My only problem with this building is that notice board that says "Triage/Vital Station". If that notice board is not straightened, it is unlikely that the quality of service will. It is unlikely they would be able to maintain the facility. That said, this effort is commendable. They should also spend 1/10th of the amount spent on the building in training the humans that will be providing service there. Without that, there is no point. |
I need an ID card for my daughter. She is about 3 years old. International Passport is not an option at the moment given the very long processing time. Same thing also with NIN. I need it for her within country travel by next weekend. Anyone with an idea of what I can do. I know they always check ID card also for children before boarding a flight. |
Is there anything that can melt the human bones? I doubt there is if lava that hot fails to. God truly exists. |
The surest way is to find a Small sized and promising company. Show up there with skills and qualification they need. Tell them you want to work for them for free. Do an excellent job. Tell them bye after one month. They will beg you to stay and pay. It works. But for it to work, you must be solid. And ensure you get to work early and leave late. |
Fayemi has finally lost it. The desperation to fallin line with Abuja is too sickening. See an idea lacking in whatever depth. Solve the problem of weapons, pay our soldiers well and Boko Haram will be history. Tell your Oga in Abuja to name the sponsors they said they know too. Ndi .... |
Why are you lieing? If they were building business empires, we would have been lucky. They just steal, keep and spend. Where is the business empire of Ortom? Where is that of IBB? Xscape1993: |
The default setting of Nigerian government official is to LIE. And they tell the lie with a confidence that is only unique to Nigeriand. What silly excuse by the PRO there. |
You should watch Kemi Adetiba's new release. Like a number of Nigerians in this space, I can count the number of Nigerian movies I have seen. Every now and then, we find exceptional ones, KoB is one of such. I was going to attempt a review, but not sure I can commit to that. I saw the movie this morning and all characters were a perfect fit, except one. Oh! Sola Sobowale was in her full glory. Every line delivered with the brilliance of a thespian. Ade Tiger had the body movement, looks and feel you'll expect for one whose shoulder bore the responsibility he was given. Let's not talk about Nse, she is the engine that got the vehicle of KoB racing at top speed. Ajai-Lycett showed us what it means to be a bourgeoisie. She oozed it every inch of the way. Did you see how she got Nse to beg for it on her knees! Now that was a moment. The script of KoB should be kept in a museum for generations to see what this black race is capable of. It should be a course in every serious institution of learning where department of theatre arts has residence. Aare was it. That role showed the contradictions that the political class and system presents. Makanaki was too good he had to be resurrected to come back. But then, there was something wrong with his act, the energy did not match that of KoB 1. I may be wrong. How can I forget RMD? God bless his soul. The clergy per excellence whose past caught up with him in the hands of Eniola Badmus. He played the role perfectly. Sanctimonious, yet solicitating! What ever that means.... And then to the act that I think underperformed most. Charly Boy unknowingly betrayed what KoB stood for. Delivery. He wore the regalia. It fitted him. The rings also sat well on him. The crown for that role fell off his head. Each time he let out words, they fell flat. The words bounced on the screen like the feeble attempt of a one year old to mimic what the Ronaldo will do with a ball at a goal post. It felt like a boy who had been given the role of a man. I struggled to think of which Nollywood act will have bettered this. KoK may have been. It may however give the movie a different taste. No one orders for a Cognac and gets a Brandy instead. Maybe Pete Edochie, but then he will have been too old, and a little mechanical for that role. Maybe this was also the challenge for the production team. The good news is that they killed him. They shot the character of out existence. Even in dieing, he still did not die with the class befitting of the role he was assigned to play. Okay, folks. This is not a review. Just the thoughts of one who watched for straight hours. Please do not attempt to find the film on some free hosting space online. Get on Netflix for 1,200 and let's support our own. It's the least we can do in a country where the Ministry of Culture and Tourism are possible led by men and women without a taste bud for the arts. |
OP, a quick one. Help us with lessons from this experience so we can also learn to avoid situations like this, or learn how to solve matters like this. You earlier went to the bank and the bank said No. What changed this time? Who was at fault all along. In hope. I say thanks for your response. tunbosun002: |
