I am a trader in main market Onitsha. I have a shop in Popular Relief market and also Visited “New parts “ market in Onitsha today .

Despite the today’s (10th February ) deadline from the CBN, everyone in these markets are still trading as if nothing is happening. Starting from the motorists to the hawkers in Onitsha, no one rejects the old notes.

Though I'm scared, but I didn't give any directives to my subjects. They collects anyone they see.

As I type this, they have made up to #300,000 cash from today's sales while I wallow in confusion.

What is the situation in your area please, are the old notes rejected or being accepted??

Commercial banks won't collect it starting from tomorrow if the deadline remains 10th but you can change it in any CBN branch in your state....the old one will be collected and you will be given the new currency note only in CBN by 17th you won't be chanced to change it again

Please I need your candid advise on this issue. I have never been this confused on what to do. I have been working for some years as an Assistant lecturer in a Private University with a gross pay of 113k per month. I completed my PhD last year and got 3 other offers in Nigeria, the highest was of 177k per month as L2. I had already filled the agreement form to resume there by March 1st, which is just about 4 days from now. Just as I was about moving out my thing yesterday from my current place of work to the new place, I got an offer from another African country to resume 15th of March for a Government Academic job of a monthly salary of 1000 USD which comes with a monthly accommodation allowance of 100 USD and nothing more.

I am lost in the pool of consideration & don’t even know which would be the best for me in my career.

For the past two days I have been experiencing loss of smell and taste. I can't smell anything, the food I cook, the perfume I use, my baby's poo as in I can't smell anything.Everything I have been eating have no taste.

Dont say what you dont know. When I delivered my baby a woman laboured for complete 2days until the husband them to do cs for her. Infact the midwife on duty was even saying they should calm down that the pain she had gone through is more than the pain that remains because she was already 9cm dialet out of 10cm.

The husband had to show some drama and threatened to sue the hospital if anything happened to his wife since thursday afternoon that she was brought in they finally did the surgery Saturday midnight.....some hospitals midwives are so mean.

The nurse later said the woman has thin cervix and that's what led to the delay. The woman even came to hospital early when she was just 1cm dilated
