PoliteActivist:I guess you are simulating in a dream. Do please let me know when you wake up and stop dreaming. And please stop with the "all due respect". It is obvious you have no respect for me, and I refuse to ignore the evidence and dream that you respect me. |
Mrtaye:In some very local rural areas, yes.

TenQ:So, God did not write the Bible, but God instructed Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? I'm happy you merely believe it, instead of like much else in the Bible, actually doing what it says in it. If you did do what it says, and refuse to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you'd not have bothered to go to school to get knowledge, and you wouldn't educate your children if or when you get any. The consequence of eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil is very clearly not death, since we clearly read that Adam and Eve did not die after eating it but lived another 800 years. And it is clearly stated in the Bible that it is ignorance, and not eating the fruits of trees of knowledge, that kills.

PoliteActivist:You must think everyone's dream experience is limited to what you know, and can not consider that some people's dreaming might be different to yours. Regardless, you asked me to suppose I am dreaming, and despite all my supposing, I do happen to know that I am awake and not dreaming because no matter how much I suppose, I am incapable of supposing so much crap in my head and believing it precisely because I do know "the true nature of this our reality". For your information, this is philosophy 101. How do you know a table is real. The answer is bang your hand on its edge and see if you feel real pain or not. |
mic360:I got to borrow this for someone who just said the exact opposite. |
PoliteActivist:Everything does not seem 100% real in my dreams, and that I guess is because we all don't dream the same way or at all. And I'd rather be childlike in my real world than dream in a suppose world. It's the realist in me. I've dreamt of having a million pounds in my bank account, but I just have never been able to convince the Ferrari salesperson to let me drive off with one in exchange for my dream million pounds. But if you know how I can accomplish this impossible feat, please do tell and I'd be forever most grateful. Oh. And sorry. But just the first few seconds of the video you posted was enough to put me off. While some may be living in some computer that some might have programmed, I do my own programming myself and don't even let the Gods have a say unless they say what I tell them. mic360: |
PoliteActivist:Sorry, but the real non-dream world I live in is most definitely not a dream no matter how much I suppose. I just need to bang my head against a wall to know I am, or rather, was awake in the real world where my head and the wall are both real. |
Does that not depend on what you yourself are looking for? A lady may offer you companionship. She may support you or partner you in what you both may want to achieve. She may warm your bed. She may enable you to reproduce. She may be your confidant and someone you build a future with, etc etc. That's not to say a man can't offer you all the same things bar enabling you to reproduce, but well..... |
Freeze007:Sorry, but I do not get your point so can not pass it across. Care to explain what you mean by "Darkness is the hack about the LIGHT"? I have never heard that. |
xpressionx:Lol, if Lagos impounds my car and just auctions it. I know a good lawyer who will help me sue Lagos for the cost of my car plus the wasting of my time and all my legal fees too. And if more people do what I'd do, Lagos will think twice next time. |
xpressionx:Who told you that? If your car is impounded and you don't pay for its collection and for whatever reason it was impounded, your car will most definitely be auctioned and you'd still have fees to pay. https://www.met.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/vr/vehicle-recovery/impounded/impounded-vehicles/

