Please know one fact. I like discussing with you because I believe you are intelligent, an assumption I come to by the topics you open threads about. They are of a higher intellectual level than the norm but you unfortunately often do not apply the rigour required to tackle them.

buda will be blessed by you if you try harder. The Lord God Almighty strengthens you.

Sorry, I got your reference wrong! (I assumed you refer to where I asked him to proof his two assertions

However, there seems to be another person on NL bearing the name budaatuum, you are budaatum.

Even at that, the knowledge of the wrong budaatum lead to his confusion. Even knowedge can be wrong!

Your anger is easily stoked bro!
Yes, my anger is easily stoked by people who can not be honest in their conversations. We are all here learning so we can increase our knowledge and understanding so why lie to massage your ego? Do you think the rest of us are so stupid that we would not notice when you lie? Are you trying to mislead us?

I mean, take your lie above. You and everyone else here can easily check, but without bothering, you tell an untruth instead of simply admitting your mistake. If you lie in little things like there seems to be another person on NL bearing the name budaatuum, I can't assume you can be honest in the bigger things we are discussing here, and would be insulting myself in trying to hold a honest conversation with you.

If your knowledge is wrong or incomplete and you believe it, you are no different to an atheist who has not bothered to read their Holy Book and claims everything in it is untrue. Christ would advise you to become as a child, as in, abandon your incomplete knowledge so that you may learn. But as he also said, it's as hard as threading camels through needle's eyes.

It is not all about chess game. There's a lot more going on than the chess but I understand if you think it is average. Some person's food can be poison to some others and our subjective opinions are not facts.

It's definitely not GoT or Vikings nor Breaking Bad, and I confess a chess bias.

Even though he is wrong, his error is still based on knowledge. However, incomplete knowledge.
He must have read books by atheists!
Listened to arguments from other Atheists!
Read a little science!

A knowledge not understood is more or less an incomplete knowledge.

One must admit Also that there may also exist false knowledge (a deliberate falsification of facts to lead to a different conclusion).
So, Hell's error that I am budaatuum is based on knowledge, according to you? I got to wonder where you think he got that knowledge from, Shade.

Sorry, but I do not think I can continue this conversation with you at this point in time without being rude. When you concentrate on what is presented before you, hola. And do let me know how the bridge built with incomplete knowledge goes when you got time.

I will reassess my decision in the morning.

Well, your thoughts don't determine whether I'm religious or not.
Another person can state you're religious or say you claim not to be religious.
In fact, another person can say you're a priest.
No Hell, I do not think you are religious though you do religiously hold on to your beliefs. And you are correct that what I think about you may be wrong since I hardly know you.

'Religious' is one of those words that means a lot more than credit is given. I, for instance, religiously post on here daily but many will tell you I'm going to burn in hell for not believing what some religiously believe. And to be honest with you, I'd rather burn in hell than end up where some religious folk believe they would. I do think you are funny though. At least, I'm amused by you.

Let me give you these examples:
1. Do you know or believe that the content of Coca-Cola bottle is sterile?
I assume you believe: but is this belief a function of sentiment or knowledge (howbeit incomplete)

Your beliefs in the suitability of drinking Coca-Cola is based on your knowledge of government regulations, food industry etiquette, etc Your belief is based on knowledge not just on sentiments,!

2. When you fly in a plane, do you know if the Pilot can fly the plane to your destination or you believe the pilot can fly the plane to your destination.
I know the content of a Coca Cola bottle is sterile. If it were not sterile the company that makes it would be out of business by now! I also know the pilot can fly the plane to my destination or the plane owner would not be risking their plane.

It's called deductive reasoning, and is not some crap I cook up inside my head and stupidly ignorantly chose to believe or disbelieve, if that were the case.

