The act of many Nigerians, especially women, giving credence and heeding to Prophets of Pastors advise and caring it out to the last letter is a call for concern. Many ladies in this country have met their death and have been chased out of their husband's house all because of heeding to their pastor's advice. Popular CoolFm OAP, Daddy Freeze has always frowned at this kind of mentality and have created a name for it "sheeple" and yet people are adamant. It is better for a woman to fall down or go on her knees to great her pastor than to respect her own husband. The truth is, 99% of these so called pastors are fake. Aniema Ekpenyong and Mary Ekpenyong, two sisters, who were branded witches by a prophet in the Divine Zion of God Church in Ikot-Abasi-Effiom District, in the Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River State and have narrated how they narrowly escaped being lynched by the villagers. According to Punch report, the incident happened after their uncle, identified simply as Victor, took them to the church for deliverance. Thirteen-year-old Aniema, and Mary, 10, who had since relocated to Asanting village in the Ikono LGA of Akwa Ibom State, said they were taken to their new abode after the sad encounter with the uncle. In an interview with Southern City News on Saturday, Aniema said the issue that led to their being branded witches emanated as a dream from their stepsister. She said, “Everything started when Adiaha Akpan (stepsister) said she had a dream that Aniema and I came to take her child away and that we wanted to kill her. She told Uncle Victor about the dream. “Uncle Victor took us to church, where he asked us to confess that we were witches or else when we get back to the house, he would beat us and use nails to pierce our bodies, but I told him that I was not a witch. “Uncle Victor took us to the church and when the prophet said we were witches, he and some people took us to the bush and started flogging us.” Aniema, however, said she tried to run away but was apprehended by the uncle, adding that they used all kinds of cruel methods to get them to confess in affirmation, but to no avail. “When they went away, I managed to untie myself and ran away. A broken bottle pierced my feet, but I kept on running. Our uncle caught up with me and continued with the flogging, using big sticks while I cried. “They took me from one house to the other and some people joined them to flog me. They burned a nylon bag and let the flames fall on our skin to make us confess.” Full story below......... more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/05/2-sisters-narrowly-escaped-death-after.html cc lalasticlala missyb3 mynd44 dominique

A 48- year old man has collapsed collapsed in his home after his son introduced his girlfriend to him for the first time. According to the son, Kwabena Kumah, his Ghanaian father is just overreacting. “I don’t know what happened. He looked shocked when I showed my girlfriend to him. To me, she is the most beautiful person in the world. I don’t care what people say but I am going to marry her. I think my dad is just overreacting.” he said. Kojo Kumah, the father, while receiving treatment at Korlebu Teaching Hospital said “I know my son is not blind. I know my son is well educated and smart. I have given him everything he needs in order for him to get a good life. I don’t know why he wants to disappoint me.” he said According to him, Hannah, his son’s girlfriend is “ugly and smelly”. “It looks like she doesn’t have her bath. The texture of her skin is like the walls of an ancient building that needs renovation. Her face is so… Oh my God. Where did Kwabena get this one too from? In fact, when I shook her hand, I thought I was holding an engine block. I know she will defend herself by saying she has inner beauty but you see, I am not an X-ray machine” he said. A very sorrowful looking Hannah after the happening said she was not going to give up until she gets liked by her boyfriend’s family. “I have been through many beauty therapies and I think that this is the best I can be with regard to my outward beauty. One thing my in-law doesn’t know is that, beauty is from within. I am very beautiful inside. I have a beautiful heart. I will not rest until he likes me.” She said http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/05/father-collapses-as-son-introduced-his.html?m=1

A member of the House of Representatives, Nicholas Ossai (Delta-PDP), has said that the N125 billion appropriated to the National Assembly is not adequate to carry out its functions effectively and efficiently. Ossai stated his stands to Tthe News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Abuja, insisting that the legislators need more funds to discharge their duties. According to reports, the National Assembly on Thursday published its 2017 budget of N125 billion, which was higher than the N115 billion approved in 2016. He however, said that the additional N10 billion inserted in the budget would strengthen oversight functions by members of the National Assembly. According to him: “This is necessary so that Nigerians will have the impact and value creation of what has been budgeted. “Nigerians are not looking at that, we are looking at the National Assembly as 360 members of House of Representatives and 109 Senators; calculate it with the money that has been budgeted without looking at other aspects. “We are not looking at other agencies under the National Assembly like the Public Complaints Commission, National Institute for Legislative Studies, the National Assembly Service Commission and supporting staff. “The committees are carrying out national functions in line with Section 88 of the Constitution to expose corruption. “That committees not only expose corruption, but block leakages; definitely, we need a lot of money to address these issues. “To the best of my knowledge, that money is not enough to address the issues of carrying out the national functions of the national assembly,” Ossai claimed. Meanwhile, one of the legislative aide told NAN on ground of anonymity that they were being owed Duty Travel Allowance (DTA) amounting to N1.3 billion. “We have been owed since 2015 and the management informed us that the allowance was not captured in the 2016 budget. “With this development, we are aware of what is appropriated for legislative aides in the 2017 budget, we are now sure the money is there and there will be no room for excuses anymore. “The DTA for an individual is N75, 000 and about 3, 000 aides are being owed,” the aide said. A breakdown of the 2017 estimates shows that N23.7 billion would go to personnel cost, N85.8 billion for overhead and N14. 9 billion to finance capital projects. The National Assembly Management has N14.9 billion with the Senate taking N31.3 billion and the House of Representatives N49 billion, while the National Assembly Service Commission gets N2.4 billion. The budget provides N9.6 billion for legislative aides, while the Senate Public Accounts Committee takes N118.9 million and that of Reps N142.7 million. N12.5 billion has been earmarked for general services, N4.3 billion for the National Assembly Legislative Institute and N391.3 million was earmarked for service wide vote. Editor's Note: Is this not a clear indication that this people don't care if the country is sinking nor its citizens dying? more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/05/house-of-reps-member-says-n125bn-budget.html cc lalasticlala mynd44

It now safe to say that the quest to sign Chelsea playmaker by Real Madrid has become an obsession as Madrid President, Perez is willing to break the world costliest transfer record which stands at £89m. Perez is willing to offer Eden Hazard £100m to move to Real Madrid according to The London Evening Standard. The Chelsea star, 26, is top of Zinedine Zidane's shopping list and Real president Florentino Perez is ready to pay mega-money to land him. That figure would make Hazard the most-expensive footballer ever. The current record (£89m) is held by Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba. more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/05/real-madrid-president-willing-to-break.html?m=1 cc lalasticlala mynd44