Your personality should be a major deciding factor before you choose a career. If you love wealth there are certain career paths you can't choose. Not because you won't be wealthy, it is because you have a lower chance to and again there is a bigger chance you may get tempted. Imagine a young lecturer saying he or she wants to be as wealthy as Dangote. Chances are that your case will be like that of the NECO/JAMB man, Dibu Ojerinde. You can't be a Police Officer and be as ostentatious as Kyari. Check his Facebook timeline. That picture of him and his brothers puts the latter at risk. That profession does not fit that lifestyle. Imagine seeing my Imam that loves comedy always liking the posts of Mr. Macaroni. He can only enjoy the posts privately. You know you have a weakness for women and you are a lecturer in the School of Social Sciences. Even criminals who want to stay undetected stay off social media but then they can't help it sometimes. If you love to be in informal dresses, there are certain profession that will be hard for you to fit in. I can't go to the hospital and then I am told the doctor is the best but he is on dreads.... I'll not risk it. I'll take a walk. There are written and unwritten code for every profession. Kyari erred. He saw my Kaftan and liked it.... Are you normal at all Kyari? (In Macaroni's voice). We loved the idea that there was our own Jack Bauer somewhere but then it seems all is lost now. Don't just get a job because you need one. Get one that fits. And stay with the code. We spend over 12 hours daily on our work. It's our life. Choose wisely. |
That police woman there is impressed. Her smile says it all. |
Statistician here, help me understand this data. How did they prevent double counting? Is this the number of passengers or the number of trips? For those who have been on the train before, is there a biometrics means of capturing your identity? |
I love matters like this. It's the easiest to resolve if you know how. Just simple emails and you will be fine. 1. Get the email address of the staff attending to you at FMCB; your bank. 2. Get the official email address of FCMB too. 3. Get the Filling Station Manager's name and also the staff that you eventually transfered to. You should have the latter easily since you posted payment to him. For the Manager, also get his phone number. Armed with these, move on to stage 4. 4. Get the official email address of Mobil Nigeria or whatever name they go by. 5. Get the names of the CEO. Go to email hunter and then find his email address or use LinkedIn. 6. Draft a beautiful email listing out your points one after the other with dates. Be very clear and brief. A page at most. Attach the POS Declined document and also the document from the bank proving the transaction was right. 7. Don't go EFCC or CBN yet. 8. Send your email and wait for the magic. 9. You see why we said they cannot ban Twitter now! Na for there we dey resolve matters like this before. Best of luck with this. |
Three things could have happened. 1. Maybe they found something on you that turned them off during a final check. Check your Instagram, Facebook etc to be sure they are clean. 2. I think you should have called the agency on Friday or sent them a message. Waiting two weeks was too long. Remember the admins coordinating the process for the interviewers are also human. They may have missed out your details. 3. It is also possible the Nigerian factor played out fast and someone had a candidate that needed to be chosen. Above all, you'll get what is yours. Forge on. Pray. Do your bit too. Don't give up. It's not even an option when beans is now 1k plus. Best of luck bro/sis. |
Sad to read this. What's happening in Uyo? Everyone, especially our young people should learn to be on the alert. Concentrate when you are outside your house. Be ready to protect yourself. That's not the time to plug your ears and bury your head in your phone. The times have become dangerous. Always analyse your environment. Be as discreet as possible. Our government have become useless by the day. How difficult is it to have CCTV around cities? This will have been a crime so easy to solve. But then.... I pray succor comes her way. |
It's a satire. Something called "This is not the news" https://www.thecable.ng/extra-reps-fall-for-satire-set-to-probe-fake-report-on-china-bound-joysticks-from-nigeria Somebody cannot play with you ... |
Are you now skilled in the graphics design? Reach out to me for gigs as soon as you are. Best wishes @danilo2010 danilo2010: |
Looking forward to the day Nigeria will buy Tesla cars for Senators and HOR and it will be in Bitcoin. We will be here to laugh at this very premature decision. You can't say you won't drive cars again because you saw a car having an accident. That fraudsters use Bitcoin and as such it should be banned is the laziest reason I have heard. No wonder CBN isn't making much progress. |