Would you consider the bolded and italics a statement of your knowledge or belief?
It is a statement of my knowledge of you. Every single discussion you and I have goes exactly this same way.

shadeyinka:
Let's dissect the issues at stake. I think
1. You take a position that a Belief is a sentimental assumption of a position devoid of knowledge.
Or incomplete knowledge, as you stated.

shadeyinka:
2. I take the position that a Belief could be a function of knowledge however such knowledge is incomplete.
Read that again please would you. Is "incomplete knowledge", knowledge? Do you know what you incompletely know, or do you learn more so you know more?

shadeyinka:
3. I also take the position that for some things in life, our knowledge may be understandably incomplete.
Would you say you know something if your knowledge is incomplete? Would it not be more appropriate to just be honest and claim you do not know enough?

Consider the following carefully please. What would likely happen to a bridge built by an engineer who has incomplete knowledge.

shadeyinka:
If you claim you know who your mother is, what is the evidence?
That is not exactly the point, shade. Fact is, you would not claim you believe your mother is your mother unless you are not sure who your mother is.

shadeyinka:
Yes, this your sufficient knowledge has caused you to know the one you call "mother" but only a DNA result will cause you to truely know that she gave birth to you.
Perhaps this applies on the planet you live on. Do tell, did you need a DNA result to know whom your mother is?

The position you were called to defend is that Republicans will dump Trump as soon as he is out of office, whilst the likes of myself continued to see it as a remote impossibility, due to the deplorables like Taylor Greene (and idiots on here) who continue to believe in conspiracy theories of electoral fraud and refuse to go away even in the face of extreme shame.
I guess you could argue about the "as soon as he is out of office", but things go a lot slower than that in the real world.

One thing we learnt from the last elections is there aren't enough deplorables to make trump Potus46. Many don't even realise that Pence sanitised trump for many Gops for him to be Potus45, but I doubt he could be sanitised enough going forward.

The deplorables might, unfortunately, discover how irrelevant he is at the midterms though I doubt they would since some think his second term starts on on March 4 (or is it May?). My hope is they continue to think trump is relevant come election for Potus47. Their humiliation will be most enjoyed.

Note: the word sufficient is a relative term!. A knowledge could be complete or not

1. A Belief is based on EDUCATED opinion!
I know you'll never give up nor will you consider what you yourself write. It's because you believe you know what you are saying despite evidence in your own words to the contrary, which I strongly suggest you go back and read over again. Start with your short bit above. Ask yourself how the two sentences relate.

There's a person who believes We Have Been Lied To The Earth Is Flat And Not A Globe. He believes it so much that he has ignored every single fact posted to the contrary. Would you argue that person's belief is based on "EDUCATED opinion" or zero knowledge?

Beliefs are based on sentiment. Its why a man can believe he is a woman or a dog. He'd claim his belief is based on knowledge but the sane ones amongst us know he's just being stupid, irrational, reckless, damaged, or just lying so as not to admit his ignorance, take your pick.

shadeyinka:
1Cor 13:12:
"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."

This scripture above is why Faith and Believing cannot be expunged from the knowing of God.
This is precisely why you are in error. Rather than understanding the terms you use you are blinded by your religion and see this as defense of it when it is a simple linguistic discuss. I guess you are more familiar arguing with atheists you disagree with and to whom you must prove your point rather than discussing so you yourself learn.

Paul is educating you on how one can be ignorant but think one knows. He thought he knew and went about persecuting Christians until he had his comeuppance on the way to Damascus and realised he had been looking through glass that was murky in his day, and how ignorant he had been. He realised how arrogant he had been being and that he would always have much to learn. Basically, he figured out that his beliefs were not knowledge.

I do not expect you to know this however since you are a believer. If you bothered to understand instead, you might realise that most of the arguments Jesus had with the Pharisees were them claiming their beliefs were knowledge when in fact they were ignorant.

In summary: Belief is based on knowledge.

Adequate knowledge is a relative term. In different frame of reference, you can't determine what adequate information or knowledge is.
Belief is based on opinion. Once you have sufficient knowledge you'd stop believing and instead know. It is for this reason you do not just believe your mother gave birth to you if you know who your mother is, and also why it is written that belief makes demons tremble as the ignorant do.

