treesun:You have such power too. Populate the thread with more info please and they might obey your command. Post the readings for instance, and the songs, and your opinion. |
Update to get this to fp please. I nominate you as our eyes on the ground. |
Sixfiguresmart:Can you not write YHWH in Latin letters and still claim its origin is the Hebrew God? |
TenQ:Me believing anything has nothing to do with my salvation, nor does it put food in my belly nor a roof over my head. What I do is far more important than whatever I chose to believe in my head
|
CoolUsername:Those who lump in everyone as you write above are stupid and ignorant. Note how I don't lump you with the likes of Ben and Bas. There must be a reason for it. |
garriAndsugar:Bedtime. Do let me know in the morning how you got on making those millions. |
garriAndsugar:Sorry, but I can not rely on the sweat off your brow for my daily bread. That would be me begging or me enslaving you, neither of which I consider productive use of my time. |
garriAndsugar:Are you asking me to go do the research for you? If so, sorry, for that would not be productive use of my resource nor time. |
garriAndsugar:There's lots of stuff one can learn online to earn an income instead of wasting one's time on things that don't put food in one's belly. |
paroleski:I wouldn't welcome the union at all because it would clearly be an act of disobedience to Datti, and would show a lack of integrity on Obi's part, who I'm certain would not welcome a union with Kwankaso neither. |
MrBrownJay1:Except he's not brand new but wasted his data on sex and bigotry instead of something more productive. |

Kingsley1000:Actually, Nigeria is blessed. That sun we get makes things grow so we don't starve, but trust some to think their blessings are curses. If you had to spend your money heating your home because it's freezing cold, or knew how to convert that sun into electricity so you had light, I bet you'd think different instead of feeling cursed that the Gods who bring you manna from heaven don't cook it and put it in your mouth. |
CoolUsername:Which riots? Far Right anti-Muslim riots that had been going on before the sex ring was discovered, or those protesting against Far Right anti-Muslim riots? We did have both over here, in case you do not know, just as America had protesters and rioters at Charlotte. CoolUsername:I would condemn violence from BLM and Antifa, except that I don't see the need to since they are a minority and they are not my focus. I won't condemn the BLM and Antifa protesters however, Cool, same way I would not condemn you for resisting me trying to choke you if I were choking you. Na. That's not exactly true. I likely might condemn you resisting me trying to choke you if I were choking you since you'd be stopping me from achieving my desired goal to choke you if I were choking you. I'm biased that way, I guess. I will condemn the Jan 6 insurrectionists however, because they were rioting based on a lie. Think EndSars. I do condemn them for looting and rioting (they completely destroyed my local government building!), but I most definitely do support their cause which was against police brutality. CoolUsername:I know you don't like my apparent contradiction, but I'm afraid you will need to learn to square a circle. My violence against you choking me is very justified. But your violence against me choking you is not justified at all by me, because you would be stopping me from achieving my desired goal which is to choke you. Not all BLM/Antifa protests were riots. Here in UK BLM/Antifa did not riot though they did protest, and if the Jan 6 had been a peaceful protest I'd not have much to object to apart from their ignorance at believing a lie. They however went a tad too far, which is why they are ending up in jail, and which is where the BLM/Antifas who protested violently should hopefully end up too. https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2022/02/22/fact-check-thousands-black-lives-matter-protesters-arrested-2020/6816074001/

Freeze007:Let me tell you a story. I once went to Chartres in France to see the Cathedral. On getting there and seeing this monstrosity the Cathedral seemed to be to me, I was disgusted at the amount of money that must have been spent on building it. But after three days of exploring it, I realised that the Cathedral was a 12th Century 'book' written into the building at a time when books were not available to the individual. Books are not only what we would normally think they are, is my point. And you did put your own experience into 'book', Freeze007, for that is precisely what you did and what I read and then asked you to clarify, which you dutifully did, and which I appreciate immensely. |
CoolUsername:Is that a question or what? British police who have gunned down minorities or anyone, pay for their gunning down if their gunning down is not justified. British citizens who decide to take matters into their own hands about the Islamic child trafficking gangs that the police have not mostly ignored would be committing a crime and would end up in jail just as the Jan 6 insurrectionist are being jailed. And for your information, violence is not justified, especially not if based on whatever one may believe. You might note that I did not say I'd be violent if I believed you were choking me. But if you are actually choking me, as opposed to me just believing you are, I'd be surprised if you think I wouldn't violently fight for my life. |
jimetagambo:They show their true colours! The world would be immense fun when Hitler rules America. |
CoolUsername:Protesting for your rights and to stop being oppressed is very acceptable to me. I after all would not sit back doing nothing if you are sitting on my neck choking me, and I somehow do not think you'd agree that you should not be violently resisted if you are choking me. I might be wrong though. You just might want me to not be violent towards you if you are choking me, but what you might want does not in any way dictate what I might do. |
Freeze007:Some very wise and smart people have written in books what they have discovered so it is not lost and so we don't need to do the immense work discovering it for ourselves. Even you are here writing 'book' to share what you have discovered. You alone can not discover the immense amount of knowledge out there already unless you stand on the shoulders of the giants who were before you and wrote the knowledge they discovered in books so you can read and see much further. So I will advice you change from anti-book to loving books instead. |
Freeze007:Book, as opposed to theory, is important. It is how those who lived before us express themselves so we can hear them. The art is not to believe what you read, but to seek to understand what they have written and then to move on forward. See books as a boat with which one crosses a river. Once one gets to the other side the boat is no more required and should therefore be left by the shore. |
Freeze007:It is the lesson being taught in the expression "Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil", though those who read only one book would hardly understand the reference. You will grow. http://tibetanbuddhistencyclopedia.com/en/index.php/Yin_Yang

Blake755:India was far more advanced than we were before they were colonised. India had books from like three different religions before the Europeans arrived with theirs, and they had built magnificent buildings the like that Europe was in awe of while we had no books and mostly lived in mud huts that have not stood the test of time. |
Sixfiguresmart:Neither buda nor atum is Islamic. The first is from India and the second is Egyptian. TenQ is a Christian. And I hopefully have not attacked him. And yes, I am on a religious thread. Its where I get to educate your sort. |
Sixfiguresmart:I do not believe, period. Especially not in fictional entities written about in books. |
Wilgrea7:Our nation is full of them, hence the chaos. You got to watch the history of those you converse with. I find it difficult, but if I had no patience I would not discuss with those who refuse to eat the Fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil except to educate them, though I am aware they'd be arguing that what they believe is actual knowledge when it is in fact plain ignorance. |
CoolUsername:We had them here in UK too. What's amazing is the change it brought about. We have more black people on important programs on telly and the second most powerful person in our government is a now black guy from Ghana. You can't oppress people for so long and not expect them to react. |
Freeze007:Basically, Esu with its two faces. Or what some call Ying and Yang? |
nighthawk1:People are changing their names from Ogun and Ifa to Olorun and Mohamadu, perhaps because they prefer those traditions to their own. After all, though Ogun might be the God of Iron, there's no iron factory using its ideology and Ifa seems to not be able to compete with Western philosophy. And for your information, UK abandoned it's Gods and tradition for Christianity too. |

Do you see what I mean, Wilgrea7? If I step outside and see rain falling and that person then tells me rains is falling, I would go out and check again! |