What if? The Agbada and a nail there decide to marry? Good intervention from the governor. But really these kind of simply engineering should be initiated by the local government. |
I would have been surprised if he was using the seat belt. |
Now this is the most important of advice you will likely get for free. Stay wherever you are once it is 3.00pm, especially if you are travelling in a private vehicle. Check the time stamp of kidnaps in Nigeria and you will understand my point better. Safe trip and see you at the other side. |
Do not try this. Never do this with a young person. She will detest you for the rest of her life. And besides your calling her parent will not help. Parents these days also know little. They will shout, abuse her and then move on. Let me hint at what you need to do. You need to square up to the fact that this is what several girls her age do today. I know because I have had to deal with cases like this. She did not learn how to get abortion herself. She learnt from friends. Those friends also did from others. Did you see that girl in that Punch video that went viral? That is what happens when you try to force a girl to leave a pregnancy she badly does not want. There are safe procedures that will ensure nothing happens to her if that is what she wants. From what I know, when a girl wants an abortion, nothing can stop her. They will get it done at all cost irrespective of the price and implication to their health. Most importantly is what she does after now. Let her get on a family planning method. There are fitting ones for young people that will ensure for the next 3 years she will only be worried about sexually transmitted diseases and not pregnancy. After these, you can then begin to engage her to see how to move her to secondary abstinence. If you can reach out, I am more than happy to discuss with you on phone. But whatever you do, ensure you do not get her parents involved. And do not look away as well either. You can't unsee what you have seen. She may not be lucky this time with the abortion if her first was with a quack. That's when regrets will set in for you.... if she dies due to complications. Be her messiah. Do something meaningful. Best wishes as you try to solve this problem. Let's talk please. OritaIbadan: |
Your sister is normal. Basic hormonal balance issues. Do you know you can delay your menstrual period by some days.... She had some change in diet or lifestyle. It's not because she had sex. She is perfectly normal. It will self-adjust. Remember she is 21. By the time she is in her late 20s she will have a stable menstrual cycle. Tell her to relax. You too relax. |
The judgment took 6 years! This wheel of justice needs a replacement. |
Sorry to hear this. Before you start talking about the boys and getting justice for her. Let's take care of the girl first. She may have been exposed to HIV given the profile of the boys here. She may also get pregnant. If it's not too late already you need to get the girl to a hospital where she can get Post Exposure Prophylaxis, that way she won't get the virus. But this has to be under 48 hours. You also need to get her the morning after pills to prevent pregnancy. Then, she needs to speak to a counsellor too as fast as possible. The emotional pain is the heaviest for issues like this and you never can tell when it would weigh on her. After this, let's get the law to help correct the wrong from those boys. Depending on the state this happened, you can get the boys behind bars using the VAPP Act or the state version of it. Best wishes on this quest. I'm happy to provide help in case you need anything. |
Bros, no vex. No be federal government job! Maybe for once you should also see things from the employers perspective. It takes a lot to also build a business and keep it going. There is a reason why some are called multinational and some are called SMEs. These things are in stages. I work with in a medium scale organization and I know the work my boss puts into ensuring things happen and at the end of the month we all get paid. If you have brilliant ideas as to how companies can pay good salaries even if they are not making good profit yet, I am happy to listen, learn and share with others too. |

Is there one in Lagos? Kennedyiheme: |
Good one. What's the price at your end? The last price we got here was N3,500 per bag. Looking forward to your response. |
The devil has since sent a memo to Nigerian politicians complaining of the indiscriminate use of if his name and malignment of brand. He is therefore absolved for now! drips8: |
So, the language understood by the government is life consuming protests. The Shiites were well schooled in what needed to be done and how to go about it. They were also ready to pay the supreme price. There are only two things to be done to a court order - 1. Obey them. 2. Same as number one. Sowore's freedom may have to rest on protests afterall. |