Believing however even though is based on knowledge, the factor of fluidity of action and reaction, external factors, human nature, unforseen circumstances etc lead to a situation where we cannot say with all certainty that the resultant will be as predicted. Hence in human language, we use the word believe.
Read the above again. Now go back and read all I've been saying about believers.

shadeyinka:
It is recklessness for a person to believe what he has no adequate information about.
I believe you are being reckless.

shadeyinka:
Atheists actually really believe that God doesn't exist (Forget the play of words that atheism means a "lack of believe" in God): for their lack of belief is based on their imperfect knowledge.
Such atheists are believers and are no different to their religious counterparts.

Gods exist in the minds of those in whom Gods are created. If God is created in your mind God exists for you, and if you do not create Gods in your mind you ought to know its not there. It is for this reason some can worship stones.

shadeyinka:
Can one really love a person who is not known?
Yes, shade. Humans are complex like that, both lied to and believed. When they get to know the person they say they love they sometimes stop loving them. For instance when it is discovered their loved is a partner beater or cheater or thief or murderer or just irresponsible, all things they might discover after being in love for years. Here's an example.

Lots of reasons, ignorance being the chief one. Parents might ignorantly pit them against one another so older brother sees winning as sibling's failure or older brother might he jealous of younger sibling's parental attention.

There's lots of stories in fiction and mythology to educate on the subject. Try Kane and Abel if you haven't already, and read up on Sibling rivalry.

You paint belief in a negative light even though belief functions usually as a trust in the integrity/personality of a person you know.

Here are some statement to buttress:
I believe my wife would not betray me!
I believe I am well prepared for the exam!
I believe that the boy has the correct solution to that differential equation.

Throughout these examples, the word "believe" is based on knowledge enough to be confident even though the outcome is not determined yet
I guess this is where you accuse me of insulting you because I am about to call you a liar or at least claim you are being dishonest.

None of the examples you post above are based on any knowledge you claim to have, which is why they are beliefs. If you knew you would say so instead of merely believing and evidence might in time prove you wrong.

shadeyinka:
A belief isn't a wild guesswork! Any belief not based on knowledge is just a wild guesswork and cannot be trusted.

Knowledge however is based on facts/information enough to be certain of the outcome which is already determined

Example:
I know the snake will not bite me (why?: I know that it is already dead)
I know that the gun is empty (why?: I removed the magazine and emptied the chamber)

Finally,
"I know President Buhari"
and
"I believe in President Buhari"
Are two different valid statements about Buhari.

The first statement is about firsthand knowledge about Buhari.(past and present)
The second statement is about what Buhari can do (future)
Note that you say "Knowledge however is based on facts/information, but can't say the same about beliefs.

Why is that?

shadeyinka:
Every scientist must believe in his hypothesis (this belief if based on his knowledge), this belief then has to be tested to ascertain it's validity. Otherwise, it remains a hypothesis!

By Definition:
A research hypothesis is a statement of expectation or prediction that will be tested by research.
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://oakland.edu/Assets/upload/docs/AIS/Syllabi/Tayler_Research_Hypothesis.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjJ2Zi7wefuAhXyTBUIHU_yBV8QFjADegQIKxAF&usg=AOvVaw2HDu3idt6L82yfa4fZ-UB2

Science is not adverse to an educated guess (a belief) as long as it can be tested.
Key word, "tested". The scientist does not claim an hypothesis is fact, and neither does the scientist believe in an hypothesis or they would not bother testing it, I would have you consider instead of just parroting beliefs at me please!

shadeyinka:
Christianity is about both knowing God as who He is and believing God for what is yet to be.

Jesus said:
And you shall KNOW the TRUTH and the truth shall set you free!

Knowledge must come before freedom (future).

2Tim 2:15:
"Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
I agree that Christianity is about knowing what many refer to as God. The question is, What is the meaning of knowing God? Is it not true that you show knowledge of God by how you relate to those you see here, and that inasmuch as ye have done unto those here whom you see the Lord God in Heaven is pleased?

Perhaps read up on the Parable of the Orangutan who knew nothing about God but whom Christ said emulate as opposed to those who definitely believed.

When Christ said "become as a child", he meant test all that you believe. He also said it is as difficult as a camel going through the needle's eye, a fact you are proving here to be correct.