basilico:You are not worth my time bas. |
oloyedprince1:I was hoping I spoke like a realist, but the important things is that you got me. May your car business prosper. |
oloyedprince1:So what's the problem? Have you considered that Nairalanders might be broke ass people with no money to buy cars? That might be the reason we are not buying cars from you you know. We just might not have the money to buy your cars and your integrity. |
oloyedprince1:This your sentiment is rather unbecoming! Sorry, but I do not buy anything to help the seller's business. I buy things to help myself and even expect the seller to help me for the benefit of their own profit. |
oloyedprince1:Well, you would hardly expect your word to be taken for it now, or would you? You'd show me reviews from previous buyers so I can see how they feel about the car you sold them, and even then, see my checks above. |
oloyedprince1:No, I am not implying you are not to be trusted. I don't know you enough to know whether you can be trusted or not, and I don't make claims about people I do not know. But when it comes to buying expensive things like cars, trust does not apply, which is why I'd bring my mechanic to check the car for me, and police to ensure its not stolen before I even consider paying you. And even then, trust still does not apply. All I'd know is whether I am happy or not with the car I bought from you, and that is what would motivate me to recommend you to others or not. Basically, you are not only selling cars, but your integrity too. At least that is what I'd be paying you for when I buy a car from you. And if I am happy with my purchase, I'll be back for more, and I will recommend you to my friends and family too. |
oloyedprince1:Indeed it is. It is not uncommon for car sellers to sell one a lemon that breaks down as soon as one drives it away from the seller. At no business does 'buyer beware' apply more. |
Calabar South 1 State Constituency is educating the rest of us how not to be bigots! Calabar has made me proud! |
oloyedprince1:We don't buy cars or anything to help anyone's business. Just as the car seller does not sell me car because they are helping me, so too do I not buy a car to help the seller, and not knowing this is precisely why the car seller is not trusted.
|
xpressionx:...And wakes up to the nightmare that he isn't and never would be. |
We don't trust one another. Even ordinary conversation where money is not involved, many Nairalanders are dishonest, so imagine if money were involved and you'd see the need for ubercaution. |
DaddyFreeze2020:Don't mind them. When the anti-Obidients see us being Obidient they think it is Obi who is the messiah without realising it is we ourselves who are Obidiently being the messiahs of ourselves instead of expecting anyone to save us like they expect their candidate to. As for Iweala. One day, I hope. budaatum: |
basilico:You'd say that because you don't know what words mean and think everyone must be dumb like you are. This is how I earn my daily bread so I better not be as dumb as you are. |
PoliteActivist:Suppose implies I make crap up in my head and consider it, so let me try. In that life where I am supposing this life is a dream, I'd never be hungry because if I were hungry I'd just go to the table with the most food on it like that of say Buhari or the King of England and eat my fill and whatever they do to me for stealing off their table would not matter because I would eventually wake up from the dream. In fact, I would crown myself the King of the World and make you all bow down to me and pay me 10, na, 50% of all your incomes in tax and I'd spend it however I like and none of you would be able to object because you'd all be in my dream. Fact is, (and do note that I have also said elsewhere that you may kill my cheek with your slapping but you most certainly can not kill my spirit), my flesh and blood is of utmost importance because without my flesh and blood I would most certainly be a person in your dreams alone without existing in this very real world where I must work for my daily bread or starve my body so my blood stops flowing in it and I most definitely would not exist. Except in the dreams of someone who does exist and is dreaming, at least. |
Ruling party presidential running mate Kashim Shettima has clarified that he only said his principal Bola Tinubu will be ruthless like Sani Abacha...And "ruthless like Abacha" who killed many to hide the fact he was looting our nation dry is supposed to be a good thing how or is this Kashim Shettima secretly trying to destroy Tinubu's chances of being elected by us whom he would be brutal too? Basically, has Obi somehow managed to make Shettima obidient, even if in secret? |
efficiencie:In your narrow context it may be. My mind is a bit more expanded than that and includes gender and colour and race and even country and age too. |
TenQ:No, TenQ. Love is not "being a passive onlooker as events pass by". If you go back to the beginning of this thread, you would find that I, buda, have not been a "passive onlooker as events pass by", because if I had been a "passive onlooker as events pass by", I would clearly not have been here "within the preview of love to correct, nurture, warn, chastise, push or even pull a person (you and the op) away from danger" of your ignorance, which is very clearly what I have been doing precisely because I love you.

Sixfiguresmart:Are you not grateful therefore that Eve's faith was not sealed, because unlike ignorant Adam, she chose to test what she had been told with her own free will and the rest is history including your very own existence. |
Sixfiguresmart:Assertions do not make things true! That's why one should use one's own brain and mind instead of ignorantly believing assertions. But if you were to ask me, what is evil is the only thing using the Garden of Eden story to deceive people about the fact that they are created in God's image and not from mud like Adam and Eve, unless you want to claim that God was created from mud too. |
TenQ:What a pity, TenQ. Perhaps you assume God wrote the Bible just as many Muslims ignorantly believe Mohammed got his Qur'an from God, when in fact both are written by human beings. Islam, in Nigeria at least, uses the "You shall not eat of every tree of the garden", to oppress its people far more than Christians do, for at least Christianity translates the Bible into local languages, but Islam mostly hides what's in the Qur'an in the Arabic that most do not understand, just as the early Church insisted the Bible be read in their translation. That is precisely how they create Alimanjeris, by depriving them of knowledge and therefore it's fruits. That said. If I am told not to eat of one tree, then I understand that to mean I must not eat of every tree, because "every tree" means "every tree", and not "every tree bar one". Besides, there is no way I could possibly “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground", unless I eat the Fruits of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, and when non-eating of the Fruits of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil say, Let there be Light", what would follow is NEPA!, instead of "and there was light", as is rather very obvious. |
Totilopussylick:Lol.
