The All Progressives Congress in Bebeji local government area of Kano state has expelled the suspended House of Representatives member, Alhaji Abdulmumini Jibrin from the party over alleged anti party activities.

According to NAN, the lawmaker debunked the expulsion in a prompt response, saying it was done by unauthorised persons. Jibrin said the person who addressed the news conference was neither the Chairman of the party at the local government level nor a part of the party executive at the state level.

In Jibrin's words:

“This is yet another round of character assassinations from career political antagonisers who are perpetually threatened by our advocate for transparency in public service and political leadership,”he said. According to him, they are engaged by some politicians in Abuja in continuation of their bids to frustrate his anti-corruption campaign.

Jibrin is a member representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal constituency in Kano state, was suspended by House of Representatives for exposing alleged budget padding in the green chamber. The local government party chairman, Alhaji Sani Kanti-Ranka announced his expulsion from the APC at a news conference in Kano State yesterday being Thursday 15th, 2017.

He said the decision to expel him followed series of allegations levelled against him in connection with the attempt to create divisions in the party.

“He is also being accused of trying to change the leadership of the party at the local government and all the 14 wards in Bebeji local government. “Similarly, he is expelled from the party at the local government because he is sabotaging the state governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje in addition to being disloyal and disrespectful to the National leadership of the party, “he said.

He said the offences were contrary to the APC constitution, hence the decision of the party to set up a committee which sought for his reaction on the allegations. He said the five-member committee had invited Jibrin to defend himself but he failed to do so.

Kanti-Ranka said following his refusal to appear before the committee, the party had no option than to expel him.

However, the church or the location of where the wedding took place was not disclosed but the priest could be seen behind the couple singing and showing off his dance moves to the rest of the congregation while on the altar.

The song on the lips of the priest was recently released by one of Mavin Records artists Blair and Clinton Roberts popularly known as DNA and titled How Can.

However, the priest was not left alone to do the singing as some congregation members also joined him while the newlywed couple danced joyfully to the song.

Super Falcons Coach, Florence Omagbemi’s 15-year-old son, Samson, has died. Samson and his classmate reportedly drowned in a swimming pool at a hotel in Effurun, Delta State, where they had gone to for an after exams party.

The media officer for the Nigeria U-23 team, Timi Ebikagboro, revealed the sad development via a Facebook post, and called for prayers for the grieving Super Falcons coach who only lost her father six months ago.

Ebikagboro’s post, which was put up late on Wednesday, explained how a teacher took JSS 3 students of Challenge International School, Kolokolo Udu Road, Warri, to Golden Tulip along PTI junction Effurun for “an after exam party”.

“Am just in a sad mood, how on earth will a teacher take JSS students to a hotel in Effurun for an after exam party and in the end 2 of the innocent students got killed and thrown into the hotel pool, one of two dead kid is the “son” of our own Florence Omagbemi Super Falcons head coach, pls I beg all of you to put her in your prayers, she needs all our support in this her trying times, I hope the Delta State Ministry of Education will act on this?” he stated.

The Nigeria Football Federation joined in the mourning and also sent condolences to Coach Omagbemi who last year led Nigeria to her seventh Africa Women Championship title in Cameroon.

The Federation, through its official Twitter handle, @thenff, wrote: Our prayers are with @NGSuper_Falcons Head Coach, Florence Omagbemi who lost her son, Samson, on Wednesday. May his soul rest in peace.”

It is understood that investigation into the case is ongoing even though there are fears that the erring teacher has since absconded.

Nigerian Police have released the photographs of the two houses owned in Lagos by billionaire kidnap kingpin, Evans. The houses are all located in Magodo Estate in Lagos.

Evans, whose real name is Chukwudi Dumeme Onuamadike, also has two four-bedroom duplexes in Accra Ghana.

Evans, the kingpin was arrested in his mansion in Magodo estate in Lagos on Saturday by the police Joint Special Forces led by the Intelligence Response Team, the Lagos State Police Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit and Technical and Intelligent Unit of the Force under the supervision of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State.
