I do not want to be infected with your ignorance and non-brain use, so I immune myself by avoiding you when I want to. If you want my attention, you just have to use your brain and resist telling lies. |
TenQ:I did. You just don't like my answer. It does not matter what one believes since belief does not put food on one's table, which is the very beginning of salvation. After all, no Lord is shepherding those the Lord has not first prepared a table before, which is precisely why they want.
|
Nyamuri:Actually, all I see is your support is only tribal. Especially since support for Obi is very non-tribal.
|
Sixfiguresmart:Unfortunately, you don't get to command anyone just as you can't be commanded. |
I think angels would have a hard job convincing us Nigerians to vote Atiku too to be honest. For some a few dollars might be more convincing, though most would take the dollars and be Obidient. |
Anyone want to join me in setting up business for Chinese men to marry Nigeria women? China has far too many men and few women so they will pay. We can charge registration fee from both the woman and man plus introductory fee and other fees on top. We just need vet the women and men to ensure they'll stick to contract and not kill each other. |
Now, what a service. Short sharp and sweet! |
madridguy:Thank you o. I think I even saw the Dalai Lama there, though it might have been a representative. |
Sixfiguresmart:I am not promoting Atum to you. I'm just correcting your lack of knowledge.
|
One thing Obi is showing us is that tribe does not matter, and from that shall we evolve to religion, gender, race etc does not matter neither so long as you can convince us you would work to lead us to improve Nigeria. Most are not against Tinubu because of his religion but because of his conduct, and if Muslims or even Satan would provide us with a secure nation where we can go about our daily business of putting food in our belly, most of us would vote them in as our president. That's how far we have advanced. |
Wisetrue99:I think some people don't quite understand what ObiDatt represents to us Obidients, and think just anyone can wear the crown we have placed on their heads. |
